  1. WOW! I've never seen a form like that before. Since it came from this board (http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8), I guess I should have seen it.
  2. The LED display certainly was a big improvement over the Nixie tube.
  3. Fill in the ditch (floods are natural) and the shrubs will be better without flaying them with a plastic cord.
  4. What in hell is trimming? I have an electric and a gasoline weedeater. I think they are both too rusted to use..
  5. As I recall, you can get with either a mag safety or not.
  6. Bought one at Target in Chattanooga with the memory upgrade. That was long after the Atari 800. Sex was long before that.
  7. After I decided to go into the PC world, I decided to bypass the 16 bit microprocessors and go straight to the 32 bit, So I bought a Gateway 386-20 with 4 Meg RAM and a huge 80 Meg hard drive! Instructions to assemble it were on a floppy? Think about it.
  8. Ding, Ding, Ding! We have a winner. Yes fire control used paper tape quite a bit.
  9. Well congratulation on the new handgun. Give us a range report!
  10. One of my absolutely favorite songs. Brings back so many pleasant memories in music and in person.... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaHYvkjH_QY[/ame]
  11. Actually, I don't know how it works either. I just float along and stuff out of my control is - well - out of my control. I've learned to live with stuff like that. Oriental philosophy is good for that stuff.
  12. In all honesty, if someone asked me for an ID or to sign a bill of sale for a personal purchase I'd tell them to get lost. Well, I'd actually say something else.... That's not the way guys do it.
  13. I met Mike before I met Mike. He bought a gun in my area and I heard about him because of this matter. That gun shop is no more and I miss it. I've met him since in person. I'd arrest his ass too. Just kidding. Like me, he's a much nicer guy in person.
  14. I used to punch my own programming cards for my FORTRAN 4 course at UT. Used to write my girlfriend that way too. I'd punch the cards and do a printout. Sent her the cards and printout. Geek kids do goofy things. Anyone remember paper tape programming? Heath-Zenith sold those things for ever.
  15. Well, of course I know you were talking about cassette tape - Puppy. I went upscale on the modem Novation Smartcat (1200 BPS). I had a Compu$erve account - 75216,1247. That's when "Marswolf" was born. I needed a password, so I combined two nicknames. The Smartcat script language wasn't compatible with anything else. That limited my applications to ones that could be changed to accomodate my modem. Would connect at 300 baud, do my searches, then disconnect & reconnect to do the downloads at 1200 baud. Know the difference between baud and bps? Yeah, you probably do.
  16. Probably just to PO people who juvenilly use Rabbi's avatar. Probably just an automatic board action related to Rabbi's banning.
  17. Hey now yourself.... I have the tape drive for storage. Paid $500 in 198? for an 89K Atari floppy drive that I modified to copy protected software. I distributed pirated software all over TVA. Moved up to an Indus drive and changed out the board to let me run CP/M with it. Had WordStar that would run that way in only 16K of RAM. Also had a laptop - TRS 100. It also ended up with both a tape and disc drive. POS. Puppy........
  18. My favorite mouse of all time was a Logitec. This was a long time ago and mouse wheels, etc., were un-thought of. What I like about it was that it was.......small. I have one about the same size for use on the laptop when I can't stand the touchpad any more. But it also is missing the features involving the mouse wheel that I've grown used to. BTW, I still have a ball controller and touchpad for the Atari 800, if anyone needs one. You people are just puppies........
  19. Pretty much everyone I know who has a CP (not CCP) carried illegally anyway, or really thought about doing so.... No, there should be no "permit" program. Protecting yourself is indeed a right and no government has a "right" to deprive you of doing so. Having said that, it's worth a couple of hundred bucks to me to not be hassled or have to bed down with Bubba.
  20. I mowed half of my lawn on July 4th before the rain hit. Today I got the rest of it. Finally dried enough. Of course after the rain, the part I mowed on the 4th now needs mowing again. I took a look and decided to hell with it. If it's dry next week, I'll do the whole thing and get it back to even. I'm beginning to like drought. We are only in "severe" drought right now but I'm hoping for "exceptional" with my creek drying up again like last year. Drought linky: http://drought.unl.edu/dm/monitor.html
  21. I tried to trade my wife off for a gun, but couldn't find any takers.
  22. As I said in last year's post, check with the transfer agent before using them.
  23. We had a related thread about a year ago. As I said then in http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18895&postcount=17
  24. Yeah, and employees will be able to carry their guns in restaurants just across the state line.
