I've never heard of this this guy until today, but I have two questions. 1) What is an "encrypted oversea bank account"? All banks use encryption in some form or fashion, does that make your bank account an encrypted bank account? 2) If 4.5 million dollars were involved, right not at least front him the money for a high caliber rifle with a scope?

Well. Has a power strip ever caused a fire? I mean, I'm not saying that my instance would result in this but I'm pretty sure that the majority of people whom have had their house burn down from a power strip probably figured that it'd be ok. Electricity isn't my expertise, but I very much do respect it. I think to play it completely safe I'll buy a simple power cord that's a bit longer and plug the extra printer up to the wall for now. That should eliminate any concern of overloading the power strip.

Lol. I have had a B+W laser printer that supports duplexing and an automatic document feeder for the scanner for a while. I got a free color laser printer yesterday that does not scan and does not duplex. I bet I print about 100 pages a year, most of them labels to ship stuff to TGO people. I figured it'd be nice to have the option of printing some color documents occasionally and couldn't say no. The "real" answer to my predicament is someday I'm going to just replace both devices with a color duplexing unit that has an ADF. But until then, it looks like I'll be fine.

The main thing that I know is that 1160W + 1104W > 1920W. My main concern simply being I figured they'd both peak when they both gain power, essentially meaning that after a power outage they'd both power at the same time. Honestly at some point I'll probably do exactly that, if for no other reason than curiosity. But realistically, I ask myself the following question, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong. What's the worst that could happen? Tripped breaker? No issue. Fire? Big issue. That said, what causes fire? Heat. What causes electrical heat? In this case, I'm assuming overloaded wires for an extended time. Even if the theoretical peak is too high, as soon as the printers "calm down", they use 75W and 43W each. In sleep, they use 8W and 4W. Even if while printing they each use 390W and 420W, so combined roughly equivalent to that of a PSU for a high end PC.
-
That would completely undo the "really good deal" I got. In all seriousness, I'd much rather just get rid of one of the printers than to upgrade wiring.
-
Maybe so. I'd much rather overthink than under think something like this. Secondly, I wonder why "overthink" is one word and "under think" is two? Or am I overthinking that one as well? I looked at the manual for the power strip and found this: Electrical Rating: 125V~ 60Hz 15A 1875W To be safe, I may buy a power cable and run one of the printers directly to the same outlet. That would spread the load out and away from the power strip. That should be fine? I think I'd be more in danger of overheating a relatively cheap power strip and melting or causing a fire rather than overloading a circuit without it tripping? If the power strip is 15A and the circuit is 20A I could overload the power strip without ever tripping a breaker, right?

Backstory, I found a great deal on a color laser printer locally so I snagged it. I already have a black and white laser printer and it has a built in scanner. The color printer does not have a scanner or duplexing. I had original plans to incorporate both of them into my home office environment. But at some point I started have a bit of a second thought regarding power usage. I know for a fact you should not plug a laser printer up to a UPS so that got me thinking along the lines of my power strip. Here is all of the hardware involved: Brother HL-L3210CW Brother DCP-L2550DW Anker 332 USB Power Strip I did some research and found the following via Brother's website: https://support.brother.com/g/b/spec.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hll3210cw_us_eu_as https://support.brother.com/g/b/spec.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=dcpl2550dw_us I'm assuming that the peak draw is when the printer first starts. The peak wattage for each printer is: 1160W and 1104W. 2264W Total between the two. The printing and ready wattage amounts are much lower. Both of these printers are plugged into the Anker Power Strip listed above which takes a single plug to the wall. I'll have to test further but there is a high likelihood that my custom PC is also on the same circuit. As a test, I decided to flip the switch on the power strip and then turn both printers on at exactly the same time. When I did this, some lights (LED) gently flickered for a second. Out of caution, I've got one of the printers unplugged. I'm assuming this is a 15A circuit. What are your thoughts? Should I scrap the idea of having these both on the same circuit? Or should I simply run a longer power cord for one of the printers directly the the wall? Is the issue moreso on the power strip or the circuit? What sort of issues/danger do I have here, if any? Is it ok since they only use the peak amount for a very brief moment and then settle down to roughly 10W when in "sleep"? The chances of me printing to both of them at the same time is almost zero, although I did do that as a test just now. It seemed fine.

$125.00 Shipped, Payment via Zelle I'd love to sell and ship this soon. This bundle includes the following items: Level Lock+ Satin Nickel Level Smart Keypad Now, when doing research, make sure you read about the Level Lock+. They have other locks that are similar. Of note, this one supports "touch unlock" as well as Apple's Home Key. Apple's Home Key is fantastic, read about it here. Obviously you need a compatible phone or watch to use it with Home Key. Otherwise, you can use it with the RFID cards, the key, Bluetooth from iOS or Android, Wi-Fi if you have an Apple TV, or Thread support if they ever add that like they said they would. You can replace the cylinder or have it re-keyed. What you see is exactly what you get in factory reset form. If for some reason you do have issue, there is a "Factory Reset" button the the bolt itself. There are countless videos on how to install these but you do need to be the right combination of physically handy with tools paired with technologically skilled. It isn't hard, but it may not be for everyone. Everything should arrive in perfectly working order, but I can also order a CR2 from Amazon and have it shipped to your house. Of course, some of the hardware shows some wear but nothing major. The main part is the cap for the battery where it's been slightly hitting a strike plate. -
At first I assumed that a random Twitter post that cites nothing likely has nothing to do with the truth, but I searched for some of the text snippets from the screenshot and found this: https://www.3wiresports.com/articles/2024/8/3/0d4ucn50bmvbndhhqjohaneccoqueq I don't know the credibility of that site but it seems to maybe be the source or referencing the same source as the Tweet. This link seems to affirm some of that: https://www.iba.sport/news/iba-clarifies-the-facts-the-letter-to-the-ioc-regarding-two-ineligible-boxers-was-sent-and-acknowledged/

In Chattanooga I found an Office Furniture Works. They primarily sell used equipment but are open to anyone willing to pay. They generally are in the business of catering new/used to businesses of any size and end up with a lot of "trade-in" equipment. I picked up a quality HON chair there for like $100.00 but they do have most of the higher end brands. Nothing is quite guaranteed to be in stock, can generally order anything new, and offer whatever used inventory they have at the time. I'd say you are in even better luck in Nashville, I was super happy to find such a place in Chattanooga.

I have no expectation of this becoming law, but if it did I think we'd see prices plummet. Any machinist with any decent skill could manufacture a quality suppressor. You'd see so many manufacturers jump into this market they'd stumble over themselves having to compete with each other. You would probably see shortages and maybe price increases by any of the "big" manufacturers, but long term even they'd have to compete with everyone else. It'd be similar to flashlights. Surefire charges hundreds for a flashlight but you can buy a cheap $0.99 LED flashlight at the gas station. They obviously aren't one and the same and many do end up spending the hundreds for the Surefire (I know I certainly have) and while the $0.99 option is likely junk I bet there are thousands of quality $50.00 - $100 lights on the market. Not everyone would be purchasing Surefire or SilencerCo suppressors. For many, the $49.99 Bass Pro or PSA promo deal would be plenty fine. If only this were a problem to have to put up with. -

$110.00 Shipped - Payment via Zelle Selling my Airpods Pro 2. It's the case with the Lightning connector. They work great and the cable/extra tips are new and unused. These are legitimate Airpods Pro 2, not some weird counterfeit product. They do show a small amount of wear, mainly on the exterior of the case.

Well, frankly that math I posted is something I think is on par with 4th or 5th grade. It’s been a while, it’s 6th at the latest.

Well, assuming that it’s all pure coincidence that guy has a hell of a portfolio.

I also wonder...what is the likelihood of an independent photographer that captured some images at the event and had some of Trump's "reactionary" photos thinking to themselves..."I"m going to make this photo a little bit more interesting and see if I can sell it". Or...assuming he was shooting for someone and was in contract that they would have the rights to the images, perhaps doctoring the photo purely for fame.

If the bullet was 3000fps, a shutter speed of 1/8000 would roughly give you 4.5" worth of bullet travel. But if the bullet was faster it would be a bit more bullet travel. That said, even taking the FPS to 4000fps would only increase your bullet travel by 1/3rd. That looks like greater than 4.5" of bullet travel based on the size of his head, that's assuming that the path of the bullet is on the same vertical plane as his head. If the bullet is closer to the camera than Trump, then it could very well be 4.5" of bullet travel.

I tried finding the metadata for the publicly available image but it was stripped before publishing. Do not be alarmed, this is very common for photographers to do when exporting from Lightroom/Photoshop. I wouldn't assume that the lack of detailed exposure settings means anything is at food. So, I'll assume that depending on aperture and ISO the shutter speed (the only thing that matters when it comes to blur) was probably 1/250 to 1/1000. So that means the shutter was open for somewhere between 1/250th of a second all the way down to 1/1000th of a second. What a 5.56mm velocity? It depends. Lets say 3000fps, that's feet per second. However, we don't have the shutter open for a full second, we have a mere fraction of that. 1/250 = .004 1/1000 =.001 Proportionally, (assuming that the change of the speed of the bullet is constant and does not slow within the first 1/1000th of a second), we have. 1/3000 = .004/x 12' bullet travel at 1/250 shutter speed 1/3000 =.001/x 3' bullet travel at 1/1000 shutter speed If the shutter speed was half of 1/1000 (it would be 1/2000) you'd have roughly 1.5' of travel. That's approximately what you have in that photo, give or take a foot. So depending on the details, it is entirely possible that the bullet was captured. Newer cameras, depending on mechanical vs. electronic shutter, can shoot a constant 30fps. I think some of the Sony cameras can do maybe twice that with an electronic shutter. It's a sunny day, you have lots of sunlight available. Assuming a decently fast aperture or a heightened ISO, I could completely see myself shooting 1/500 to 1/2000 shutter speed. It's the ex-POTUS, so a press photographer likely "sprays and preys" with his camera in hopes of getting a moneymaker. With my photography background I'm going to claim it is entirely possible he did capture a bullet on that photo. I can setup a GoFundMe if you all want me to test it

I have a lot of photography experience and I've been thinking about that aspect of this. I'm going to look into it and see what I can determine.
