    Wal-Mart....wtf

Not to hi jack the thread or drift too far, but when filling out the form for a handgun purchase, why is a HCP not accepted as ID verification? Is it not just as good as a DL? Does the law require that a person buying a gun have a valid DL? Not just official proof of state residency such as a HCP? Just asking.
  2. Go figure. I feel you though. If she ain't happy, you ain't happy. It's all about self preservation.
  3. That seems like a great option to me. I've seen some great reviews on the 30D. I think she'd be happy with that one.
  4. They are all made upon ordering which is why Alan told me I was still waiting for mine after 1 week. It is a great holster for and a good price at around $34 shipped. I have 2 and really like them. The picture is in its own thread.
  5. At $35K, I'd say so. That would get me LOTS of guns.
  6. Yes, that is in addition to the 18-55 lens.
  7. Ok, forgive my ignorance. She said she could get an older model, the XS with a slightly smaller display than the 3" XSI display and 10 mp instead of 12 mp on the XSI, but it comes with a EF 75-300 4-5.6 lens. What does all that mean? I saw a picture of it, and that does look like a bigger lens, but a camera with less bells and whistles. Decisions, decisions...
  8. Wow. After looking at some of this stuff on the forums and such, she could sink more $ in photography than I will in guns. I guess this is one way for me to get more guns. If she gets something, I get something.
  9. My wife is wanting a better camera than what we have and so since I know little about them, I come to the TGO community for input as I would if I were spending that much money on a gun. I know some folks here are into photography and know alot more than I do. That being said, our price range is around $600. She's looking at this one. Any thoughts? Thanks, Shima Sam's Club - Canon EOS Rebel XSi 12.2MP Digital Camera
  10. How much did that one cost you warbird? 2 Ply? Details. Inquiring minds need to know. Thanks.
  11. Since I want a G34 range gun, I did a little research and IIRC all G34s come with the slide cut out that way for just a weight reduction. I could be wrong though. Sorry I misunderstood your first post. I did think it was funny that your name was Glockster and this G34 was your first Glock.
  12. Welcome to the darkside. Be warned, they multiply fast.

    Glock 27

G26 in a front right pocket Aholster. IWB 4:30 Crossbreed Supertuck with a belt. SmartCarry when wearing gym clothes w/ no belt. Getting a Galco Ankle Glove soon.
  14. The link doesn't work for me. What's the web address?
  15. The CW series are comparable to the Glock price range. The other series have match grade barrels, better sights, and polished finishes, ect... or so they claim. I'd like to have a PM9 as a BUG, but can't see spending that kind of money on a gun that I won't carry everyday.
  16. Congrats. That's part of the reason I stayed with Glock when I bought a sub as well. It all boils down to what you like and are comfortable and familiar with. Does your holster for the XDM not work for the sub? I guess the trigger guard is a little different shaped.
  17. I believe I'd have to just get them to refund my money if the replacement gives you problems. Just my .
  18. That's a beautiful 1911.
  19. The wife and I are going out there with some coworkers next weekend if the weather is good.
  20. LCR 38 Spl, not LCP .380 My J frame Smith is too snappy for my wife and it is probably less recoil than the LCR. I agree on the Kahr CW40 though. It seems like Kahr would be very snappy, but I've never shot one, so I honestly can't say.

    Toyota

My 2001 Toyota Avalon with about 150K miles is great. Aside from normal maint, I had to clean the idle air control valve and that's about all. It's been a great car. I couldn't be happier. No sticky throttle, power steering problems, brake problems, or anything.
  22. No, not at all. The point never touches me.
  23. My kydex pocket holster for my G26 came in the mail today from Aholster. Inside view. Outside view
  24. Where did the OP'er go? It's amazing that the 19 is over double the 23 in the poll. It's a great all around gun though. Range practice, competion shooting, and EDC.
  25. Everybody needs at least one nice 1911 in the safe. Get it already.
