  1. I dont use small base and my MATEN runs just fine. I just bump the shoulders and it runs flawlessly.
  2. It's a sad day when 50 BMG is cheaper to shoot than .22 LR
  3. Wow, your extremely lucky then. My corrections came back Jan and approve end of march and feb and approve early april
  4. I thought two weeks as well. Was more like 2 months. Sorry man...
  5. All solid points. Something the OP should really consider
  6. Osprey came back yesterday, so went to go get it 5 minutes after I got the phone call.   Pretty sure the pending date was Aug 19th, approved April 5th 2014
  7. Yes, it'll stop M855. M855 is a steel core round. Designed to penetrate armor more than M193. If it stops M855, it'll stop M193.
  8. Everyone's got their own opinions. Just get what works best for you.
  9. Definitely don't have coating at work. Haha with the coating yeah it's a great plate. No cons but weight really. I just prefer ceramic. Always liked them more. Just personal preference.
  10. See, that's where we have to dissagree. I'd rather have ceramic and never use steel. My work makes us use steel even though they know the effects of spall. We have tested them at the range. And no one wants them there. We have a connex full of ceramic yet can't use them. Anyways, just not a fan of steel. I'll take a lightweight 2lb ceramic over a heavy steel plate anyday. Although I get many people don't want to drop $800 on one light weight ceramic, let alone two when the cost of steel is super cheap and appealing.
  11. Tyrtactical.com has a big Sale going on now. Check them out. Unless you know a lot about steel plates and the pros and cons, and how to mitigate the cons, get ceramic plates.
  12. Whoa whoa whoa, not all of us have to stand still and reload.... Haha. You old timers..... :)
  13. I like to get all the roll pins that need hammering in first. Then just do the Knick Nacky stuff. Usually the stock last.
  14. I did get to shoot most of them. last 3 the chrono crapped out on me. I'm starting over from 44 and working to 45 within .2 variables. I'm still to slow. Might have to change powders, really dont want to.    I'll keep this updated as i get more solid info.
  15. Awesomeeeeeeee. Apparently it was giving people completed forms to fast. You know how the batfe is. Unless it's screwed up and super slow, they can't allow any different. :)
  16. I have a 1911 tac ops thats two years old. Already wore the recoil spring out. Granted I shoot it a LOT. a real LOT. I cant complain. $6 fix for a crap ton of more ammo. So be it. I'll take my Sig into a fight with me any day.
  17. greattttt………. just what we need. another shooting on a military installation.
  18.   Thats an obvious answer.    All I do is shoot. Works over rated
  19. Strong brass ejection, more like run for the hills! Even ducking below the shooting platform you got one 3 inches from my head 10 feet away. Hahah
  20. Thanks for the info. I got it from David a couple months back. I have some long range match powder (RL15) but not sure if I have enough to make 1,000. Need 1,000 at the least for the upcoming shool. So just sticking with the powder I have. I have a couple cans of IMR 4064 so I figured its such a close burn rate, and I've read people within .1. Grain of their AA4064 load I should be ok if I need a little more than 8lbs of it.
