  1. Welcome to the korengal (yes, that's me, I was taking selfies because I thought the fog was cool, :) hah Back on topic. If anyone wants to see a clip taken from our 1st platoon guys who had the AO of the helo crash I can post it so you can get a small glimpse of what the village looked like. But be for warned.... It's a bunch of joes bored on a patrol being wise ass'. Ha
  2. Because there is nothing better than tried and true brotherhood.
  3. I was there in 07-08 with B co 3rd Platoon at Phoenix. Yeah, it sucked. But such is life. I'd rather deploy there again and be with my brothers than anything else though. Most of us all feel that way still. Not a big fan of telling people that I was there. So here's the one time I will. Ha. Hence the photo of Marcus' stuff we found there.... Little stats on that deployment: -42 Purple Hearts out of 140 ish people -70% of all air support in Iraq and Afghanistan combined was in our 3 mile valley during that time -We got in 470 TICs. (Exact number is a 1-2 off, forgot the exact number the TOC recorded)
  4. Got myself a AIM NiB BCG yesterday.... Probably build another AR once I get home From vacation now..
  5. They aren't anywhere that classy or awesome haha (obviously it's battalion rivalry here and they are still good, but they really were playing volleyball and made it in a paper we got. Was total crap when we were out suckin)
  6. Who were they attached to? Know the company? If it was that AO it was 2nd batt. 1st batt was off playing volleyball somewhere else (literally, it was in a paper....turds)
  7. Minneapolis. Spot on. I spent 24 years there before I moved down here a couple years ago
  8. Dolomite, what base were you at?
  9. I gave two neighbors that want to get more into shooting palmetto ar lowers I got on the Black Friday sale. Never gotten a gun for Xmas. But given them to many friends.
  10. David you got lucky with your 6.0. I was an unlucky guy with one. Injectors all went out, HPOP blew, ICP went out, everything within 6 months of owning it. Made it to 154k miles and that was it. Only thing I didn't do was blow my head gaskets. Put over 5k in parts in it within those 6 months. And first thing I did when I bought it was do an egr delete and put in the oil cooler. I have OCD about taking care of my stuff. But some of those 6.0 were just horrible. The later models did ok. But mine was a July 03 made. One of the first year crappy ones. And your right, the EPA totally screwed the life of the 6.0. It had potential. But what can ya do.... I heard the new 6.7 is just a tank though. I have a new 5.3l Chevy silverado ltz now and when it's a couple more years old and hits 100k I might change back over to a diesel. I really miss having one when I two my toys.
  11. After owing a 6.0 diesel I'll never buy ford again
  12. The maduce is the best. Because by god is it true.
  13. How are we the only ones to even talk In this thread? I know more people on here are mega fans!!!
  14. Mikes a great guy to sale the very least!
  15. I posted that on my Facebook a couple days ago. Realllly nice thing they did there
  16. 22... Wouldn't worry about it. But still wouldn't hurt to do it. All your doing is cleaning the shavings out of the barrel as the first few rounds go through it. Any imperfections are being shot out. Your cleaning marks and groves and making it less prone to scrapping stuff around in there. That's how I was taught and understand it. If someone wants to correct me go for it. I clean all my new barrels ever round for the first 5 rounds then once every 10 for the next 100 and call it a day. Easy as can be.

Well, now I know where the 3rd grip you got today went to :)
  19. Love me some mega. Done a handful of builds using their billet stuff. My MATEN is by far my favorite AR308 with their monolithic upper. Just did an ambi billet build using them as well. You sir, have good taste! Here's the one I just finished MATEN Nickel boron ambi set I did for a buddy. Ordered in dec 2011 got it in July 2012. But worth the wait.
  20. Holy smokes man. Talk about lucky!!! Think you'll ever sell it?
  21. Every single one of mine are full. Why? Nothing worth shooting is going to wait for you to sit there and load them before you have to use them. Keeping them stored loaded doesn't effect anything. I'm on 10 years now with some USGI mags, and I have no worry they will fail me. Found stuff much older in the army, and they worked just fine when we shot with them.
