Well, considering that there is seemingly roughly a 10% kill rate of the total number of casualties (based off reported numbers hospitalized), I'd saw it sounds about right and nothing unbelievable or off about it.

Oh yeah, I saw somewhere the first callings of a false flag earlier this morning. I'm somewhat curious to see how Alex Jones approaches the issue since he proclaimed Obama was behind all the other false flag shootings but now he is pretty inline with Trump. I'm not oblivious to the fact that false flags could and probably even do exist to certain degree, but 500-600 "victims" in a crowd of I believe 10,000+, not to mention all the EMS, hospitals, etc that would also be in on it. If one tries to search and find false flags, this seems like the dumbest shooting in recent history to try and believe is one of them. This is of course in response to the "it never really happened" crowd. If someone wants to try and argue that the shooter himself was the false flag and was either a patsy or still alive, then that's entirely different.

I've been spending a bit of time thinking about the why. Unless it turns out he left some sort of manifesto/etc, I think it will just be chalked up to he wanted to do an evil thing. I looked into Jason Aldean. It seems he wasn't really all that politically outspoken, and seemingly wasn't strongly anti or pro Trump. So to me, it seems a stretch to try and connect to to something such as that unless a whole lot more comes out. Pertaining to claims he converted to Islam, I feel like that would leave traces of some sort. As to Antifa and ISIS claiming responsibility even if they weren't, I can understand ISIS going for it because they have little to lose. Would encourage their supporters and even if it turns out that he wasn't Islamic, by then their followers have already moved on to the next thing and care little about fact checking propaganda that encourages them. Antifa, I don't know what their end goal or game plan is but associating themselves with this seems like a really good way to make a lot of enemies very, very fast.

Interesting report: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/4592774/cops-hunting-asian-woman-over-las-vegas-shooting-that-left-20-dead/ Consider the source, but supposedly a woman was removed from the concert beforehand because she was screaming "They're all around... You're all going to f***ing die today". The article strongly suggests that it was his traveling companion/whatever, Marilou Danley, but I read elsewhere that she was found out of the country and completely involved with the tragedy. Anyone else pick up anything about this supposed woman?

http://gundata.org/blog/post/223-ballistics-chart/ 55 grain would have about 4' drop, travel at about half the velocity compared to its highest velocity, and about 1/5th the original energy. 50+ confirmed dead but 400+ confirmed casualties. Unless the crowd was literally so thick he couldn't miss, he had to unload potentially a few thousand. Right?

I truthfully know nothing about such systems, but I imagine that in a fancy hotel, Vegas nevertheless, all alarms would be connected centrally as to allow a quick and immediate response to the exact source of an actual fire. In other words, the fire alarm going off in his room gave responders on the ground floor his room number. I suppose we are lucky in the fact that he didn't have an accomplice, as a second shooter barricaded on the same floor as him but positioned strategically to defend against an entry team could have delayed the response by quite a long time. Honestly, I'm surprised that a SWAT sniper didn't drop him as soon as possible. I imagine that surely the situation and rules of engagement would allow such a thing, even with potential innocents in rooms next door.

I read somewhere that responders were able to locate the room because fire alarms were going off in the room from the smoke generated while shooting.

I see. What your source proclaiming that that was him during the shooting or an image pulled from some random social media account he had from time passed?

On Tapatalk, it assigned this image to the thread. Typically, the image that Tapalk assigns to a thread is found within the thread. My question, where did it get this image? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unfortunately for us, it seems there are so many different ways to use this as ammo against the 2nd. Legal MG? Proof they should be illegal. Illegal machine gun? Proof "nobody" should be able to buy that much ammo, a small box or two is all you need. Legally obtained w/ background check? Proof buying guns is too easy and should be banned outright. Purchased without background check? Proof we need to mandate background checks!

Heat? Different loads (different grain bullet, powder charges) of ammo? Or possibly indicative of a bump fire stock?

Why is it that it seems more often than not witnesses recall multiple shooters? I have never seen any sort of combat other than your standard action movie, you have served as well as others here. Is it simply that confusing or overwhelming with all the fear/adrenaline? I ask because conspiracy theorists always gravitate towards reports of multiple gunman vs. the "after story".

I cannot express the sorrow and sadness that overwhelms me. So many lives ended and affected for what seems like no other reason than Paddock wanted to go out in flames and fame. This is a very interesting case indeed, mostly because of the details. Shooter's age 64 I believe, quite outside the mean for these types of things. Tactical planning There was no way any of the victims could immediately oppose the threat. I will be interested to learn whether he was taken down with a long gun from outside or an entry team from within. Hardware Used Seemingly full-auto, I have no experience with a "bump-stock" so unsure whether that is a possibility but it definitely sounded like the real deal. Of course this raises the questions as to where he got it, legally or otherwise, and what his background was. Unless I am mistaken, I believe this would be the first use of an actual automatic weapon in a U.S. mass shooting since the North Hollywood shootout. Trump I guess now we get to see exactly how Pro 2nd he actually is, and whether or not he believes "Pro Gun" means running onto your back porch with your double barrel and shooting off those two warning shots. What always worries me about these types of incidents are the possibility that there is another random nut job out there that is 99.9% of the way there and then an event like this gives him the remaining .1% of courage/inspiration to carry out their brutality.

Haha. Yes. I have about 12 years experience in CAD. When I read that, I thought the exact same thing. Dumb but someone out there is going to buy the thing because they put that specification in the grip and that someone is going to take it hook, line, and sinker. I sort of like the gun. I wish they made a CZ Scorpion that took Glock magazines. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I found this firearm by reading this article, seeing the firearm listed, and thinking "What the heck is that?". https://jalopnik.com/idiot-couple-snapchats-themselves-shooting-guns-blindly-1818976058 https://masterpiecearms.com/shop/mpa30dmg-9mm-pistol/ As soon as I saw the picture of the firearm, I thought "That's a Glock magazine!". One of these with either a brace or turned into an SBR seems like it would be awesome. Does anyone have any experience with any of these?

The more I thought about it, the more I realized the 6.5 seems the way to go for a pistol. Roughly 6.5" at 100 yards, so at half that it's 3.25". Theoretically, if I could keep a grouping at 3.25" at 50 yards with a Glock, I'd be plenty satisfied. Sidenote, the second Activejunky credit came through. The first one never did. I suspect it is because I did the first one on a computer I have lots of ad-block, anti-tracking/advertising stuff on so I suspect the referral was blocked by my own doing! The second time I did it on my MacBook Pro which I just updated to High Sierra (clean install), so I didn't have any of that on it. I contacted Activejunky, letting them know everything (tracking ID, order number, etc). Maybe I will get lucky and they will credit me anyways.
