Too many excess holes for me to think it could ever look good. I realize they are IWB holsters and not made to be seen, but I think they should at least be finished on one side and not look like Swiss cheese around the edge. It just looks cheap and unfinished IMO. That looks much more professionally made in my opinion. Or this... Or this... I'm also intrigued by the idea of trying a quality leather holster. We'll see.

This isn't a Glock vs anything thread. It's a what kind of ammo do you carry specifically in 40 S&W caliber thread. Thanks.
-
Its on my already started thread" stoeger, beretta or others". I have pics and everything. Go check it out. Thread drift over.

True enough. This is my new Benelli Supernova Tactical.

+1. That's what I carry IWB. I had a MTAC, but didn't care for it. The DeSantis Intruder I posted a thread about here not long ago looks good also. And last, but not least, there's the Kholster IWB holster. If you can get past how fugly they are, the price is definately right on them. These are all kydex and leather hybrid holsters. I tried a Galco all leather IWB but didn't like it. Popular consesus says to go with a hybrid unless you got lots of money for a nice leather rig.

I haven't ran into anything that my 3 Glocks wouldn't eat without hesitation. I usually target shoot with that Wolf steel case FMJ that I buy in bulk since I clean them after I shoot every time and don't reload. I carry Hornaday TAP in my 45 and DPX in my 9mm. Thats another great advantage to owning a Glock. They don't seem to be picky.

Well, I sold my Glock 30 and took the money straight to a LGS and got a great cash deal on a Benelli Supernova Tactical with the Comfort grip stock and ghost ring sights for $492 OTD. I can't wait to get out and warm it up. I'm fairly new to shotguns. I had an 870 Express briefly, but didn't shoot it much because I traded out of it fairly quickly. I need to go take a couple defensive shotgun courses with some of the TGO instructors. I'm really excited about it. It's one hot looking Italian. I'll get the pics on here tomorrow. I didnt see much in the owners manual about the recommended cleaning time frame or process. Do you clean them after every shooting, once in a while, or next to never? After all, it's a pump shotgun that will eject the old and chamber a new shell every time you pump it right? How often do you take the trigger group out for cleaning? Does it have to be cleaned with solvent and Benelli lube oil or is there something else? Maybe CLP and Aerokroil like I do my VEPR K 7.62x39? All input is appreciated. Thanks, Shima

I would fall in that small group as well. I like the stock Glock sight except for it's not a night sight. I can't stand 3 dots across. Don't know if I'm gonna be able to get used to it on my NEW BENELLI SUPERNOVA TACTICAL, but I'll try. I really like the XS Big Dot sights and think it's retarded that they don't make them for a M&P.

Joey, if you are in the Boro, go shoot at On Target. It's the closest to you. It's also cheaper than Gun City. As far as your distance, start small. Take baby steps. Start relatively close 10 ft if there's no challenge, run it out to 15 then 20 and so on. That'll help you build your skill and confidence(sp?), both of which are very important. Once the weather gets nice, you can go down Hwy 840 and shoot at the CH gun range in Spring Hill for $40 for the rest of the year. Don't get discouraged. Practice makes perfect or so they say. I'm far from perfect and I've been practicing for a while. Stay safe, stay with it, and you'll be fine.

The heart wants what the heart wants, reguardless of polls and majority opinion. Now, lets see some pics of the gun and the targets from the range review.
-
Looks like the OP went against the majority opinion and bought the 23. Congrats. Hope you enjoy it.
-
I like it. That looks good. And the price is right.

Is the Stoegar just basically a Beretta Shotgun with a different name? What are the pros and cons to them? I'm looking for options OTHER THAN the 870 and Mossberg? I'm also curious about the Benelli. Pros and cons to that one? I want to stay under $600. So what are my best options as far as quality and staying in my price range? I don't mind shopping for used. I'm in no big hurry, just studying my options? What are your experiences? Thanks.

Smith and Wesson Value Edition vs. other Smith and Wesson Semi-Autos
Shima replied to deafdogdief's topic in Handguns
Let's not turn this into another "Sigma vs Glock in my opinion" thread because that's not what the OP asked about. Lets stick with facts determining the quality and safety of the Sigma. Thanks. -
Ok, this thread is getting to be a little more than what is considered to be healthy and informative. I don't mind courteous debate, but the man said to not thread jack or drift, so I think we can call this a done topic.

It's a good gun if you're on a real tight budget.

Has anyone tried this holster or know anybody that has? It looks like a mixture of the things I like about both the Crossbreed and MTAC. It has the wide backing of the "combat cut" Crossbreed Supertuck and a kydex shell that looks more like the MTAC. I just don't like the fact that it appears to have kydex clips vs steel ones. I guess I could put my steel Crossbreed clips on it. The price is great and almost as low as those Kholsters. What do you think? BTW, it's $54.99 at Midway USA. The Sig is a sweet shooting gun with exception to the Mosquito. I shot a P226 yesterday at the range. While I like the trigger pull and the reset, I cannot imagine having to carry that heavy steel full sized service pistol around all day. It would constantly pull down on my pants since I have that disease, noassatall. But they do look and shoot great. A little on the pricey side though for a good one.
-
Locally, the best price they can be had for is about $560 OTD, but if you buy online and transfer to a local ffl, you can walk away with one for about $510 OTD.

Too bad Kentucky holsters are no longer in business.
-
Congrats. That size Glock is great for CCW. It wears good in the pocket or great IWB.

My opinion would be to stick to a single stack mag, traditional style 1911. 1911's arent meant to be double stack or JMB would have made them that way. I want a 1911 so I can say I have one. Everybody should have at least one right? Good luck with your search.
-
Apparently not at the one I went to because he asked for my DL after I handed him my HCP.
-
I hope it's a better gun than the Para P14-45 that I had or you're gonna regret it. Other than being unreliable, the grip was huge and didn't conceal well. I got $400 for mine and saw it had a $600 price tag when I went back to the LGS where I traded it.
-
You sure? I saw alot on google about a P13-45. I had a 14-45 and am glad I got rid of it. Beautiful gun, but unreliable as TN weather people or politicians. Hope you're not trading any of the guns from your sig line for it.
