These are some amazing skills
It looks like Glock does manufacture 9x21 for those countries that allow civilian ownership of handguns, but not in "military calibers", such as Italy. I may be off the mark, but that is my understanding. http://www.glockbooks.com/gun-digest-book-of-the-glock-review-patrick-sweeney-01.html
Makes sense. Prevent ownership of a military round 9x19 so fuel and allow the creation and ownership of a similar but slightly more powerful round. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
CZ9mm's Continual Reloading Thread
GlockSpock replied to GlockSpock's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Ok, so yesterday I shot exactly 50 more reloads. These would have been numbers 26-75. Every one of them worked flawlessly! I love my Glock even more and may love reloading as much as shooting. However, I want to ask some advice here. I am using the Lee Perfect Powder Measure and also tried the Pro Autodisk with adjustable charging bar. Is it just something that you have to "get good at" or is there something wrong here? Both of the measures are completely unreliable. I mean +- 2-3 grains. Not .2-.3 grains, 2 to 3 entire grains. I feel like it is because 700-X is a flake powder. I'd really like to try a really good ball powder for 9mm. Recommendations for this? I know finding stuff right now is tough but maybe I'll luck out. I threw the stuff up for sale or trade here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/79278-29lbs-imr-700-x-trade-for-other-9mm-powder/?p=1156251 Sometimes the Pro Autodisk would measure about 3 or 4 loads consistently, but then it would drop down to a charge under a grain for a few charges. I have been tapping each powder measure this way and that at all different steps, I just think I dislike the flake powder. -

I love my Glock. Is it bad that my label is an odd magenta color? Hahaha. Sucks for them but this isn't bad done by Glock but rather bad done by stupid Glock employees. I got worried before I read the description. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
But, why the rail?? I just don't understand having an "accessory" rail for a pistol marketed as a "concealed carry" pistol. Maybe for a "nightstand" pistol (such as the XD9 I have with a light attached), but that's about it.
My concealed carry pistol is a Glock 19 and it rides with a SureFire X300 Ultra everywhere it goes. For the next 12 hours, GearHog has SlideFire Stock's for $268.99. That's a saving a bit, but they'd have to be under $100 for me to try one.

I didn't hide it but bit I did lose it. I had a nice Jawbone Bluetooth headset. Ended up losing it and considered it lost for a few years. Ended up finding it eventually in a suit jacket that I wore to my cousins wedding the few years prior. Still worked but the battery would not stay charged long enough to actually use. Was such a good feeling though to put my hands in all the pockets and unexpectedly find it. WooHoo! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well it sorta made me think you might be on crack;)

WooHoo! Found a Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed (well, two of them) at an antique store. I paid ~$9 for both of them and gave one of them to a buddy. 1964 dated, it looks like this: http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/Gillette_Flare_Tip_Super_Speed

That would be "you're" instead of "your".
I'm going to have to give a safety razor a whirl. Though, if I'm being honest, while I HATE the cost of refills on my multi-bladed Gillette Fusion - I can run one for at least a month. I shave every morning, and I would wager that I've not changed a blade with less than 6 weeks on it in years. Maybe I have tough skin or a soft beard (I don't think either of these are true), but it takes me a good while to feel the need to change a blade. I don't know what I'd do if I felt like I had to change a Gillette blade every few shaves. I've never had suicidal thoughts, but thinking about the cost of that might push me towards the edge. I guess at the end of the day I'm just cheap.
Well it is hard to beat $0.10 to $.20 a blade. Use will depend upon factors of course but probably a week in many cases? Well, I used roughly 100 pack of Feathers and always ran it at 10. If I took my time I would not cut myself, but the flipside is that it never produced quite the perfect shave. But it wasn't as scary or bloodthirsty as many people make it out to me.

When my wife and I purchase a house someday what I would love to do is take some quality wood and make a "shelf" that has about 3/4" holes drilled all the way down it. Stain the wood to match the bathroom and then keep a set of my favorite razors on display out of the way. We will see someday what the Wife thinks about that idea...
-
By the way, here are my razors: (I know longer have the black handled tech)

I've thought about getting either it or the Vision, but I've read that the head is so bulky it prevents getting under the nose well. My 39c Slant gets here today. I suppose I'll give it a try. Sorta excited about it and also sorta scared about it (mainly that I'll regret paying $50 for it when you can pick up nice vintage razors for $5 typically at the right shop).
There are folks who swear that keeping a blade submerged in shallow container of various stuff between shaves prevents the minute rust that makes it dull more quickly. Usually mentioned: mineral oil, baby oil, olive oil, and alcohol. - OS
I thought that would work. My blade actually rusted in the highest proof alcohol I could find. I completely submerged it though so who knows? Would like to get some of that blue liquid barbers use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thankfully though a buddy of mine is a money tree supplier and I can get you another one on the cheap. I can get you one in seed form for under $500. A small sapling will generally run $899. Oh I believe you, I have just never personally seen steel cased 7.62 or .225/5.56 at any Walmart at attractive bulk prices competing with online sales. -

I have honestly never seen Walmart being the cheapest on steel cased stuff. Local Walmarts rarely have it and when they do it seems quite a bit more than online shipped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Thanks! I know that so many people love their Jeeps but wasn't sure how much life a well maintained one would be expected to have. I've already cringed at the thought of halving or worse my MPG. Had my first vehicle not been an SUV I probably would be fine with the Fusion, but I just find myself wanting an SUV so badly and the Jeeps have always intrigued me.
-
So I have been wanting a Jeep for a while, I just do not want to pay for new Jeep pricing. A coworker with whom I have no reason not to trust has a Jeep that he is potentially getting rid of because he is getting a Tundra. He was talking in the $4,500 range. This is what he sent me: 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 60th year anniversary edition V-8 4 WD 175,000 Miles 2" SkyJacker Lift Kit Thule Basket Roof Rack Cold Air Intake system BF Goodrich Mud Terrain Tires Two tone interior Wood Grain Rubicon Jeep Wheels Entire new suspension Entire new front end Serviced Regularly Tons of upgrades, you could sell the wheels and tires for $1500 Problems. Two Rust Spots, just needs some filler in them. Check Gauges Light comes on randomly. That's just a sensor, The person I bought it from, actually has a new sensor. When we talk I can tell you more, but in a nut shell, I wouldn't be afraid to get in this thing and go to California. It's a great vehicle I can tell you more when we talk. Just let me know after you talk to your bank and such.... KBB puts it at about $3,555 in "good" condition but they are failing to account for things like new suspension, front end, etc. Since this is a quite used vehicle if I try to go for it I will probably have my mechanic take a look at it even if it costs a bit. This would become my primary vehicle for to/from work and travel. I would want it to be reliable. We had talked about this in a previous post but if possible I will be getting rid of my 2012 Ford Fusion. If I could get rid of it for what it is worth (roughly $13,000), I could apply that extra money (I owe less on the vehicle) and come out practically debt free after I took some of my cash and put with the extra. That would eliminate a $230 debt payment a month for the Ford. I know gas will be more that what I'm paying now but $230 is a lot of gas and also can be a lot of repairs unless it is a money pit. I'd like to set that $230 asside for a few months to buildup a $2000 vehicle repair fund. Thoughts?

The Semogue 830 is a great boar brush. The consensus on Badger and Blade is that a quality boar brush beats a cheap badger brush. Semogue and Omega make good brushes. Personally I am interested in the Weber U.S. Made razors. They are solid stainless. Also we have "Above the Tie" razors made in TN, but they are generally $200-$300 for a stainless razor. Nobody gets hurt = funniest thing all month Somebody gets hurt = tragedy By the way, someone is claiming this is an eyewitness's photo: Supposedly the kids fell at around 15 feet but then the house turned into a kite.
