  1. You've went (at least) 21 years without carrying...you can wait another week or two tops. The chance of trouble it could cause you isn't worth the benefit.
  2. As far as I know, yep he's in prison.[ What happened to his "friend"? Well...he's dead. Actually, he was the FFL behind the channel...and how he (FPSRussia) was able to use such awesome firearms in his videos. They never really figured anything out regarding his murder.
  3. Driving under an overpass rarely causes me anxiety. Around here (Chattanooga and Cleveland), I cannot really think of anywhere that there is a stopsign/light under an overpass, at least not that I travel frequently. The only thing that generally causes my anxiety on the related topic is sitting on an overpass over busy traffic. I am very much a realist and realize that things can and do fail, especially when it was built in the 1950's. With that being said, generally I have had a really good track record in the sense that I have never had a bridge/overpass fail me. I figure if it is going to happen, it would likely be to one of the many other people. Being 30 minutes from where I live certainly did shake those views a bit True. Stuff like this happening always brings it up in priority, but is often forgotten quickly.
  4. I guess it's pretty dang easy to get inspection reports for public roads, or something. https://docs.google.com/viewerng/viewer?url=https://WRCB.images.worldnow.com/library/52d21583-4388-4f82-8f52-e9ce33ae2c22.pdf
  5. https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/bridge-collapses-on-i-75-in-chattanooga-interstate-closed-in-both-directions/936050582 I guess...April Fools? Crazy. Bridges are something you just generally trust all the time.
  6. You can technically even multi-quote between threads using that button. Hit the "+" button on a thread and then either navigate to another thread or refresh a current thread in a different tab/window.
  7. So I ask, where is FPS Russia when you need him?
  8. https://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/russia-s-shotgun-wielding-drone-is-the-flying-nightmare-1833617897 With a small amount of artificial intelligence, could you imagine a few of these flying high and then dropping quickly and each taking several blasts at a target about 25 yards away? They would make a cheap but effective weapon.
  9. This is great. However, done enough or on a large scale, I fear this (somehow) ends badly.
  10. Oh, I know and completely disagree with it. The last time the NRA called and asked me a question regarding where they should "focus on" in the next year, I lost it. It was multiple choice,, and I forget the possible answers. I told them to actually do something pro-gun for once and pointed out that in two years Trump has already done more anti-gun stuff than the entire eight years of Obama. She basically said she couldn't really make a comment on any of that and thanked me for my time.
  11. I'm still curious about one thing. The law clearly defines a machine gun as more than one round fired per function of the trigger, correct? Lets say someone got arrested for possession of a machine gun (but is really a bump stock). It seems that the law itself could/would be in the defendants favor. IANAL I also know that in all likelihood, that person would go to prison.
  12. Agreed. I think a person would be stupid to either take one to a range or transport it in their vehicle. I'm not advocating keeping them because that is very obviously illegal at this point, but I don't foresee them attempting to track any of them down based on orders/purchases. I do foresee (potentially) some pro-gun jurisdictions/cops turning a blind-eye, but I also see anti-gun jurisdictions/cops attempting to treat them exactly as an illegal machine-gun if they run across them.
  13. Dang. I missed this one by about 6 months. I joined February 8, 2012.
  14. I’m...not exactly sure what to interpret that image as.
  15. Truthfully...that's exactly what I thought.
  16. @TGO David Is it possible/do you see the need to temporarily turn this thread into a "banner" that is somehow shown as the top of the homepage, etc? Something just to make sure all visiting members can see?
  17. It's a shame this happened in the first place the way it did...but it's even a bigger slap in the face that they were not "buying back" the stocks. It's a shame.
  18. Try this? https://bit.ly/2OvbMS4
  19. @AFgixxerTN I, with confidence, can say you could handle a 12 Gauge with 2 3/4 shells.
  20. Thanks! Glad to see the status updates yesterday. There for a second I thought that maybe the Collusion thread broke all of TGO.
  21. Agree 100%...if the training was for the teachers. This...I don't know about. If the training for was LEO to train response tactics to an active shooter event...shooting the teachers by the "shooters" accomplished nothing but giving someone their jollies. If the training was for the teachers themselves...and if they teachers signed paperwork acknowledging what could happen...I have lesser and lesser a problem for it.
  22. Exactly as @DaveTN states. Which is why if Tennessee were to ever surprise us and gain constitutional carry, I'd personally prefer that alongside it there was some permitting process to keep reciprocity with other states. I personally think it'd suck to gain constitutional carry but lose all of your reciprocity. But...seeing how legislation in Tennessee has been, I'll roll over in my grave (because I'll have been dead a long time) if they ever pass constitutional carry.
  23. @DaveTN Sidenote: Do I think a few of the participants likely took things too far? Yes, I'll agree with that. I would take things too far...so I understand where they are coming from.
