1. Did he temporarily "come back"? Ah...Nevermind. I figured it out;)
2. So I have played this before. It is really interesting. Instead of focusing on creating a game with impressive graphics they have created a unique and fun "tactical style" shooter.   Frozen Synapse (Phenomenal Turn Based Tactical Game)   What I love about it is how truly cross platform it is (Windows/Mac/Linux AND iOS/Android (tablets). You can then play between systems. I just purchased it for my iPad ($9.99), but I can play against any of the other OS's. It's multiplayer or single player.   I truly recommend that anyone that has it takes the few moments to watch the how-to videos. It can be incredibly frustrating but once you start understanding and winning, it becomes very addicting.   http://www.frozensynapse.com/   It shows up as being expensive but can be routinely caught on sale via Steam or HumbleBundle. However, might I suggest the tablet touchscreen interface is superb?
3.   Something I have realized from talking to non-gun people is that when the think about carrying a firearm they do not realize that you can buy nicer holsters.
4.   I don't think you have anything to worry about. I Am Not A Layer.   IANAL
5. A deal is generally a deal. That being said, it is up to you. Are you 100% sure it functioned correctly? If so, why not talk to the guy further, find out exactly what he is doing/not doing, and see if you can troubleshoot the issue.   Is it "not firing" or "not reliable"? Because there is a difference. If you know they guy and can trust him, them you may want to work something out until you are both satisfied. If you have no reason to trust him, do not disregard the possibility that he did something intentional/accidental that caused the gun not to work. Maybe he is hoping to swap his "nonworking model 1358" for your "working 1358" in hopes you don't realize it isn't actually the gun you sold him.
6.
That's not the point I'm trying to get across Mike. I get it just fine. The point I'm trying to get across is the thug busting through my back door doesn't need to have access to Body Armor. If you're a law biding citizen as you are, if you want it and can afford it...go for it. Make procedures that have to be followed to get it. Just anyone buying body armor off of ebay and through the mail is what needs banned. Dave
I agree 100% with you. Why don't we just go a step further and ban criminals from owning guns? Then body armor or not, they'll be harmless? Or a home run move and make breaking and entering/home invasions illegal!
7.   They are real. Not a Ponzi scheme. But you certainly would have to understand greater what they are. In many opinions (including mine), the time for getting rich off of them has long gone. I remember reading about them probably 6 years ago. Had I invested a measly $100 into them now I think I figured up that it would be worth ~million right now.   Now, that being said, there still technically could be a fatal flaw/bug in them that makes them worthless, or the government could decide to put an end to them and make them illegal.
8. By the way, full post is on Reddit.   So a while ago I had decided to treat myself and go to Burger King. I hadn't had the greatest of days and I had a headache coming on. It was a very long line and I was at the end of it waiting patiently. When behind me comes this woman yapping on her cellphone with a little monster of a child. This kid was out of control, screaming, punching his mother throwing around a gameboy whenever something didn't go right in the game. The mother didn't seem to pay any attention to him and his continued yelling of 'I want a Fucking PIE'. After about 5 minutes of the line with these people behind me, I had gone from a headache to a full on migraine, but nothing was going to stop me from getting those burgers. I calmly turn and ask her nicely if she can please calm or quiet her child down. Immediately she gets up in my face telling me I can't tell her nothing about raising her child and to mind my own business. I nod and turn around, shes still yelling at the back of my head when the child cries out again how he wants a pie, the mother consoles him, calling him sweety and ensuring they'll get pies for lunch because she loves him so much. Things immediately go back to the they were and I wait another 5 minutes before getting to the front of the line. It turns out it was so slow because they had 1 trainee on cash during the lunch hour rush. All I can think of is how the people behind me ruined my splurge and gave me this headache. I then decide to ruin their day. I order every pie they have left in addition to my burgers. Turned out to be 23 pies in total, I take my order and walk towards the exit. Moments later I hear the woman yelling, what do you mean you don't have any pies left, who bought them all? I turn around and see the cashier pointing me out with the woman shooting me a death glare. I stand there and pull out a pie and slowly start eating eat as I stare back at her. She starts running towards me but can't get to me because of other lineups in the food court. I turn and slowly walk away.   http://np.reddit.com/r/offmychest/comments/2cm5xt/am_i_a_bad_person_for_this/
9.   I'm pretty sure that when you are on your cell phone and your child is yelling explicit profanities behind someone in the line at McDonald's, the jerk isn't the one asking you to keep your child to behave.
10. Someone that supposedly works at FaceBook supposedly made comments:   http://thebull.cbslocal.com/2014/08/08/facebooks-response-to-my-privacy-concerns/
11. Now, I don't even use FaceBook because but I don't necessarily go along with the hype here. That is not to say that they aren't doing a lot of things against privacy, but:   Change the state of network connectivity (I could not really think of a reason for this unless it has something to do with identifying when the phone is on cellular vs WiFi [for features such as only send photos on WiFi])   Call phone numbers and send SMS messages (I don't even know 100% what the app is for but this probably is there so you can click the "Invite Friends to FaceBook Messenger" button and then it sends them a text message doing so)   Record audio, and take pictures and videos, at any time (This is there so within the Messenger app you can click the photo button to take a photo within the app and send it along)   Read your phone’s call log, including info about incoming and outgoing calls (Not 100%. Could be used to see who you call most in order to give you a "favorites/most contacted" list so you can quick contact those people without adding them all to the list manually.   Read your contact data, including who you call and email and how often (This is probably so that you can click a button titled "Find My Contacts on FaceBook". It would dig through your contact data and try to match that data with people on Facebook. Then it shows you a list of who you want to add as a friend.   Read personal profile information stored on your device (This probably isn't as scary as it sounds. This is probably the permission used to read/write data within it's own FaceBook directory.   Get a list of accounts known by the phone, or other apps you use (Sort of lost on this one.)   But yes, overall most of those permissions are widely and uniformly used against all apps on both (iOS and Android) mobile operating systems.         Now, unless I am completely misinformed, the funny thing is that at least on iOS, a lot of the things that writer is trying to stirrup are not even possible because each app is sort of its own "sandbox". Generally speaking, an app on iOS cannot, for example, go out and copy user data from other apps and then send it to home base.   Once again, I don't even use FaceBook for several completely different reasons. But I don't see this as "Facebook Crosses The Line" but rather "More of the Same". If you were to start digging into permissions for practically any app you would use, I bet an alarmist writer could write an article equally "frightening" or worse for most of them.
12.
I'd like to buy that guy a beer.
You could, but rumor has it that he has already bought all the beer too and is now in the process of buying all the .22lr.
13. Yeah. Quite funny but DEFINITELY NSFW.
14.
Holy crap that's funny as hell to listen to!
Do you see a link that I don't?
15.   2014-1972=42   2 * 4 = 8   Take the original 2 and the product of 2*4 (8), and you get 28!   This cannot be a coincidence!
16.   But if you take the 5 and the 9 and subtract a one from each you get 48. What is the square root of 4? 2!   You get a 2 and an 8, or 28!
17.       Yeah well, I'm 23. If you connect the semicircles in the 3 it would be an 8. Coincidence?
18.   So I've been wearing this watch daily since November and I love it even more. Since it was reasonably cheap, I don't take much care into what I "do" with it. I workout with it, swim with it, shower with it, dunk it in the sink to wash it, etc. I know some of those aren't advised (such as showering with it, the heat, humidity, and soap are supposedly more likely to cause condensation, leakage). So far it looks nearly like a new one. There is some very light scuffage on the resin part of the face. I must have brushed it against a brick wall or something. Other than that is looks great and works perfectly.   I find myself wanting to buy a lot of G-Shocks. But that sort of defeats the purpose of having a G-Shock, doesn't it? Supposedly Apple is coming out with an iWatch soon. I'm sure it will integrate quite well with iOS with notifications and the like. I'll be very tempted to get one but don't know if I could get used to not having my G-Shock.
19. For those that were talking about the float accessory, here is a nifty idea for those that do not wish to buy one:   http://lifehacker.com/turn-a-bottle-cap-into-a-cheap-diy-gopro-float-1616501564   My only addition would be to take some bright paint and paint the inside of the Coke bottle and let it dry. That way when it is in water the bright paint with show up easier but since it is on the inside it wouldn't wear off.   You could also attach something like this to/in the bottle to help you locate the GoPro if it ever floats downstream too quickly.   http://www.thetileapp.com/
20.   Three reasons. First, armadillos will eat carrion, which in the US is often roadkill. Animals that eat roadkill often become roadkill themselves, because they are on the road more often than other animals are. Second, armadillos are nocturnal. It is hard to see animals by the side of the road at night, so it is harder for motorists to avoid hitting them. Third, armadillos jump up in the air when they feel threatened. This often works to startle a predator, but against an automobile it doesn’t work; they just end up jumping right into the front or underside of the car, with disastrous results.   It hit your truck's undercarriage because it jumped!
21. http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2014/08/04/gunshot-detection-technology-fights-crime/   So this tech has been talked about for a while. Essentially, sensors placed around cities detect and triangulate where the shot came from. But really, this?   Oakland, Calif., has counted just under 2,000 gunshots this year alone, including 565 in January, all from the illegal use of a firearm within city limits. In South Bend, Ind., which installed ShotSpotter in January and so far has detected about 250 shots within a high-crime area of about 3 square miles, the technology has helped police determine when someone is shooting practice rounds with a high-powered firearm – which the police say is usually a precursor to a homicide.
22. What exactly? Someone kept hitting it with bots or something?
