  1. You're welcome everyone! 4 more to anyone that wants them. Perhaps a comment or two (without revealing anything) from someone who has started it?
  2. BUT. I first found it on CNN and had to switch to Fox because CNN cut to commercial right in the middle on his speech.
  3. Unfortunately what the majority of people in the country will hear about the release is that there was a sign that said the NRA is killing our children. Then the majority of the country will go back to whatever it was that they were doing.
  4. Same size, practically the same gun, but the P-01 has a rail and I believe is a bit wider. Some holsters may work, others may not.
  5. If you don't mind spending money, I would go with High Noon Holsters.   http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/Belt_Holsters/Inside_The_Waistband/inside_the_waistband.html   I know that these aren't hybrid, but I have been very satisfied with them. I have carried my P-01 for a year now, and there is virtually no holster wear on the firearm. Holster is in great shape too.   I use the down under with straps, although I plan on getting one just like it with a clip to see how I like it.
  6. Useless while empty, aren't they? Also, the consensus is that storing them loaded (compression) doesn't wear them out, but rather that cycling them compressed and relaxed (using them) does.   There is also a lot of anecdotal evidence of "My grandfather left such and such mag loaded for 40 years and when he died I fired it and it worked fine!".
  7. Synchronicity   The experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, yet are experienced as occurring together in a meaningful manner.   Coincidence vs Conspiracy   Sandy Hook & The Dark Knight Rises   Kennedy & Lincoln   You all are smart folks. Talk!
  8. Of the following sights for a carry piece, what would you buy and why?   http://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=GL101O   http://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=GL11   http://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=GL01
  9. Well, not that I disagree with you, but simply bringing in the fact that two states recently legalized recreational marijuana. So far the feds haven't really reacted, but that doesn't mean that they won't. Find a state like Arizona, Alaska, or Texas, and I wouldn't be surprised if one of them did try to nullify.
  10. Looks like a shotgun to me. Semi auto.
  11.   The understanding of physics does change though.
  12. For OWB, I'd probably go with something like that. Although I have never tried, I imagine kydex wouldn't be as comfortable IWB as leather. However, I understand that this is probably where hybrid holsters come in. I bought the Hidden Impact.   http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/Hidden_Impact/hidden_impact.html
  13. Some call it the flicker effect, others call it doublethink. Same thing really.
  14. A quality, molded leather holster from High Noon shouldn't give me any concern for the light safe action trigger pull should it?
  15.   In other words, if you were to keep a loaded firearm in your car and used it to defend yourself in a "clean" shooting, you will not be prosecuted for the weapon violation. This is in TN. I believe this applies to schools and other places to. So for example, if you were breaking the law by carrying on school grounds but used that gun to stop a mass murderer, you would be protected from the state.    That is my understanding.   My advice? Get a permit.
  16. I'll bump this thread once every evening until they are all gone. Hope you all enjoy!
  17.   I know right? I'm keeping my CZ for sure, it is a great shooter.
  18. 5 left to anyone that wants them!
  19. Well, this is something I have thought about. I try to purchase American made stuff when it comes to gear/lights/etc, but in terns of handguns in a sense I am interested in a lot of them. I will take a look at SW for sure. Just as good as Glock most people say?
  20. I will look at all of them, that is for sure. I am hoping that due to AR's being the main buying panic right now, the local shops still have some handguns today. Magazine availability is probably my 2nd concern, I would like spare magazines to be had for $20 each (normally, I understand they may be hard to find right now).
  21. Glock Lovers,   I am interested in purchasing a much simpler firearm (in terms of parts) than a CZ-75. I love them, but there are so many parts. I am interested in purchasing a Glock 19 (if I can find one locally). To me, I am curious about the Gen 3 vs Gen 4 comparisons. Weren't the Gen 4's known for reliability issues? Has that been fixed now? Please Glockers, help me to appreciate these guns. I plan on taking a look at a shop or two at 5:00.
  22. Me too. This is why I am also in the market for a much simpler firearm. Creating a new thread to gain more attention to Glocks.
  23. Looks like there are 6 more!
  24. I'll admit, Dhar is not King. However, if you like zombies, you will like this book I feel. Don't expect book of the year or the like. However, I enjoyed it so much because of the message of freedom vs bondage. Alice in Deadland is the cheapest, there is a sequel and then (lastly written) a prequel. I have not read the prequel yet but will. I look forward to discussions about the book here.
