  1. Me and my wife Stephanie (Mrs Shima on the forum) at my 33rd birthday dinner.
  2. Me and the wife at Owl Hollow Gun Club.
  3. The wife and I just got back from seeing the Dark Knight. We both thought it was a good movie, not great, but pretty good.
  4. The Ruger P345 is a good DA/SA, but a little tougher to carry in the summer, and only holds 8 in the magazine. However, it shoots great and feels good. Mine feeds and ejects every round from the magazine about 85% of the time. Other times, I get a failure to feed or click and no bang.
  5. +1 for the Glock 30 here.
  6. I finally got to go shoot my Glock 30 today at the range. It was smooth and very manageable. The pistol shoots as well or better than I do. If your 10 mm shoots as well as my 45, you must be very happy with it. I think the Glock 30 will now be my main carry weapon as I also received my HCP in the mail today. Now, I just gotta get a MTAC so I can put my Uncle Mike's nylon holster back in my unused holster box. Life is good! Makes me wanna go fire up the Jeep.
  7. I GOT IT TODAY!!! OH YEAH!!! It was a long wait. I finger printed on 4-14-08 and received my HCP today, 7-18-08. So much for 90 days. I'm just happy I finally got it. I went to the shooting range this morning and shot up all my ammo, so now I gotta go to Walmart and get some more. This is a good day.
  8. You don't need 2 guns, just 1 that has capacity of at least 8 rds.
  9. What if this guy would've had a HCP, it wouldn't have been legal to carry in an amusement park would it? I haven't done the research for myself yet. What do you think?
  10. Hunter, Thanks for getting that thing off the ground. Now, I've got a place to go shoot anytime I feel like driving out there. I don't have to deal with the Range Nazis at some of the other local outdoor ranges.
  11. It looks like I'm riding with Tungsten, so it'll be 6:30 I suppose. If I drive myself, I'll be there around 5:30.
  12. Hey Hunter, can we come earlier and shoot a little before the orientation since we may not get to shoot afterwards?
  13. I've just aquired the big brother to that one in the Glock 30 45 ACP. I haven't got to shoot it yet, but I'm really itching to. I hear they are manageable just like you said about the 40, but I'll be able to report what I think soon. I need to get the MTAC so I can carry mine in a week or so when my HCP arrives. Maybe I'll get to shoot mine tommorrow at Owl Hollow Gun Club.
  14. I'm gonna try if I'm feeling up to it. I'm still in recovery from surgery, and not getting around 100 % just yet.
  15. What? Like night sights?
  16. I was finger printed April 14th and called Friday and told I was being issued and to expect to see my HCP in 10 to 14 days.
  17. Well, It's official. I'm sitting here beside my new-to-me Generation 2.5 Glock 30 45 ACP. I'm itching to shoot it. Maybe I can drag Tungsten to the range with me and I can post my thoughts on how it shoots and some pics. For now, I'll sit here and continue putting together my wish list of things I need to get such as Pierce finger rests for the standard mags, grip plug, MTAC holster, 13 rd Glock 21 magazine, and adapter. Maybe I'll also get the extended mag release. Who knows? Any ideas?
  18. I'm so jealous. Mine shoots, but not really interested in carrying. I don't want something bad to happen before she realizes she needs it.
  19. But why do some people I know have theirs when they submitted the same time I did back in April. The woman got hers back in 5 weeks and her hubby got his in like 9 or 10 weeks. My went in on April 14 and Monday will be 3 months.
  20. Eddie, I'm truly sorry to hear about your loss. Misty was a wonderfully delightful young lady who I'm certain will always be truly missed.
  21. My wife and I are thinking of taking in a second 8 month old lab female. Does anyone have any suggestions on raising 2 of the same age, same sex, and same breed puppy? Our thought is that they will always have another pup to play with. The best chew toy for a lab is another lab, or so they say. Do you crate them in the same crate or side by side so they can see each other or side by side isolated from seeing each other by a blanket or something while we're at work during the day and at night when it's time to sleep? Alot of questions in my mind. Thanks as always for your opinions. Brian
  22. Play the Bday present card. That's the way to go. You did get her a B'day present right?
  23. Thanks, I will. (since after all, it IS all your fault!!!)
  24. XD 40SC, Nice. Congrats. Buy your wife one. That's working for me. I'm also gonna have to buy her a nice Cannon digital camera. Thanks for that btw.
  25. Why didn't you request that The Opry Mills put in metal detectors at every entrance while you had them on the phone?
