I saw some G1 MilPros sold at auction with a description that I inferred to indicate had been repaired. So, I wonder if a repair was developed since hipower returned his. I returned a 24/7 in late January, and I received a letter indicating they have received it. When I try to check their website for a status, I get a message saying my sn and/or zip code was invalid. I really don't want a MilPro, but I'd have enough issues with mine (and the trigger pull was VERY long) so I decided to return it. I feel like I'm playing "Let's Make a Deal". I'll take door #2, please.

I saw the shotgun at the beginning. I wasn't counting shots, so I did not realize her gun was empty by the time the robber reappears and confronts the mother. Glad it ended fairly well.

I have not seen any of the interviews with the victims, but I wonder if the mother did not feel justified in shooting him when he was "unarmed". Was that addressed in any of the interviews they gave?

When I forwarded it to the origin domain (with a CC to Bud's) the attachment was flagged as a trojan, so they only got the email itself. When I forwarded it to my ISP as an attachment, my anti virus did not seem to scan the attachment of the attached email. So, my ISP might have gotten the attachment. I don't expect to hear anything interesting from them, though. The actual origin seemed to be the domain in the reply to address (which seems to be an educational institution in Kansas). In my experience that is unusual. The spammers and scammers often forge a different from/reply to address than the real origin. Now the real question is if someone stole Bud's customer contact info. Thanks for the tips, but I already knew better. :-)

I got a suspicious email the other day that is allegedly from Bud's Gun Shop. The subject was "Offer from online store Budsgunshop!" It's allegedly from Helena Otoole <pfeiferk@tmp-m.org>. It has an attachment called Budsgunshop.doc which I suspect contains malware. Here's the body of the message. Anyone else get something similar?

Glad you're back home and glad you quit smoking! And, I'll ditto the nice looking dog comment.

I have experience transferring an account from E*Trade to TD Waterhouse (before the Ameritrade merger), and it wasn't hard. The process was driven by the receiving broker (TD Waterhouse in my case).

I have accounts at TD Ameritrade and E*Trade. The main reason I have an E*Trade account is the Thomson Reuters research that is available through them. The last time I tried to deal their "customer service" I was quite disappointed, so any new money goes into TD Ameritrade. I have been pleased with TD Ameritrade customer service. They did for me what E*Trade refused to do. Besides having access to more research, having accounts at different brokers gives me access to more mutual funds because not every broker offers access to every fund. I also liked the idea of have multiple accounts back in the days when the online brokers weren't all that stable from an online service perspective. I think that's mostly a non-issue these days. I have not used the mobile app for either, so I cannot provide any insight there. If you have a particular mutual fund you want to buy, find out where it's offered and start narrowing the list from there.

As far as I know Global Training Academy & Indoor Shooting Range is there. I have not been there Rangemaster closed, but it looks like there have been Facebook posts about the current occupant.

When I saw the title, I was trying to recall which Kennedy was in prison.

I was there for a weekend about fourteen (14) months ago, and I was a little surprised by how many of orientals I saw. I'm used to seeing a lot of people from the Indian subcontinent, so maybe I'm somewhat desensitized (for lack of a better word) to them. While the Vietnam War memorial was more touching to me for personal reasons, the Korean War memorial was neat. I've been told it's even better at night. The two (2) things I hate I didn't have time to see were Arlington Cemetery and the Supreme Court.

You beat me to it. I clicked this thread expecting to post the potential swap scenario. It's a sobering thought.

So? Background checks are nearly useless?

Thanks. I was able to view it.

Could you provide a link? I looked around on heavy.com, but I couldn't find such a video. Thanks

Based on what was reported, it sounds like he was expecting trouble based on the incident the previous day. Perhaps he had it hidden in the bushes while he was outside.

It was definitely an interesting read. It's hard to know how to react.

PBS generally makes their shows available on their website for streaming. So check there if you later remember that you forgot to watch an episode over the air. http://pbs.org

20/20 did an interesting show on this ANTIFA vs the white supremacists. ANTIFA seems to be a mix of anarchists--who probably just need an excuse for a riot--and communists. I don't know if it was ABC's intention, but the white supremacists seemed slightly more reasonable. Maybe that's mainly because the anarchist they had on seemed very shallow. There are subtle differences my equation doesn't capture, but at their core the equation would be. fascism = communism + racism
