  1. Have not had the chance to hunt with the AMAX yet, but I do use it for all my long range shooting. I LOVEEEEE the 178 AMAX. It's been nothing but amazing. Was shooting it 1400+ yards in New Mexico in June. I have heard great things about hunting with it as well. Seems to be just right at the 178gr level. The 208's I hear just create massive exit holes and drop stuff in its tracks. But, for 308 I wouldnt load the 208's really. Unless you have a super long chamber, and can load to almost 3" OAL, then its just not worth it. You're not getting the velocity out of it to really give it the power it deserves. If you loaded the 208's in 300 WM or WSM you'd be in heaven. Sorry, I'm rambling, been a long day, just know the 178's are flipping amazing at great distances. I've had a good amount of first hand experience with them.
  2. Anytime you need 338 done, you just let me know!
  3. Very smart concept. Hope it doesn't get banned there and people actually get to enjoy it.
  4. I'm looking for the same thing you are. 4 outside cameras, and was about to ask for suggestions as well. Glad you did too. I'm looking for all wireless though.
  5. Yesterday I was at Sams club in hendersonville and they didn't have what I was looking for, so my wife suggested we go to walmart because it was closer than target. So we go in, she's looking around for stuff that surely didn't interest me so I said I would be back in the camping section. On my way there I stop and look for .22 because I haven't seen any in forever... Well I found a stock pile of federal bulk 550 packs. I was able to score 4 of them. I really couldn't be happier. I have a couple .22's I won't shoot because I don't want to use the little stock I have left for them. So now, I can shoot all 2,200 rounds and be completely content. I think I'm more so excited because my neighbor has a 11 year old daughter that wants to learn to shoot and I said she can learn on my P22 if I ever find ammo. Well, now we can finally teach her! Was just a good day yesterday. On a side note. There was a guy that bought some behind us, brought it to his car and went back for more. Probablllly a skelper. Kinda irritated me. He knew what he was doing. Also, a guy was behind my wife in line and asked if she was getting any 9mm and she said no, I'm getting some .22. His eyes lit up and he said "hold my spot, I'm going to get my wife!" Haha. Was hilarious. He was more than happy they had some. There was 7-8 boxes and by the time we got ours, they were all gone. It's like the stars aligned and we finally got some. Probably won't see it for a long time agin, but so be it. I'm happy with what I have and figure it'll last me a while.
  6. I use mobile 1 in everything and still change the oil every 6k miles on the dot. None of this 10k mile stuff for me.
  7. I'm thinking of getting one myself soon. Would go nice on a mk18 I'm building.
  8. I've seen some Winchester brass with a mil crimp. You could have that issue.
  9. Do it yourself for cheaper. Napa gold filter and mobile 1. Costs me $25 in the civic to do it myself, and my last pickup was $30. Stick with synthetic if that's what you have always been using.
  10. Blink your left eye focusing with your right on what you want to. I'm left eye dominate and have the same issue because I shoot right handed. Blinking is fast, and it works. Everything I draw I have to blink my eye.
  11. Sometimes, you just have to "go" before you take a picture of a gun part in your bathroom….
  12. I just got 5 premium rifle builds kits and lowers from them. Glad I didn't go the blem route. They should be here today funny enough.
  13. Well, in that case, stick with the 30-06 and get more ammo. both use a 30 cal bullet, 30-06 just has a little more oomph to it. easier to consolidate calibers and not have to buy a bunch of different rounds to each gun.
  14. 300 WM for 600 and in…. just get a 308.
  15. I used to do it (every once in a while and not that often), realized how silly it was, and haven't in years and years of carrying done it again. I've only seen 1 person since I've lived in TN open carry. And that was also at Home Depot, and it was a woman with an XD about 3.5 years ago. Even in MN I never saw it.
  16. I used 240 FP plated bullets with 10.2gr unique in my desert eagle and 329pd. Soft shooting. Nothing crazy.
  17. I use a sling, but not to steady my rifle, but to throw my weapon to my side and transition to a secondary. more of a retention system than anything else.
  18. I use 4.5 in my 115gr Plated 9mm at 1020FPS.    Honestly, I cant see a reason why you'd have an issue using TG with coated bullets. I just did some research and there is a lot of people posting about successful combos shooting coated bullets with TG. Little smoke, but works fine. I'd say shoot away.
  19. He sounds like a…. not so smart man.   what caliber? more details the better.
  20. Mikes DTA shooting Corbon factory subsonic 338 Lapua through his Thunderbeast can. This thing was hands down one of the quietest guns I've ever heard.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcmhzNb-ZSE&feature=youtu.be   M118LR through the SAS covert can with 16" barrel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbMXsMVxZjo&feature=youtu.be
  21. Yeah, I'll upload some supersonic ammo videos right meow.
  22. Finally got around to uploading these videos which I said I would do in another thread. Sorry it took so long. Still waiting on a demo day for anyone that wants to try some cans. We have a local Hendersonville resident that offered to let us shoot on his land who also has a couple cans.      http://youtu.be/Ls5yoxd20Gw   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGAjMZZwcUc&feature=youtu.be
  23. Anyone feel free to PM me and we can set something up. I just let Dmark shoot my AI Covert suppressed the other day. He can attest to how nice the can is and how quiet the loads I made for it are. I'm going to be getting busy soon with a little Something something coming to the shooting community. So the sooner we do this the better.
