  1. I think their server is getting slammed over this. It opened for me, but then again I'm using FireFox:) Keep trying?   *It does take a few seconds to load though.

Why not?
  3. Yeah. I may "need" $500 cash for something but if you are willing to trade something worth $750 just because you want to, I may be willing to do that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I feel like one of us should pay to go to one of his seminars (someone that confronted him and he would recognize their name), and wear a sign with your TGO username. Then anytime a question is asked you start with "I am a member of tngunowners.com, that's t-n-gunowners.com. We discussed this certain aspect of what oh are talking about. Now, I am not advertising for anyone to join the free tngunowners.com, again that's t-n-gun owners.com, but would do you think about this side of the issue?" Or better yet keep mentioning vendor lawyers on here but in the same sentence make claim you are not even talking about any other lawyer at all. Take up an offering to send an obviously non advertising advertisement? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Story 1: Ricochet punctured my arm several inches Story 2: Left 1911 in Oven Too long and it burnt.
  6. First, let me state that this is a serious post. Thank you TGO for running a perfectly reasonable and wonderful forum. I used to hangout over at "The Firing Line" all the time before I found TGO. It is a very informative forum, but very, very strict. Well, I went there yesterday and ended up becoming frustrated over something and made the decision to stay "TGO Only". Now that all the seriousness is past, time to laugh! I used the username "LinuxHack3r". These are two both true stories that happened to me (when I was much younger of course). Ok, so it was actually only four years ago.
  7. I would like some Titegroup as well as Autocomp. In Cleveland. If you can hold some aside I will buy bullets and primers too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8.   I need some of this stuff. I've been wanting to try some of it since I've started reloading. Any advice for us Clevelanders?
  9. I recently had an individual via ArmsList offer me the following for my Gen 3 Glock 17 with 10, 17, and 33 round magazines w/ extended magazine release and Heinie Sights: New in box unfired Sig Sauer 1911 22lr with 1000 rounds ammo. What would you all do assuming you didn't need the Glock 17 and didn't care for the Sig 19911 .22lr? I'm only interested if it would end up being a trade that's in my favor.

  11.   Nobody ever said they are invincible, they just beat any other handgun out there;)
  12. And places such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq.
  13. Not true.   http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/billinfo/BillSummaryArchive.aspx?BillNumber=SB1771&ga=108   (1) This bill removes switchblade knives from the list of weapons that it is an offense for an individual to intentionally or knowingly possess, manufacture, transport, repair or sell;
  14. Also, take a moment or two to make sure that when you upload pictures of your $2,000 EBR or $2,500 Wilson Combat that you haven't accidentally included GPS coordinates for everyone to see exactly where you live. Thieves are getting (somewhat) smarter.

  17.   It is 100% true. How does GPS work? a minimum of three satellites send signals to your device. Based on the time that it takes for the signals to travel, you can triangulate a position. Throw up three WiFi routers in known locations in a store, and you can do the same. A WiFi router in corners A, B, and C of a store can figure out exactly where you are in the store. Heck, it'd be fairly accurate with only 1 or two routers. Since your phone typically responds to these types of SSID broadcasts, they have your MAC address. You are mostly correct about them not being able to specifically identify you via your MAC address, but what it does is allow them to observe patterns and behavior in the store. Perhaps they find out that someone that comes in and goes straight to the battery isle spends <2 minutes in the store, but also that a battery spender is 2400% more likely to pickup a bag of Cheetos so they now know to put Cheetos next to the batteries.   If you "cooperate" and join their network, install their app, and sign in, then they can really dive deep into patterns and the like. It's all marketing and behavior.   Personally, I'm not worried about statistics and behavior of this sort. Anyone that has ever operated a website understands how web traffic is tracked between sites with links and cookies. Tracking store shopping is just now hitting "primetime". It's the same premise of rewards programs (you didn't think they gave you 1% in rewards because they love you, did you?). Now they can just track in real time to see how long you stay in a certain area of the store, path traveled, etc.   Also, as posted above, it is now becoming a thing to send "real time coupons" to people when they are in a certain isle of the store.
  18.   iOS 8 offers Automatic MAC Address spoofing for this purpose. Now, if you connect to a network (like free public WiFi), this feature will not help you because at that point it stops spoofing addresses to the connected network.   http://www.theverge.com/2014/6/9/5792970/ios-8-strikes-an-unexpected-blow-against-location-tracking
  19.   Well, I understand the concern but I don't think it will be an issue. Although I will mention it though just to make 100% sure. I'm more interested in buying an external flash for general use, with the added benefit of being able to use it Thursday!
  20. Next Thursday I will be shooting a wedding for a friend. I'll be using my Canon T3i with primarily 50mm 1.4 lens. It is an indoor wedding and I am afraid of ambient light not being bright enough. I am considering purchasing an external flash, and it looks like the Speedlite 430EX II is quite well respected from all the sources I have looked at. I have never used an external flash before but would love to give it a try. Of course using such a flash means you can create very harsh shadows if used incorrectly. I'd primarily be using this flash for indoor settings/events and portraits. Should I go for it? Can you tell me much I need to know about bouncing a flash? My theory is to add to my gear as I slowly shoot events and photos for people that pay me. If my hobby eventually lets me buy professional equipment, then perhaps someday I can do it professionally!
