  1. Please excuse my ignorance, but what is an AOW and a SBS?
  2. I've come into some of my late grandfathers things lately and among them are a couple of bayonets that I assume are off his rifle back during his time in the USMC or maybe a souvenir picked up on the battlefield. I am wondering if someone in the local midstate area is somewhat educated in those old bayonets that can tell me about them. As they are special to me for obvious reasons, I'm not interested in saleing them, I just want to know about them for conversational and display reasons. If anyone knows who to talk to, holler at me. Thanks.
  3. Can you extend any 870 magazine or any one except the express? What about the Mossberg? Can you extend the magazine on a 500 or 590? I want a high capacity 8+1 or 9+1 capacity shotgun for home defense. I'm not trying to start a Mossberg vs Remington thread, but these are questions I have. HELP!!! I also want one chambered for 3" not just 2.75" which one am I looking at? What about the Remington 11-87? Is that an expensive, but doable option? Input please. Thanks
  4. Yes, I do like it. It is comfortable to shoot. It's comfortable to the hand. I can't think of a better $10 spent.
  5. +1 for the Crossbreed Supertuck. Mine is suppose to be in the mail. I have heard it's very comfortable with the P345 I have. Also, the MTAC is not made for the P345. It's almost cheap enough to buy 2 Supertucks for what a MTAC and an additional kydex insert would cost. And, the Crossbreed has a lifetime warranty. If I like the one I got coming, I'll get another one for Christmas for my Kahr CW45.
  6. What about a Ruger mini 14? I looked at one today for $500. Is that way too much? Does anyone have an opinion of the mini 14 for what Tripledigitride and myself are looking for in a target shooting rifle? Or what about an SKS? I've already got 2 deer rifles. A Remington 742 30-06 and a marlin 30-30. But what's a fun and somewhat inexpensive target rifle?
  7. Are the days of picking up a SKS for under $200 gone for good? What about at gun and stuff shows? Does anybody know where one can be purchased reasonably in the local midstate area?
  8. I bought some today. I figured "what the hey?" It's $10. If I don't like it, I'll cut it off. I like the feel so far. I'll shoot this weekend and see how I like it with lots of rounds at the shootin' range.
  9. Does anyone on here use the Hogue Handall Jr grips on a Kahr? Do you like 'em? Do you have any pics of how it looks? Someone tried to sell me some regular sized ones today for my CW45, but I didn't like the fit and it looked like it would have required some cutting to make them fit correctly. I need some input. As always, I look to and value the popular opinion of my peers and fellow TN gun owners. Thanks.

    Kahr P9

Is that JUST buffing or some kind of hard chroming or plating?
  11. I like the 26th. Hope to see y'all there.
  12. Double post, sorry.
  13. Just wondering if anyone knows if the Kahr CW45 will fit every holster that says made for P45.
  14. Hey Glockguy, why did your cousin lock his safety anyway? I guess it could be a good feature if you have kids around.
  15. After about 125 rounds, I had a couple FTF, but I think it was due to the feed ramp being dirty because after a good cleaning, I didn't have the problem.
  16. I purchased one 2 weeks ago. I went out to the gun range and shot it this past weekend. I put about 150 rouds through it. I really like it. It feels great in the hand. It shot much better than the Para 14-45 that I did have. My accuracy wasn't that great, but it was consistant. That was probably more me than the gun. It has a VERY light trigger after the first shot. The guys on the Ruger forum tell me that it is very comfortable to wear all day with a Crossbreed Supertuck holster. It breaks down, cleans, and goes back together easy. So there. Now you know what I know, which is just my opinion mostly. Take it for what it's worth. Go shoot one. Decide for yourself.
  17. Any of you guys wear the Crossbreed Supertuck IWB holster? They come highly recommended to me. I just wondered. I need something very supportive for my big .45 and maybe my small .45 as well.
  18. How do you know its an RK show since it does not list this show on the RK Shows website event calender? Any ideas on the cost of admission? I noticed you can save a buck by printing out the website page if it is an RK show.

    Bersa

Oh no, the S&W CS45 is disontinued.

    Bersa

Forget the Bersa 45 UC. I just found the answer to my own question. It looks like the ultimate CCW hammer fired .45 auto is actually the CS45 made by none other than Smith & Wesson. I can't believe you guys didn't tell me about that one. You really let me down this time. Just kidding, but seriously, has anyone seen one in a Mid Tennessee shop lately? I wonder if the $50 rebate and 2 free mags apply to these guns like the Sigmas and M&Ps. Any ideas?
  21. There's a gun show scheduled at the Smyrna Expo center on Old Nashville Highway and Almaville Rd scheduled for late April weekend. They have VERY bright orange billboards advertising the day event.
  22. Is the gun show in Smyrna going to be a better show than the one in Nashville at the fair grounds? Does anyone know the cost of admission? I hope it will be a good one since it's right by my house. I'd like to go, but don't want to waste my money. If anybody is usually affiliated or knows anything about the show, holler back and inform me. Thanks

    Bersa

Has anyone had any experience with the .45 ACP Bersa Thunder?

    Bersa

What is the general consenus on the Bersa? I like a compact hammer fired gun, but can't afford a Sig. Any input or ideas?
