  1. Serious question. How would you, Dave, prove to a judge that you are not a threat? In all honesty? If someone accused you as to making a death threat to them. Perhaps a Judge with an anti-gun slant and/or connections to the accuser is the person overseeing the "case". How would you, the accused, prove you were not a threat?
  2. I am 99.9% sure this is a feature @TGO David was working on. I'm not sure whether it was ever matured any. I think the idea was to have some sort of "Company Directory" in which companies (ranges, gun stores, etc) could be listed, ranked, etc. That's my take. So I wouldn't worry about not having access to it, it's still "behind the scenes" I think. As far as making it "read"...you may be out of luck?
  3. Maybe. I just want something I can afford to shoot.
  4. I said M4 because they are automatic
  5. It basically starts there. Essentially, "this restriction" is reasonable so let's just concede there and be done with this. However, then they want another slice. Then another. You are then left with the little sliver we have now and some gun owners figure it's reasonable for them to tell us when and how we can eat it. Click that above image to see the rest.
  6. Further emphasize this point so I know what you mean?
  7. Especially when not only is it advertised as such but he also has more guns on the table for sale that many people here own. Couple that with the fact that many of these people as such are supplementing their income by buying/selling guns, even the ATF would consider them a dealer (albeit not a properly setup one). Personally, I think you should be able to stop at Ace Hardware on the way home, pay cash, and walkout with an M4 no questions asked. You know, a little concept called freedom.
  8. So I have a hard time seeing "common sense" in something that will have a zero impact on shootings of any kind.
  9. Yes of course, common sense. Would background checks have stopped the El Paso shooter?
  10. Regardless...no wall/immigration and no background checks OR wall/immigration and background checks... At the end...he yells I DID IT.
  11. But this are only for common calibers, and mostly pistol calibers at that.
  12. By no means is this a cost effective solution, so it may not even be considered a solution at all, but it is technically the best overall solution: LaserLyte Snap caps that fire lasers! No gumming up anything.
  13. Still good. So good, we did it for my Wife's Kindle as well last night.
  14. Tough question...with any number of imperfect answers...and the issue of future hindsight possibly showing any chosen solution to be...wrong.
  15. So...I am a huge fan of the Kindle Paperwhites. I just "tried" a deal to see if it would combine and so far...I think it did. Their "top" Paperwhite is normally $249.99. Today it is $199.99, which is an ok deal. However, I scored and let me show you how. https://amzn.to/2ln0ioV On that page there is the "Upgrade and save with Trade-in" button. I traded in an old Kindle and they instantly gave me a $30.00 gift card balance on my account. They've provided a free shipping label to ship it back to them. However, that is not where you get the most benefit. You get the most benefit because they apply a promotion to your account giving you 25% off a new Kindle. Guess what? It's combinable with the existing discount. However, it applies to the full purchase price and not the discounted price. My order essentially looks like this: Items: $249.99 -$62.50 (The "Kindle Trade-in Promo" -- 25% of $249.99) -$50.00 (The amount of the original "Prime Day" deal bringing it to $199.99) -$30.00 (They gift card amount given for trading in) You are looking at 107.49 plus tax for a $249.99 Kindle Paperwhite 32GB with Cellular. However, I elected not to use the $30.00 Gift Card. Why? Because the amount for a Kindle charged to an Amazon Rewards Chase card gives 25% cash back today. That should be the amount charged. For me personally, they charged $150.90, so I should get $37.72 cash back to my credit card. And I have a $30.00 gift card balance for any other purchase. So...in reality...I got the Paperwhite for $69.77.
  16. Oh...priceless Using his hand-drawing of the new rifle, he placed an advertisement in Shotgun News and soon sold-out the first batch. Barrett was contacted by the CIA who purchased a number of rifles for the Afghan Mujahideen for use in their war against the Soviet Union. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronnie_Barrett
  17. I looked up a picture just to see what he looks like. Unless he was wearing a company shirt that said "Ronnie Barret - Owner" I doubt I'd pic him out of a crowd. With that being said...that's a sweet pin. That's...about all I could afford with Barrett's name attached to it.
  18. I've had a few of those over the years...yes they are awesome.
  19. Lifestraw: $9.89 on 7/15/2019 https://amzn.to/2luoiXs The Amazon Prime Visa card will give you 15% back on that specific item.
  20. I...suddenly know the feeling. I wasted two of the fittings just having fun and showing my Wife how it works. Let her put a fitting together.
  21. Finally tackled this project today. I was able to remove the nut from the right side (in the photos) of that PRV, but was not able to loosen the threads on the connection on the left. I ended up cutting the ProPEX, threaded in the new PRV, and then used my handy dandy new Milwaukee tool to fit the new fitting. So far so good.
  22. I am and will always be a fan of Ares Gear: https://www.aresgear.com/ Their Aegis Enhanced is what I've used for several years now and the Ranger for several years before that. Doesn't look "traditional", but performs very well.
