1. Well..some bundles seem to be bouncing around on price.
2. Well, a few of the people on MacRumors were right:( Some of the pricing did appear to be "wrong". Harry Potter is now $59.99. Some of the others are still at $9.99, and a lot of good deals regardless.
3. Going to give A++ +1 100% Would Purchase Again suggestions for the Surefire X300 Ultra. I too agree that you cannot have to much light for a weapon light. Once you hit it, your night vision is gone (unless you figure on training to close one eye when you use the light, then switch eyes once the light is off). Thus, you'll want as much light as you can have so that once you switch it on, you can see what you need. The other guy isn't going to be able to see a thing looking at you. I used to thing a strobe would be nice, but then testing my (unmounted from gun) X300 Ultra in the dark I decided that a strobe might not be necessary when you are looking at a theoretical 500 lumens.   For ~$200, I don't think you can beat the X300 Ultra. It's on my carry gun when I carry it, I love it that much.
4. You beat me by two minutes. But my title was going to be "And you thought your HCP was bad?". Oh well. Maybe next time. EDIT: Just like to say that Sportsman's Supply in Hixson, TN was superb. Class was taught by CPD's Range Officer (I think it was the range officer, been over a year and I forget). He was a great instructor.
5. Just a quick acknowledgment, quite a few of the iTunes Movie Bundles are on sale. Now, I don't want this to turn into a debate about iTunes vs BluRay, or iTunes vs Used DVD. I am simply letting you know that they are on sale more than I've ever seen most of these before. I admit, I pay more sometimes for some things on iTunes, but it is so nice it being in the iCloud and then being able to access it from my Apple TV/iOS Devices.   Notably:   Lord of the Rings Trilogy $10 Harry Potter (8 Films) $10 Matrix Trilogy $10 Lethal Weapon (4 Films) $10 Austin Powers (3 Films) $10   There are some others, but these are the ones that stuck out to me as being the best deals. Unfortunately I already had LOTR (purchased it on iTunes about a year ago for 500% what it is now). Purchased Harry Potter and The Matrix bundles. Thinking about Lethal Weapon, it's a good deal. I don't remember those movies (sorta "before my time") a bit, but I am interested in them. Austin Powers I'll probably pass on.   Back to the Future and Jurassic Park are borderline, I love those collections but don't understand how you can offer all 8 Harry Potter films for $10 but then charge $20 each for Back to the Future and the Jurassic Park bundles.   So what bundles are you buying, and why? Anything else I should purchase?
6. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/08/12/California-Set-To-Become-Strictest-Gun-Control-State-With-Ammunition-Registry?utm_source=contentsharing&utm_medium=linkexchange&utm_term=postion2&utm_content=California-Set-To-Become-Strictest-Gun-Control-State-With-Ammunition-Registry&utm_campaign=foxnews     And it looks like another bill or two is coming up tomorrow:
7.   You did horrible. These are $50 guns at best. Just because I am nice, I'll give you $100 for it just so you don't become discouraged or feel bad.   LOL   That's a pretty Enfield. I could be wrong, but I think $300 seems to be about what they go for, with some details that increase their value. Good find!
8. Darts? Like these guys? They must have been serious! Eggs? Sure. Rotten fruits/vegetables? Sure. Darts? Wow!
9. Until you realize that this will probably be included in "art studies" courses for years to come, classes of which most college studies programs require at least one of. How do you think this will cause Trayvon to be remembered?

11.     I have no interest right now in having a "home line" simply because I have never had one and always used my cell, however Ting offers this device:   https://ting.com/devices/buy/Sprint-Homephone-Connect   It'd be $6 additional on your monthly bill and the minutes would pull from your tier for your minutes. It seems interesting but there are many other options.   Thanks! I remember reading about this a few months ago. Honestly, I have been wanting to give PagePlus a try, but I cannot seem to get away from Ting because they honestly have some of the best customer service I have ever used. Every time I have tried to contact PagePlus, I've been on hold for 5-10 minutes. Ting's online interface is very simplex (means a lot to me). So although I have been interested in giving Republic Wireless a try, I would have a hard time switching from Ting. My ultimate solution would be once Ting updates with iPhone compatibility, that would be perfect for me. I have been thinking about getting a Verizon iPhone and porting it to PagePlus, but I haven't convinced myself to do so just yet.
12. Well, it will fit in there if I do not have my holster, but with my kydex IWB holster it sits about right where the furthest right side of the wallet would sit. Since it is the nylon/cotton blend instead of jean material, it offers no resistance against the kydex and allows the kydex to "takeup the space" of where the wallet would sit. Let me also note that I am carrying the Spec-Ops Brand T.H.E Wallet, and it is not small. I used to really like my T.H.E. Wallet, but I am thinking of replacing it soon with something like this: http://gearhungry.com/2013/07/slimfold-wallet-version-2.html Or any one of these: http://gearhungry.com/?s=wallet But once again, to simply answer your question, yes the wallet fits. But I'll have to carrying a bit counterclockwise moreso to get it to work. I generally carry at about 4:00-5:00 on the hip, but I think it'll work if I go about 3:00.
13.   Been using Ting for a couple of months now. Very satisfied. They ended up changing their billing system about a month ago so it's even more simplex now. Beforehand you had to "estimate" usage and then prepay for it. Then if you used more or less, they would "adjust" it on your next billing cycle. However, now they simply let you use they phone for a month, then bill you for usage. They just ended up charging my card today for usage, made me think to update this post. Having a $24.17 cell bill is nice. That is one reason I am looking for a Sprint Android phone. If it is Android and on Sprint, I can simply replace the "feature phone" I have with the Android phone. I can keep using 0 data and my bill will stay at $24.17. Anything under 100MB would be + $3. This would allow me to keep my cell bill cheap but also allow the phone to do smartphone things when on WiFi:)   I would once again recommend Ting 100%   $25 Off Coupon
14. Well, it is very  difficult for me to say. I have several pairs of 38-30 jeans. I have lost around 35lbs in the last 9 months or so. Now the 38's are too big. I didn't really think I was a 34-30 yet, so I ordered the 36-30's from LAPG. They fit me perfectly. I did get the ones with elastic in the waistband (not sure if I would have liked the others more, wish I would have ordered a pair of each initially then ordered a few more). The elastic waistband seems it would be more forgiving if you have pants larger than you need. Wearing them at work right now. My first thoughts:   Comfortable (+) Lightweight (+) Lots of Pockets (+) Very fairly priced (+) Noisy (-) Back pocket? Can a wallet fit in there? (-) I like them. Overall they may be confusing me a bit right now, because I am trying to figure out the most optimal way to stuff my pockets with stuff. It's probably a good thing I cannot put my wallet in my back pocket, it will probably be better for my back sitting at work. I have plans to probably purchase some sort of front pocket wallet or something. Also, been thinking of redoing my key chain and now is the perfect time. I don't know what I want yet but it has a nice D-ring in the front above one of the smaller pockets. Seems like it would be a good place for something of this sort:)
15. Got my LAPG Operator Pants in today. I like them, they have lots of pockets and stuff. However, one thing that I am learning to dislike about them is it seems when I sit down that my holster wants to slide with the pants a bit down my hip. Then when I stand up they are both lower than they should be. I purchased a High Noon Holsters gun belt a few years back but got skinnier so started wearing my Spec-Ops BDU belt. Well, the BDU belt works great with these pants, but compared to jeans, the BDU fabric doesn't seem to want to support a holster at all. Thus my BDU belt and LAPG BDU's seem to be a less than optimal setup for IWB carry.
16. My vote would be a CZ P-01. I had one, and it was great. Admittedly, I probably should not have gotten rid of it, but I never shot it because I loved it so much. I shot my Glock more, thus I sold the CZ and got another Glock so I could have standard magazines/accessories/etc.   But, you cannot go wrong with a CZ P-01. One thing I got rid of it for though was that holsters were a bit harder to find than for a Glock. HighNoonHolsters makes good holsters for  the CZ, but I wanted one with room for a flashlight. Those are a dime a dozen when you have a Glock.
17. We've seen something like this with the little stove that also charges, but this is a device built specifically to charge USB things. For someone that might plan on using solar to charge a Kindle/iPad/etc, this might be a great alternative (it'd work at night!). http://www.flamestower.com
18. Places like the UK, Japan, etc that have outlawed most all firearms haven't really surprised me. What have surprised me are the lengths Australia has went in barring firearm ownership. It's Australia! The home of the outback and guys who run around with knives! (I had to figure out some way for an allusion to the best scene ever in Crocodile Dundee)
19. A few emails back and forth between our "insurance guy", and I figured out that office visits are indeed "outside" of the deductible. In my above example, I should have paid $19. Although I don't believe it is any form of HSA, my employer will provide up to $500 to the deductible if you go over $2000, in essence making the employee (but not family) deductible $500 less. I just don't think it rolls over. Overall I guess it is very good insurance, but it is very confusing. Also, quoting our "insurance guy", BCBS has their system setup incorrectly right now that is causing others to experience the same probably that I am seeing. Once it is fixed, an office visit should automatically be 20% of the negotiated amount, without any haggling with receptionists:)
20.   Should have elected him rather than the white guy at 1:08. Just saying...
21. When I arrived at work this morning, I checked the insurance packet that we received (the above link is something we received via email before the meeting). This packet we have does list the deductible and annual out-of-pocket maximum as being the same in-network, but it also shows under "office visits" that they are covered 80% no deductible. This should mean that it is 20% coinsurance for an office visit, regardless of how much you have spent that year, right? You deducible and a-o-o-p-m are different when you look at outside network coverage.  Sound right? If this is the case, at least it is worth something. Hopefully the 20% coinsurance payment is also applicable to your maximum out of pocket amount as well.
22.   What frustrates me beyond belief is that we were (unless I just misunderstood it all completely) that we paid the coinsurance rate up to the maximum out of pocket, then we were responsible for nothing. The sad thing is that the plan we were on a just until July 31st was a decent plan with a $30 copay and decent deductibles. It just seems so *nonfunctioning and doesn't even seem to make sense to me that your deductible and out of pocket maximum would be the same. I still don't see *exactly where the coinsurance would come into play.
23. Well...I linked to what I am going by in the OP; Here it is:   https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/120877/Policy.pdf
24.   So in my scenario, my deductible is $2,500 ($5,000 family) and the out-of-pocket-limit is the same. Is this essentially saying that I will pay 100% of office visits/surgeries up until that limit, and then what? I still don't see where the coinsurance comes in, because with the deductible and out-of-pocket-limit being the same, it doesn't make sense.
25. Recently at work our insurance changed from a "co-pay" system to "coinsurance". Well, frankly everything to do with health insurance confuses me more than a hippie at an NRA convention.   Long story short, I took my wife to a local doctor today. Nothing too serious, just wanted a diagnosis. However, this was the first time that we have "tested" the new insurance. My understanding (after leaving our insurance meeting), was that the coinsurance kicked in until you met the maximum out of pocket amount. For example, if the negotiated rate is $100 for an office visit, you'd be responsible for 20% of that. However, if you've met your maximum out of pocket amount, then you don't have to pay anything. That is what I understood.   I was billed $95 today and had to pay upfront because they checked my deductible and saw that I had not met it for this "year". She described to me that the coinsurance kicks in after you meet your deductible. Perhaps she is right, but this isn't at all what I understood after the initial insurance meeting at work. I just don't think this is the case.   Something that is confusing me here is the interchangeability of the words "deductible" and "maximum out of pocket". Are they the same? Are they different? How do they relate to each other if they are different?   I know this is a lot of stuff to know about, and ultimately I will be checking into it tomorrow as soon as I can. However, I would like some input from the fine folks here at TGO if you feel qualified to give some.   Here is the "policy" I suppose that we have: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/120877/Policy.pdf
