  I tried that one on at Walmart. It was very nice for a metal banded watch. However, I really wanted to give a lighter weighted watch a go, and I think the one I ordered is exactly that. However, it doesn't get here until tomorrow because a waited a few minutes too long last night:(

There isn't a single thing in my life that I'd give up for the "thrills" of any drug, however I've been very blessed and have a great job and family. However, there are so many people that have neither and narcotics are seen as the only way "out".

  This is something I thought about heavily. Obviously, some of the blame goes to the person that pulled the trigger. However, (advocate here) that may have very well been the very first firearm that person had ever touched in their life without any training or safety instructions ever. They say all the signs "guaranteeing" that all bones beyond that point were unloaded. Obviously, some of the blame goes to the vender (should have checked it). However, what about the officers whose job was to inspect and clear each firearm before "zipping" it? Sure, I get it. It gets very boring inspecting gun after gun for several hours. However, someone could have been killed. If it gets boring, they should have a system in which you rotate in and out, allowing officers to take breaks and allow a 'fresh brain" to process the firearms.   It is, admittedly, also possible that the firearm of interest (mores the person carrying it) entered into the room via the open bay day that vendors were using to bring all their stuff in that morning. It appeared to me that some vendors were simply going and taking handfuls of the zip ties from the officers, and then going back to their tables to do the clearing and securing themselves. It is entirely possible that the firearm of interest bypassed the official checkpoint altogether.   I just heard rumors and whatnot, but I don't know for sure how the firearm ended up on the table. I just think more should be done educating and warning gun show participants that the firearms may be loaded and to ask for help if needed. Someone who has never handled a firearm in their life may not see how a .22lr tube fed rifle feeds and assume that it cannot be loaded because there isn't a magazine sticking out below. 

  Exactly this. If what I'm buying accepts my Discover card, I use it. I'd use it for rent if possible. I have not paid a single penny in interest since I received the card roughly two years ago. I have, however, received hundreds in cashback benefits. With Discover, you can have it credited to your account as a payment, deposited as cash into your checking account, or you can use it instantly as Amazon credit to purchase things if your Discover card is on your Amazon account. There are also many options available for redeeming for giftcards, but most of the places you can redeem them for are places that generally markup their products, so I just use it as a credit to my balance. It works the same as a cash payout. In my budgeting program I record it as income in the form of  "Discover Cashback". If possible, I use my Discover card to make that purchase so I get cashback while spending cashback in reality.   Discover cashback generally varies from 1% to 10%-25% (at certain retailers at certain times of the year), and have a 5% revolving cashback category every yearly quarter. This quarter, it's 5% on online purchases! I've already made the $1500 online purchases, and thus maxed out that "category" to $75 cashback. Or I could have used my debit card and received $0.   I read an article yesterday that made me doubt whether I wanted Atomic/Solar. It suggested that it truly is a "chore" to keep it charged. I guess I could see that if you keep it under sleeves all day or something, but I figured it would be pretty low maintenance. What exactly do you consider "years" of owning it? (5+, 10+, etc)?   It also suggested that the atomic watch feature was annoying. I suppose it depends on where you live in relation to the Colorado transmitter, but it was suggesting you have to take the watch off each night, put it next to a window facing the transmitter with the steel backing facing it. I thought some of them claim to sync 4-6 times a day or something like that. Do you find yourself having to make a special plan in order to get it to sync up?

I always thought they looked neat. In Cleveland there is a tree on the greenway between 25th St. And 20th St. Ended up finding a nice "brain specimen" to bring home a few weeks ago just because. Ended up reading about them a bit. Read that they can be a skin irritant and thought "no big deal". Later that night I realized I had a chemical type burn on the hand I carried it with (mainly worked like a chemical peel. No big deal but lots of dead skin). Osage Oranges!   Very dense wood, was used for making bows a lot back in the day. You can take the fruit and (supposedly) use them as an insect repellant under the bed. 

Obviously it is up to each individual as to whether or not to obey signs, but I find it very ironic that most the "holy grails" (gun shows) of firearm events do not allow for lawful carry. With so many people boycotting restraints and the like that post, it's ironic that gun shows are so well supported in their current form. I think all OH Shoot was asking was whether or not someone that typically carries has a greater chance of a negligent discharge at a gun show. Remember that yesterday one of our members was in a sense an accomplice to a negligent discharge just yesterday. I cannot go through the entire gun show policing everyone, but those places are full of people completely ignoring 100% of all firearm rules. Saw a kid yesterday around age 10 "sniping" me with a nice scoped rifle. Was obviously just in awe of the scope and power he was holding, but had no respect for what he was holding. His fault? I say most of the responsibility rides on the fact his father was allowing it while standing right behind him. That gun could have been the one with a round in the chamber. I think it is naive for these establishments to promote a "gun free zone" saying "no loaded firearms or loose ammo. no exceptions". It makes the careless even more careless. Tell each and every customer that there are potentially loaded guns in there because they didn't really take the time to check anyone, tell vendors to quadruple check everything, and reiterate that everyone check their firearms upon handing off and taking hand of. In my opinion, that is better than create a very obviously false "unloaded gun" zone. Pretending that it works is just like pretending that gun free zones prevent robberies or mass shootings. Well...As stated I was there. It got me thinking. What if instead of posting all the signs saying "no loose ammo or loaded guns. No exceptions", they posted signs saying "lethal guns beyond this point. Please check that all firearms are unloaded upon handling at your own risk". I understand the desire of attempting to eliminate the handling/transfer of unloaded firearms. However, it seems to create a very large group of people (some of which may have never touched a firearm in their life), and tell them that all the firearms in that magical room are unloaded and safe. Pair that with someone who has never learned any firearm safety rules, and it eventually turns out like this. The allusion that all the guns are unloaded causes many to "forget" safety rules. I used to always wear a watch, got into the really heavy Fossil watches and stuff, and then quit altogether because I was always afraid of scratching them and my phone tells me what time it is.   Recently I decided to give watches a go again, but with a different take. Going for digital rather than automatic/analog. Probably pickup a G-Shock, never had one before. Mainly, I'm wondering about features, and which ones are worth it vs. gimmicky.   Atomic Clock (radio sync) Bluetooth 4.0 Compatibility Solar Charging Who knows what else I'm hoping for maybe a Black Friday deal on these somewhere, and will probably wait a few weeks to see, but am open to purchasing one on Amazon if a very specific model fits me best. I am really interested in the solar charging ones, but is it more of a gimmick or really functional? I like the idea of a watch that could go 10-20 years (or more, if possible) without a battery change. However, if they "charge by solar" for only a few years before the battery/capacitor needs replacing, it doesn't seem worth it to me and would rather get one that has other good features.   Atomic clock sync sounds neat to me and is probably just as interesting as solar, but does anyone know how the watches function if they do not have access to the radio waves? I assume that you can manually set the watch and it will function as normal without ever needing that sync signal?   If bluetooth is something I could get with the two above features, I would probably be up for it. But has anyone an idea how well it actually works with an iPhone 4s?   Give me all the input you can, and links to any specific models you think would be good for me.

If more than one of us has had that problem, perhaps it is something lacking on their end. I'll be "that guy" that says I've been ordering things online for about 5 years now and have never had the first issue, thus someday I'll probably be "that guy" who's finances get screwed up because my credit card gets stolen.   It's ok. I don't see what is so confusing. 500 bags. Lets just conside one bag "the winner". Buy one bag, you have a 1/500 chance of winning. If you buy two, that's one chance of 1/500 winning, and then ANOTHER chance of 1/500 winning (roughly, close enough). Add those together, you have a 1/250 chance of winning.   Lets pretend instead you purchased half the bags. Wouldn't most agree you have a 250/500 or 1/2 chance of winning? Purchase 2/500 bags, that's the equivalent of 1/250 chance of winning.   Now, lets consider those 5 items from the photo "winners. Assuming each prize goes into  separate bag, that's 5 winners out of 500 bags. The chance that your bag is one of those is 1%, or 1/100. Purchase two bags and your chances are (roughly again) doubled so that you have a 2% chance of winning, or 1/50.   The wording suggests that there may be a few Streamlights weapon lights, a few higher end flashlights, a few multitools, and possibly more than that. If they are holding true to what they say, your odds are much better than something like lottery tickets, etc. If you "lose", at least you end up with something.
