  1. But if it is all “that bad”, then shouldn’t you be concerned about living there and likewise report it now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. See, life doesn't suck for you. You are getting away from that mess and into what will likely turnout to be a better place! Then you can you, in time, find whatever place you love just as much or more.
  3. Oh, it sounds like for sure he'll be moving
  4. Eh. Stuff happens. This doesn't make your life easier but I respect the owner's right. It's his property that he owns and lets other people live in for money. There are laws regarding this sort of thing, but if he follows the correct procedure he can and should be able to "evict" anyone with zero cause at all. That's how freedom is supposed to work, anyways. His property, his say. Now, I think there is something like 30-90 days from the time he "evicts you" that you have to actually be gone. I think there are probably certified letters involved. My thoughts? Either do the right thing or do the right thing. I too was in a somewhat similar situation (landlord wanted to sell the house as fast as possible, I didn't want to stick around for "home showings" and a possible new landlord. I moved out and as quick as possible. If you have somewhere to go, you could leave immediately and not pay another penny in rent. That'd cut potentially a few thousand out of his pocket over the next few months, as he knows he isn't going to sign another six or twelve month lease with a new tenant. He could go month to month, but that'd sure be screwing someone over renting to a new tenant knowing you'll kick them out in a few months. You could theoretically stop paying rent. He could serve you eviction notices early, but it'd still take 30-90 days (estimated) to actually get out. Again, do the right thing. Just be cordial. Pay rent when you live there. Don't go nuts yanking out sinks and putting broken ones back in. Most people in that business care not about the tenant, but only the money coming in. I wasn't late for 5 years of renting, fixed stuff as well, even patched a few drywall holes before leaving (but didn't paint). I had to fight tooth and nail via the real estate company managing the place (I went to school with the owner's daughter, they were on my side) against the landlord because he didn't think we deserved the $300 in safety deposit we put in back in 2012. We finally got it.
  5. I had convinced myself over the weekend that I’d buy a 19x to try it but then found out about the magazine issue that you speak of. Sorta destroyed all plans in that simple fact alone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. In all seriousness, I very much doubt this "someone" is a member of TGO.
  7. There was more to the story, as in, that person absolutely hates the company we work for. So, that wasn't the first nor the last time he's caused us trouble.
  8. Yes, I was going to say this. Having experience in a similar field, it is rather a quite common thing for homeowners to go absolutely off the wall regarding ROW (Right of Way) or easements. A lot of times these workers get threatened themselves. @conn_air7 was once, to some extent, threatened to be "confronted or killed" for turning the company truck around in someone's driveway.
  9. It was one of their daily deals. I suppose it "sold out" via Amazon.com (but still available from other retailers through Amazon, just at higher prices).
  10. I don’t believe you can run across a lake or 70 mph, much less both at the same time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. https://amzn.to/2IIu2TL $39.99 is $20.00 less than usual, a good deal! Good for 4/10/2018 only.
  12. Are those trigger improvements to the 19x specifically or all Gen 5 pistols? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. That Jason Demo...wow. Simply amazing. If he is half as proficient with a firearm as he is a camera...people beware! I was actually just thinking this morning that one section of my portfolio that is vastly absent is the firearms/tactical field. You'd think that wouldn't be the case but I've never really got around to it at all. What very much impressed me with Demo is his processing. Between composition and post processing, his work is phenomenal.
  14. Try to take everything you've ever thought as a car buyer and incorporate that into becoming a quality salesman. I don't mean seeing how many possible cars you can possibly sell, but rather becoming a quality, trustworthy person. My personal pet peeves: A salesman answering a question when he doesn't know the answer. Just tell me you don't know dude and then try and find the answer A salesman whose opinions/comments seem slick and change dependent upon what you are thinking (As in, conflicting statements across an hour or two period as if the buyer doesn't have a memory at all). Just be honest and say what you know to be factual. Please, by all means, don't try to sell a person more vehicle than they can afford. Don't try to sell an 18 year old with a $150/week job a brand new vehicle simply because you can finance it for 84 months at $349/month. Personally, I couldn't do it. I feel my values/ethics would conflict with the motives of the dealership. Unless I worked with a group that was legitimately full of good, honest people, I'd find myself clashing too much with management. None of this is directed directly at you, @Steelharp. You seem like an upstanding character! If I were nearer you, I'd love to come give you a chance next time I make a purchase. I just, really, ultimately, very, very much disdain car salesman
  15. Haha. No. I was referencing the fact that you used the literal word “yell” instead of “tell”. Simply a typo I’m sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. My advice? Tell, don’t yell:D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. But if you go tell your bank and tell them that they (in this case, the firearms association) took money out of your account and then your bank passes it along to their bank, all the while when you gave them permission (on purpose or not), they in get trouble over a bit of confusion on your end. They wouldn’t be in the wrong. It would be like me paying you $10.00 via credit card for some ammo and then me going to my bank telling them that you stole money from me. That’s what he was talking about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Does it matter? As long as Oh Shoot is happy:D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. - Personally, I think someone wasn't paying attention while donating/shopping:D
  20. Could it be that one of the things that you most definitely DID donate to had a checkbox at the donation page saying something along the lines of "Check here to support the Firearms Policy Coalition with a one time donation of $5.00?" That is also possible. I'm not sure whether that organization "partners" with anyone is a way such as that but it is somewhat common for groups such as that to "piggy back" off each other.
  21. For anyone confused, here is what can be seen regarding the above post by @TGO David It is probably just @TGO David exploiting another glitch in the matrix.
  22. Sorry Hozzie, sounds like David’s neighbor owns you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. See, this is a point that I find myself disagreeing with even most gun owners with. In my opinion the background check system itself is an infringement. Clearly, as seen over the past few tragedies, these shooters passed background checks. Now, perhaps the last one shouldn’t have but he did. The shooters in San Bernardino basically arranges straw purchases for them since they failed the background checks. However, purely my opinion, but if someone is an American citizen and not incarcerated, I think that person should be able to purchase, own, and possess a firearm. It has been argued that violent people should not be allowed to own a firearm, my refutation to that is if a person has shown repeatedly to be violent towards others unnecessarily, then perhaps that person should not be free in the streets but rather in prison. Assuming that a violent con will not/can not gain access to a firearm, they will just resort to using other dangerous weapons or tools. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Yep. And admit it or not, those kids went through a more traumatic experience than most of us here at TGO ever have. Grab a group of them who or either anti-gun or undecided and give them travel, room, and food, and that is exactly how you get to where we are right now. Making fun of them isn’t going to help anything. That will only help convince others that the extreme pro-gun side is the wrong, uncaring, heartless side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Another thing that is extremely underrated is simply education. For example, I've noticed that a lot of neutral people lean anti-gun simply because their entire knowledge base regarding firearms has came from Hollywood. I little education and demonstration and sometimes these neutral people actually turn out to at least be somewhat pro-gun. That's a step in the right direction.
