I say let them go. I wish all the people who have supported the NRA over the years would "switch" to either the GOA or SAF, but I know that will not happen. Truthfully, the only thing that saddens me is that the left will consider it a huge victory and even take credit for the "failure of the NRA". Really though, it looks like the NRA has nobody to blame but themselves.

Just what everyone needs...a US Army Bridge Erection Boat

Well...everyone send me money via PayPal and of course I’ll make it happen for us. -
To be quite honest, the entire story and case seems very odd, even moreso as more information is released.

With zero evidence as to support my theory, but I personally wondered if the defendant made some sort of comment such as "Those people over there are dead" and started to aim his rifle in their direction. In haste, someone could theoretically twist the knobs on his scope quite hastily and fire some warning shots into the air. Just a guess.

Well..maybe. I'll state that I'm open to the "mercy killing" but that's a huge argument on its own. It could be that "mercy" was their intentions, but it could also be that "mercy" sounds much better than "cold blooded killer". As far as shooting at civilians, in that instance it was referenced from other squad members that they "tampered with his rifle and also shot warning shots into the air". Who knows? Maybe that's true, maybe it isn't. I imagine "tampering" in this case means either adjusting his zero or removing the scope entirely if it were on a QD mount, etc.

And...based on my last comment....if you don't get this...you don't get this.

Not really Tellico. Gee Creek is of 411 north of Benton. Or you can go up 64, cut left onto highway 30, turn right at the bridge near Webb's Float Service, and then turn left at a backroad that will take you to the same spot. https://goo.gl/maps/Y2W7dRHWMoMbGQQ66 I'm not really sure why it's called "Gee Creek" campground, etc. It seems the road, range, and creek are "Spring Creek". Who knows? But it is in the direction of Telico...if you are coming from Cleveland

I mostly agree with Dave, I think it is reasonable to do a certain amount of things (such as perhaps carrying a handgun, knife, and flashlight), but I'm not about to forgo everything "with a crowd" on the off chance that it may be targeted by evil. Because I very well could spend everyday for 10 years sitting around, thinking that I was beating the odds by not going to large gatherings, and then die of a heart attack. Or I could be involved in an accident on my way home from work today.

I don't know what happened, I wasn't there. But generally speaking, I would really, really like to think that We (as in, The United States of America) are above shooting at two Iraqi citizens, an old man and a young girl or stabbing a teen that looked about 12 years old when his team was attempting to give the teen treatment. War is brutal, I don't deny that. But I'm not sure how the above situations fall into the concept of war instead of sport. Again, I wasn't there. At minimum there was just extreme discord in that unit, which you are correct, that is crazy. At most, perhaps there really was just someone in that unit that enjoyed killing for sport and the rest of the team didn't feel up to it.

Well of course I'll pickup...someone else just has to pay! -
That's good, because I hit Enhance and realized what the uniforms of those other six guys say.

Small arms ammunition, including ammunition not exceeding .75 caliber and shotgun shells of any gauge, may be carried in the same hard-sided case as the firearm.

It's been a long time since I've been there, but it is indeed an awesome place. Love the Ka-Bars, I've been meaning to pick one up basically just like the top one. The bottom one is...big!

USC (United Sporting Companies) goes belly up.

Ah...they'll probably just pay Benchmade to destroy all of it. I kid...I kid! -
I wondered on what basis could the rioters be protesting. It seems it is obvious to anyone honest with themselves that it was a justified shooting. I now believe that perhaps part of the controversy is what allegedly happened afterwards. https://www.theroot.com/protesters-and-police-clash-in-memphis-after-officer-in-1835485012 police shot some man and left him for dead and didn’t get him in the ambulance just left him in the grass I don't know if this is true. If they did effectively and purposely let him bleed out, that is wrong. I have no idea if they did. But in a shooting where the suspect is downed and then disarmed, assuming there are no other apparent threats, I have the personal belief that law enforcement should do anything in their reasonable power to get the suspect as much medical attention needed as quickly as possible. Yes, he did use his vehicle as a weapon and yes, he did theoretically jump out of his vehicle with the intent to go armed. But, as soon as he was downed and the scene was declared safe, EMS should have been there. Again, I don't know how true that is regarding this situation. It may have little, if any, relevance.

Makes sense. I guess I just didn't realize they would have the ability to investigate a Federal incident such as this. I guess they can do whatever though as long as politics aren't directly involved.

Curious. How is TBI investing a US Marshall shooting?

Suppressors may be next on Trump’s list
GlockSpock replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I'm on board with everything you just said In all seriousness, my only thought was that there are indeed Pro Gun Democrats and history shows there are plenty of anti gun Republicans. -
But only on the front in really, really small print.

And to be fair, the Gun Owners Protection Act did offer some good things, but the Hughes Amendment was dirty politics. Reagan could have sent it back and demanded that the Hughes Amendment be removed but didn’t. -

Hughes Amendment. Signed by Reagan. Wasn’t a point to or against you, but rather the “Republicans are the only ones that protect the 2nd Amendment” people.
