    Subcompact 9MM

I'm sorry Rabbi, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet. What shop would you be at?

    Subcompact 9MM

I didn't say I didn't consider the Kel Tec subcompact. I said I do not consider buying another one. It is what I'd call subcompact, just not what I want.

    Subcompact 9MM

Ok, I got to ask, I'm shopping around for a subcompact 9MM. I've had a Keltech and don't even consider that one. (no offense to anyone who owns and loves theirs) I personally don't like'em. However, I'm looking at the Springfield XD 9 Sub, Glock 26, Kahr PM 9, and waiting on the Beretta PX4 Storm Sub. Anyone have an idea or opinion? I'M SURE YOU DO.
  4. I'd really like to go also, but need to know more for sure of the date. I have an all-day "appointment" with the good folks up at ASP in Joelton on the 12th. If the meetnshootneat is on the 5th, that will work great. If on the 12th, I'll look forward to meetin y'all next month.
  5. Hey luckyforward, I just bought a P345 and am going to go shoot it at the range this weekend. I bought about 200 rounds to shoot through it of different brands and loads. Some are hollow point and some fmj. I'll be able to tell you how mine does next week. They say some like certain ammo. We'll see.

    which one to get????

How often do y'all have TGO meet-n-shoots?
  7. Has anyone personally seen the little Beretta subcompact or does anyone have it? I think it would be perfect for my wife. It's small enough for her hands, small enough for purse consealment, 9mm is small enough recoil, and most important to her and very important to me also, it has a manual safety which it seems most subcompact semiautos do not have. In fact I think it is the only subcompact I've seen with a manual safety. Any of you gunshop guys got any input?
  8. I guess it's hard to beat mass production. That's why those Highnoon holsters cost so much.
  9. Can your friend do mods to an IWB Galco made for a Para14-45 to make it fit my new P345?
  10. I was wondering if anyone locally made holsters. I saw one guy fitting a Hawgleg for a holster he was making last time I was in GunCity. At the time, I didn't think anything of it, but lately I've been thinking it sure would be smart of someone to make them locally and sell them through the local shops on consignment or something.
  11. Why don't they issue a HCP at the DMV office like they do your driver's license? is it because of the background check and finger printing?
  12. I asked the same question and the reply I got made good sense. Leather or nylon for comfort and quality. Kydex for outdoors, hiking, hunting, jeepin, 4 wheelin, horseback riding, or anywhere your holster might get wet, as leather and nylon take longer to dry. Everybody has an opinion of what they like. I like the Bianchi Minimalist for concealment and comfort. My Uncle Mike generic nylon works well to protect the pistol riding between the seat and center console in my truck. Maybe I'll purchase a Fobus for durabilty outdoors. The sales guy at my local shop said they're like a woman's purse. You'll end up with 5 different holsters for the same gun depending on how you dress that day, what you're doing, where you're going, and so on. Heck, buy 'em all.
  13. Hello all. My name is Brian. I'm in Smyrna, TN. I just found your forum. I also just bought myself a new Ruger P345. I plan to go next weekend and get my CCW permit. I also have a Ruger SP-101 to maybe carry as a summertime carry or BUG. As I shoot and carry both weapons, I may not carry the 45 as I originally intended to. Everyone says personal preference is the main thing that matters. What feels good to you? I also own a Marlin 30-30 and Remington 742 Woodmaster 30-06. I used to be able to go deer hunting on a weekly basis in Alabama, but not in about 7 years. I've got lots of questions to run by the local gun owners for other people's opinions, so I look forward to posting with you all.
