  1. So the only "set" of kitchen knives that I've ever owned are the ridiculously cheap ones that we received as a wedding gift. They suck.   Just curious, where does Cutco place in regards to the above mentioned knives? I ask because back after high school graduation several buddies "got a job" selling knives for them. By "got a job" I mean they sold their knives to friends and family because that is sorta how their business model is; Take advantage of high school graduates and have them sell knives to their friends and family. Each of them made several grand a month for a few months then quit trying because everyone they knew had purchased as much as they were going to.   I was impressed by the knives but hated the sales tactics/business model.   I plan on getting a nice set of knives someday but I think a house comes first.
  2. Movie is based on One Shot, that's #9.
  3. But once he is 18 he can sign his name on the dotted line and he will get a free M4, Ka-Bar, and air travel! Because at that point he can make rational decisions.
  4. With the attached shell holder for an additional 5 shots.
  5. You mean ... Assault drum clip magazine bandoleer.
  6. So is this what that song was all about?
  7.   Nope. She was out in the lawn at 7:00 Saturday evening after working all day messing with it. She finished the whole front yard with it.
  8. So I was going to see my parents Saturday and there was a yard sale a few houses down. I spotted a push reel mower sitting there so I stopped by. Was asking $25 and I asked if he would take $10. Yep. Probably would have taken $5. Very satisfied with the purchase. We tried it out and like it so far. Will it replace my other mower? Probably not. But it will be nice to have and the wife thinks it is the most awesome yard sale purchase ever.
  9.   But does thou sleepeth at night?
  10.   They same way any of us sleep at night; They pretend that the "system" isn't as bad as it seems and will all be ok.

  12.   Out of curiosity, what sort of storage do you figure on using for the beans? Are they in pre-sealed bags or a bulk container? Any sources of material for reading?
  13.   You should have went in!   Every single time I *think I have met the most incoherent, rude, narcissistic employee out in the "world", I find someone to outdo the last person.
  14. Which reinforces that some things, perhaps, should be scanned and kept digitally before you need them.

  17.   Also, there are a lot of attention seeking people out there that would love the drama.
  18. Something I researched over the weekend was the use of infrared extenders.   It all started when I purchased the Xbox One Media Remote. I really like that little thing. It has backlit buttons and they turn on whenever the remote detects movement (such as when you pick it up). However, I went to "program it" and then quickly realized that you cannot program it to your TV. This was frustrating because one of the reasons I bought it was because it had volume buttons on it.   Instead of the old school "programming it" to your tv, it simply works with your Xbox One. Then you "program" your Xbox One to your tv. Now, if you have a Kinect you are good to go. The Kinect has a IR blaster on it that will talk to your tv.   That is how I ended up on infrared extenders. Last night I bought this 3 Eye Infrared Extender. The back of the Xbox One has 3.5mm output for an extender. What I'll do is plug that infrared extender into it and then run one of the "eyes" to each of my devices (Samsung TV, Apple TV, and then maybe something else someday). In settings for the Xbox One you basically input your model TV, Cable Box, Apple TV, etc. Then it will know which frequency to use for which device. The "eye" has a small sticky pad that allows you to stick it directly over wherever the IR receiver on a device is.   The end result that I will have?   When I turn on the Xbox, it will automatically send "On" to my TV. I will not have to mess with "inputs" on my TV anymore. When I turn the Xbox off, it will send "Off" to my TV. If I want to watch something on my Apple TV, I hit the "TV" button on the Xbox One in the menus. This will "pass-through" the HDMI from the Apple TV. Thus, it looks on the screen as if the Apple TV is hooked directly up. During the entire process, I only have to use the Xbox One Media Remote. The Xbox One is receiving the IR signal from the remote and then sending whatever necessary IR to the Apple TV. It would work the same if we had a cable box, but we do not.   It also supports hooking up an audio system and controlling it.   Just thought I would share because I knew it would do some of those things but I did not know to what extent. It's pretty sweet!
  19. Also, the controllers themselves now allow AA's to be used without keeping up with that silly AA adapter. Instead of buying their "Play and Charge Kit", what I am doing is simply using my rechargeable Eneloops. They literally are the best rechargeable AA's I've ever used, period, no questions asked.   AA Eneloops w/ Charger   2100 cycle life and can be stored on the shelf and will still have 70% of their charge after 5 years. Since that kit comes with 4 you will always have enough to play. Or you can be like me and wish to own several dozens worth of the batteries because of how awesome they are.   A few weeks ago Microsoft was giving away ANY $60 game with purchase of console. I purchased the Madden 15 bundle and received Destiny for free, all for $400. I sold Madden and Destiny on Ebay so ended up paying roughly $330 for the console and then used a $110 gift card from trading in my 360. Best Buy will give you $110 if you have a 250GB 360.   I'm waiting for this;
  20. Xbox One Advanced Warfighter Bundle   Not only do you get Advanced Warfighter, you also get a 1TB hard drive instead of the typical 500GB. It's $100 more, but I think it's worth it.
  21. http://watchabc.go.com/activate All I want to do is watch ABC on my Apple TV. If you will complete the setup on the page shown above, it will work. My activation code is This will not cost you anything (I think). I will not have access to your email or password. It is essentially linking the ABC app on my Apple TV to work with your account. The provider has to be shown on one of the accounts listed. If you do it and it works, post here so others will not try.
  22. Ah man. I thought you meant something like this:
  23. So what I did the other day was purchase about a lb of jalapenos and then assorted habenero and chile peppers from Publix. Took some apple cider vinegar, added a bit of water and sugar, and warmed it slightly. Sliced the pepper and threw them in. After a few days I had a delicious jar of hot sliced peppers that I pretty much ate with every meal I had. They are much tangier than what you would buy at the store, which I like. They add a tang/spice to your meal that I just cannot get enough of.
