I shouldn't even get into this, because I'm the definition of overkill. I have 108 personal 30 round Colt AR mags, all loaded in ammo cans for "go" ammo, all with various types of ammo for certain situations. Thats not including pistol mags, or other gun mags. But then again.... I have more AR's then I can carry, and I feel like you can never have to many guns :)

I brought a case of mags to try and sell, but once I waited through that couple hundred in line (which was great listening to peoples convos... wow... haha) I didn't even want to bother going back to the truck to get the mags. Walked in, got my reloading supplies, walked out. Didnt even look at a single thing.

really like the rail!

Dont have a choice. Need to meet up with David to get some primers and powder. :( Not excited about being nut to butt in there

I'm lucky enough to have an entire bedroom dedicated to reloading/guns. So I kind of cheated with finding space. :)

Hydraulic Triangle. Wouldn't bother aiming anywhere else. -
I've had my 9mm MP5 for a while now, and decided its time for it to get a bigger brother. Today, I picked up my new Turner Fab MP5 in .40 S&W. Which I'm already considering converting to 10mm. It came with 8 factory HK mags and a BUNCH of extra internals and all the do-dads to keep it up and running for a long time to come. Couldn't be happier with it! Now, I just need to submit a stamp for it and it'll be complete!

I had to have a friend in Minnesota pick me up some because I cant find it here. Still everywhere at the same price there. Just got 5 boxes of Federal 555 packs for $100. Now... just to get it here to me....

been through handfuls of army issued boots. SUCK, every last one. blackhawk warrior wears are ok. fall apart fast. same with oakleys. Asolo Fugitives, best boots EVER. hands down. I'll never buy another boot. Battalion is issuing them, and holding up great from what I hear from friends. And mine have been with me for a couple rounds in Afghanistan and not even broke a stitch yet. worth the money.

Black powder shotgun, need help identifying.

I took it apart again today to get more pictures. Here is everything I have. I wont fire it, no worries there! Never even crossed my mind. I've got as far as the E/LG/* marking, but nothing better than that. usually they marked the barrels with diameter, but all I have is 18.2 and nothing I have found has that number. usually its .775 or something. nothing related to that number. Not sure if its actual gold inlay, no idea how to even tell. but the front sight does look like it could be bone or something close. All the markings I found I took pictures of and poster. there is NO other markings. The "JJD" might be the makers initials, but thats about my only guess on that. -

They went in a 400,000 order in 2006 to the army. Now they have another contract. They are USGI mags.

Can someone help me with this please? I have no idea where to even start with this. It's my father-in-laws. I'm here for christmas and was talking to him about it. He said it has been in the family for years and years, and just sits on top of his fire place. I'd like to try and get a date of when it was made roughly, and maybe identify some markings. He's super interested in finding out some history about it, but is far from gun savvy. The top here says "REAL TWIST"

I use a Monolithic Mega receiver set. Custom AR308 I put together a couple months ago. My good buddy uses a DPMS AR308 and swapped the barrel out to a SASS barrel from a 24" stainless or some long barrel that was ridiculously heavy and he loves it as well. I don't think he's shot with it much sense its been on his gun, but the weight saved now alone really makes him happy.

I'm waiting on a dillon conversion kit, but have everything else. Its killing me I cant load for it yet! i'll try 110 as well, because I also LOVE some good fireballs :D haha. Rather use a little more powder to get a cleaner burn than Unique and get it all gummed up. I use Unique in my 9mm MP5 loads and after a hand full of mags it gets nice and gummed up, doesn't stop running, but cleaning it is NO fun. You can tell in all my reloads that Unique is quite dirty and all sticky like. But I just cant get myself to switch away from it because I have so much around and load data all done up for all my calibers I use it in... 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP.

It's nice having a Kreiger barrel, ect ect name brand stuff thats super high end, but honestly, my DPMS SASS barrel does everything I want it to. And I got it for $209 NIB shipped. Why spend $400+ on a barrel thats going to do the same thing as a $200 barrel? Unless you want a longer barrel (20"+) I would get the SASS barrel. If I was going to get a 20" I would have gotten a Kreiger with 5R and 11.25 twist. The SASS barrel lovessssss 175gr ammo. I run 41.7gr of RL15 in mine with an OAL of 2.975 (so it fits in the mag) and a 2.005 COAL and Win LR primers with 175gr SMK's.... pretty close to a duplication of M118LR and my gun loves them. Trevorst is right, they can shoot .5 MOA. I've shoot mine to 550 yards with no problems with factory ammo. I'm all for the SASS barrel. Because you don't know what ammo your going to shoot, its slightly hard to say what twist to get. It really all depends what you shoot the most of, thats at least how I go about picking the right twist, based off what bullets I'll primarily shoot. Which is honestly only 1... haha so I have an easy choice.

what type of ammo will you be shooting? weight? ranges you plan on shooting at? do you reload? will you be using a comp/break, or can?

Sorry for the crappy pictures. Both are from my cell phone. -
So, I should be looking at two different loads? Makes perfect sense. Rather shoot lighter loads through the 329PD for sure. David, I need 15-20k primers from you next time I head to a gun show, I think I'll pick up some powder as well, maybe give a couple different powders a try. Do you absolutely need magnum primers in .44 loads?
-
I have a S&W 329PD and a Desert Eagle in .44, and just ordered 500 Berry's 240gr FP bullets. I have 4lbs of Unique powder left which I use for 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. I was hoping to stick to using that powder but am willing to use something different if someone has a solid load for a Desert Eagle in .44 Mag. I figured that would be the biggest hardship, getting the slide to cycle properly. All that being said, what do you guys have for pet loads for your .44 Mags? Just incase you wanted a little gun porn

David all the way.
