  1. Thanks for posting that. It wasn't what I expected. I came here expecting a reality show about taking "dangerous" firearms and destroying them with fire, saws, etc. What I found was very informative. Appreciated the non-biased viewpoint of things, especially the point about Ronald.
  2. That's a really neat idea and I'm sure they'll sell a lot of them. I'm not sure whether or not I'd like it! But I would try it if it didn't cost me anything.
  3. Personally I would try these “MagicFiber” cloths. They are my favorite Microfiber cleaning cloths.
  4. Ugh...sorry guys. I have very limited experience with suppressors. I thought doing what I suggested above was common? Only for pistol calibers and maybe .300 AAC Blackout? What's the deal? Having something clog the suppressor and it explode next to your hand? Or heat? Or something else?
  5. Yeah, I came here simply to say this: If it isn't something that is being done, it is probably for really, really good reason. I mean, you could do something awesome like an SBR with longer hand-guard that envelopes the suppressor. I mean, that's the right way to do it:) EDIT: MAYBE NOT, I THOUGHT DOING SO WASH KOSHER BUT MAYBE IT ISN'T.
  6. 1st World Problem, but I agree 100%. Few things irk me as much as seeing a portrait mode video. Like yo, do you have your TV turned portrait as well? I like streaming videos from peoples' phones onto our Apple TV. It is hilariously frustrating when it was filmed in portrait and then they don't understand why it doesn't fill the entire screen.
  7. Yeah, I'm irritated. It is for this reason I got really pissed at the NRA. I as much have started telling the telemarketers when they call asking for money to oppose "Tem dem'crats hoo wanna take you're guns"
  8. https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/02/robert-farago/breaking-president-trump-direct-justice-department-ban-bump-stocks/ So nobody claims what I suggested above was "fake news".
  9. If my last comment wasn't clear, it was expressing disgust that Trump could have easily thought to himself "Republican House, Republican Senate, I'm going the blame Vegas (amongst all other mass shootings) on the perpetrator and not the equipment used. No anti-gun stuff will happen in the current climate". Guess what! He didn't! Instead he predicted, encouraged, and even called for bump stocks to be banned. So...in 100% honesty, what did Obama ever actually accomplish that was anywhere near this?
  10. Yay! Good thing we have Trump in office or we may have seen our rights taken away. Donald. Accomplishing more anti-gun measures in 2 years than when Barry had 8! That's progress!
  11. I think you could do some really neat stuff with Ubiquiti hardware: https://unifi-protect.ubnt.com May cost some, but I can tell you that the building/range shown in the photo wasn't cheap! May not be a bad idea to throw up a few facing the shooting bench areas as well. Friend or foe, if an accident happened it my be priceless to have some footage recorded of what actually happened vs what was claimed to have happened.
  12. I’ve never been to any library in Virginia. To be fair, the Library of Alexandria doesn’t really exist anymore but the point still stands.
  13. Yeah, but what you do know would be the size of Alexandria.
  14. Wonder if they accept out of state employees:) Web design? Photographic services?
  15. Not if it is a state law. Replace president with governor.
  16. Look at this everyone... http://furycarrysolutions.com/concealment-series-holster/ Found these guys by accident. Went into Cleveland Shooting Sports/Volunteer Ordnance Works. They had a lot of their products on the shelf, sadly nothing for the Glock 19 w/ TLR-7 Combo. But Fury's website does! I get the Squared Away Customs holster today. I'll check it out when I get home. However, I think in a few weeks I'll go ahead and order from Fury, it looks like a near Phantom copy. But...maybe I'll love the Squared Away Zulu and won't need another. I'm going to give it a legitimate try.
  17. Who cares. You’re high tech now remember? It all does it for you;)
  18. But the way I read it, we could do away with the NFA entirely simply by never educating the next generation about it. They couldn't be convinced the first time if they didn't know it was illegal. That is...an interesting precedent.
  19. Really, this seems like a good case for gun owners overall. Bad example of a defendant, maybe.
  20. All of these pictures sadden me. To be honest, I would have probably just abandoned it. I remember what these sold for, and they were nearly like new at $79.99. However, you seem enthusiastic and committed, so I really, really hope you continue with this project and come up with something good.
  21. But...that could also be done inversely to a certain extent. What happens if the ATF shows the jury 5 different short barreled AR-15's with different stock options on them. Then shows the jury a "pistol" with a brace such as the ones from SB Tactical (would be the defendant's firearm, what they were on trial for). The ATF is able to show how functionally, it can be used as a stock. Then, "If these 5 stocks to the right constitute a short barreled rifle and require a tax stamp, why is it that the defendant thinks he can use this "brace" as a stock in lieu of paying his tax?". It is absurd, and shows the absurdity of why short barreled rifles should be non-NFA, but it is the law. Personally, I think the ATF screwed up when they started allowing these not-a-stock-but-can-be-used-as-a-stock braces in the first place. I am 100% against the NFA in concept, but I do respect that they are laws that have to be followed. And I fully admit that most of these "braces" are in spirit a violation of the NFA.
  22. Dang. Good job. He got me, saying he had a P-01. I think it was via PM but maybe he responded to my thread, I don't remember. I barely paid attention when I saw that he was in Texas. I didn't immediately think spammer/scammer, but glad you caught him when you did.
  23. Sad that these are no longer cheap and plentiful. I had an M44 about 8 years ago. Paid I think $140 or so for it. It was in great condition, and a blast to shoot. Wish I had kept it.
