1. Wow. Missed his original post. I texted him, and I quote: "Actually headed in to see the doc here in a bout 5 minutes to get this figured out hopefully. At the least something to fix my left arm". That was at 12:15.
2. I've always been a Surefire junkie myself.   Surefire G2   Surefire E1B (sadly, I lost this one a year ago)   Surefire E2DL   Surefire Saint Maximus   Surefire X300 Ultra   The E1B was my favorite for EDC. The E2DL is a great, great light, but fits funny in the pocket and it a bit long. I am considering a purchase. Honestly, I'm considering Streamlight, but Surefire has never let me down.   I am trying to decide between:   Streamlight PT-2L (260/13 lumens, includes strobe) $47.05   Streamlight PT-1L (110/12 lumens, includes strobe) $41.37   Surefire EB1 (200/5 lumens) $154   Now, I've always wanted a strobe feature on a EDC light, but Surefire has yet to implement that into any of their cheaper lights for EDC. However, Surefire quality is very well and it is "Made in USA" (who knows exactly what that means). Streamlight is, to the best of the knowledge, made in China. However, lots of cops swear by them. Honestly, I'm leaning towards the PT-2L, but I like the clip design on the EB1 better. The thing about the E1B I had...it just sat in your pocket so nicely.   Any input anyone? I could buy the  PT-2L and the PT-1L and still come out $50 ahead compared to the Surefire. But what about build quality?
3. That moment when you are stretched out on the couch and you have to feel your side to see if you are still carrying because it is so comfortable an you don't remember 100% if you have taken it off. +1 for Raven Concealment Phantom Light Carrier WooHoo! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. Interesting that this is an issue because it appears that he did a lawful transfer on the sale. If this does turn out to be a huge ordeal, then what does that do to the many people who purchase a firearm as a gift to someone lawfully able to own a firearm? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. Well, it depends on your "uses" for a Mac. If you are into web design, Flux 4 is interesting and worth spending a few hours messing around with. To me, everything else was just a bonus. Sales like this are very, very, very economical.
6. Typically send out a free one with any order from LaRue Tactical.
7. Mine started at a young age.
8. For those that have never seen the "pay what you want" bundles such as the Humble Bundle, they typically work like this. You pay whatever you want, and get tens or even hundreds of dollars worth of software for pennies on the dollar! https://stacksocial.com/sales/the-name-your-own-price-mac-bundle-4-0-ft-snagit-flux-4 This bundle is calculated to be worth $412. I've used Flux 4 before. I never bought it because I've been waiting for a "pay what you want sale on it". It usually costs $140. I had seen it in a bundle before, so I figured I'd chance it and turns out, I was right! In order to get all of the apps, you have to beat the average price. I paid $6.46 for all of the apps! Totally worth it for one app alone if you have a Mac. Snagit, Flux 4, Jump, Boom, and Chronicle 5 are each in of themselves worth purchasing the entire bundle before. I have no experience with any of the others...yet;) $50 Snagit For Mac $140 Flux 4 $30 Jump Desktop $50 MacX Video Converter Pro $30 Tunes Cleaner $7 Boom For Mac $50 Mariner Write $20 CameraBag 2 $15 Chronicle 5 $20 Folx Pro $49 Elite Keylogger Pro

New pistol

Hahaha. I think he was insinuating that stopping at two is highly unlikely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10. http://www.thefrugalshooter.com/2013/11/05/ares-gear-ranger-belt/   Plenty comfortable. Makes carrying a firearm as comfortable as possible in my opinion. Great company, USA made.   More options straight from the manufacturer:   http://aresgear.com   However, order from Larue and they give you free stuff:)   http://www.laruetactical.com/belts-0?sort=popular
11. Any ammo over a box and and any number greater than two of the same category:   Rifles/Shotguns Pistols.   Example, you can have a pistol and a rifle and a corresponding box of ammo for each, but if you have a rifle and a shotgun that's a stockpile. Or if you have a pistol and two boxes, that's a stockpile. You can have a pistol and either a rifle or shotgun and a box for each and you are ok.   I don't write the rules.

13. Hopefully the free market will keep the internet as is, but a Federal Court supposedly struck down a 2010 ruling by the FCC.   http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2014/01/14/court-strikes-down-fccs-net-neutrality-rule/   For those unfamiliar, "net neutrality" is essentially the thought that you pay your provider (Comcast, Charter, etc) a set amount and can access any of the internet. Without it, they could theoretically charge $9.99 to let you access Youtube, $5 for "Blogs", $10 for "Forums", etc. Sorta like "channels" on TV. If it ever sets in that way, I suppose I'll just cancel it all.
14.   A Glock 7! Ooooh!
15. Here is my thought. I have no scientific proof, but this is just what I imagined in my head when I first read the story. Clint Eastwood makes a good Curtis. Profanity withheld at the expense of humor to keep it safe for all.
Curtis Reeves decided to go see a movie that day. At age 71, a trip to the movies was usually not worth it. $10 for a ticket and $15 for a drink and popcorn? He could remember the days you could watch a movie for a nickel and get all the free popcorn and Coke you wanted. Too bad he couldn't remember what he had for breakfast the day before, much less the day of. This was a special occasion though. He being a retired cop felt he was one of the good guys. Hey! Lone Survivor is about a real life Seal, he was a good guy. A good old American. They don't quite make them like that anymore. Now everyone's like that clown Marky Mark from the 90's that run around spewing anti-gun rhetoric yet stars in a movie about a Seal. Hypocrites! Curtis Reeves was an example of a good gun owner. Although he had retired almost 21 years ago, he still carried his trusty S&W J frame. Plastic in guns? Those are toys. Curtis would never own a firearm with an identity crisis such as a Glock. No, he wanted metal. And he wanted American!   So after he spent 20 minutes buying his ticket and finding a seat, he figured he would see what other forms of mindless entertainment he was missing. While he was sitting there, he kept getting distracted because the guy a few rows down kept pulling out his cell phone and lighting up the room. Cell phones. Why does everyone need a cell phone anyway? Curtis could remember the day when his family didn't even have a home phone. If you wanted to reach someone, you mailed a letter or walked down the street to see them. What is so important that someone has to be constantly texting about anyway? He had finally found a way to avoid his wife by going to the movie. Why would he want to text her? Finally, he was in a place he could relax for a few hours, and this idiot keeps on texting and lighting up the place like a flashbang in a gangbanger's den. At this point, Curtis had enough. It cost him $25 to get in there, and he sure wasn't going to have some young punk ruin it for it.   He got up and looked for a manager. Whatever happened to the ushers that would walk up and down the isles? They would have handled this. After walking around for a few minutes, not seeing a single employee but the nose-ring girl at the concession stand and the few guys selling tickets, he decided that he would handle it himself. He walked over to the guy and asked that he stop using his cell phone when the movie started. The young punk told him to mind his own business. Curtis went on to explain that he was a retired cop and how it was impolite to use a cell phone during a movie. At this time, the young punk said that he didn't care who Curtis was, but to mind his own business or he was going to make him. Curtis figured that, just for once, he would show someone his firearm in order to keep the situation peaceful. He was a retired cop after all, and that strategy worked quite often back in his day. So he did, a simple pull of the jacket and the punk would calm down.   He didn't. He threw popcorn onto Curtis and then started shoving him backward. Curtis, afraid for his life because the punk was twice his size but half his age, only knew of one thing to do. He drew and pulled the trigger.   //Honestly, I know that isn't the way it happened. However, I wrote that story for a few reasons   Anyone of us could get in that situation very easily. That being the situation where you are simply trying to do what you feel is right in a non-violent manner, but you make what seems to be a few minor mistakes and it ends very, very badly. You never know who is packing too and may be having a bad day, may be mentally unstable a bit, etc. Treat everyone with respect. You don't want to be the guy that gets shot because he told someone to mind their own business. Walk softly and carry a big stick. In my opinion, we must be 1000% more careful than the average Joe. I am not defending Curtis. He was obviously in the wrong with probably 99% certainty. We won't hear the other guy's story and I doubt anyone else picked up exactly what truly happened. But someone lost a life that day. Someone lost a Father. Someone else probably lost their freedom that day. Didn't even get to see Lone Survivor.   Tread lightly until given a reason not to.
16. Yeah but it's made of polymer...so the rounds won't rattle when you go stealth. Does anyone have a link to that thread on the internet where the guy was talking about them new "stealth bullets". They're painted black so you cannot see them! Maybe it's just me.
17. http://www.tfaonline.org/downloads/TFAmerchantcard.pdf These have been discussed, but the only link that I remember was for a different state. Figure I'll print off a few.
18. Yep, you read that right! http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/01/foghorn/ammo-review-pcp-polymer-308-winchester-ammunition/#more-286433 I had not idea they were doing this. I suppose it'd be ok in something such as a bolt-action rifle.
19.
I'd love to see TICS go away, or the NFA repealed, but that would have to be done at the federal level. If TICS went away, we would have to use the fed's NICS system, which sucks. Exempting HCP holders from a background check (either TICS or NICS) CAN be done purely at the state level.
NICS sucks? The TICS is essentially the exact same thing, we just pay $10 to have the state do it for us. I would gladly trade TICS for NICS. Saves us each $10 for each transfer/purchase. 20. Received a letter in the mail asking for renewal. Enclosed was a letter talking about Bloomberg's national push for gun control. The letter also speaks that the best defense may be a good offense. Just wondering if anyone else received it, and wha your thoughts were if you have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

22. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/01/13/my-soul-aches-dying-kalashnikov-felt-guilt-over-blood-spilled-by-ak-47/   Interesting read, Kalashnikov felt regret over designing his rifle.
23.   So basically the same interchangeability as a Glock for the M&P's. Good to know.
24. So, all these reading recently has gotten me quite intrigued by the M&P 9 pistols. For one, they are better looking than a Glock. However, the fact that they are USA made by a USA company means a lot to me as well. They are a tad cheaper than a Glock, although the cost difference is so small that it probably would not make or break a decision. I am quite curious about these guns, and have a few questions.   Between the 9mm models, are magazines interchangeable like they are for the Glocks (17/19/26)? I suppose the closest to a 19 is the M&P 9, and the closest to a 26 is the M&P 9c. It looks like the sizing for the M&P's might be a bit larger than their Glock counterparts. Correct? What about the Shield series? Do they retain any (if any) magazine interchangeability of the M&P 9's? Internally, are the M&P's on par with Glock on simplicity and ease of parts replacement? I'd want one with no safety and no magazine brake/safety. I'd also want two. One to replace my 19 and one to replace my 26.   So far, I see the following:   M&P 9 Pro's   Slightly larger magazine capacity (12+1 for the 9c and 17 +1 for the 9) Slightly cheaper USA Made/Owned   Glock Pro's   High capacity magazines (33 round) readily available with 100% magazine interchangeability. Longer track record. Slight upper-hand on accessories availability but probably moot at this point. Magazines seem more durable, but many people like the steel M&P magazines so is this even a point? Reliablity/Accuracy questions are hard to answer because everyone has a different opinion. Many online reviews put the S&W's as being more accurate and others put the Glocks as being more accurate. I figure ultimately I need to shoot one but really I just need to keep what I have. I want one or the other and not both, that's my decision;)   Feedback desired, and if someone in Cleveland wants to go shooting, just let me know;)
