  1. That avatar makes me an advocate for open carry.
  2. After wearing the SmartCarry holster for the last couple days, I have to say I really like it. It's comfortable enough for a holster that you wear over your...well, you know. I wear it on the outside of my gym shorts around the house and when I go jogging in the mornings. It is mostly concealed by a T shirt hanging out over it. I've worn it at work the last couple days inside my shorts and it's pretty unnoticeable I'd say. Nobody has seen or asked about it. I do question the longevity of it however. I can already see an impression of the pistol in the back of it. I know velcro and elastic wear out over time. It's not a very fast draw, but I'd say " A S&W J frame in a SmartCarry holster is better than a Kimber at home in the safe." YMMV.
  3. I think Johnson will win it because he still has the hunger to win. I think Jr also has the desire and maybe the skills, but I'm seeing the same results he had at DEI. Maybe his problem is in the pit crew. (Or crew chief) I'd like to see Gordon win a couple more championships, but I don't think it's gonna happen. I hate Kyle Bush and his BIGHEADED,OVERINFLATED EGO. I think he was a whiner when he drove for Hendrick Motor Sports.

    sons of anarchy

I caught the replay of Sons of Anarchy. I think I could get hooked on that one. Alot killing and blowing s**t up. It was pretty cool.

    XD40sc vs. XD9sc

Go with the 9mm. Generally smoother followup shots.
  7. +1 and BUG in a SmartCarry.
  8. I love it. That's great.
  9. Sorry, thought you were watching.
  10. WOW! Did I call that one or what? And when I said that, I don't think he was even running in the top ten.
  11. Yep, that too. I like the bedside AK-47.
  12. No need for the perfect gun, then you wouldn't have an excuse to buy several. Get a good BUG and your prefered primary. Between those 2, you can carry anywhere. After that, buy your larger guns that may just be nightstand or range pistols.
  13. Not payback, kharma. Jr tryed to avoid contact, but that pissant pulled down in front of him, and he just spun again!!!

    Packing Heat?

I believe I'd leave the shotty at home if you're not going hunting. To me, that's like riding around with a loaded shotgun in your car or truck. Just asking for trouble, and then you won't be getting a HCP. My .
  15. If you're Rick Hendrick, you'd be foolish to get of Gordon, even though he appears to have peeked and now just another car in the chase running around tenth. However, someone like Waltrip who can't really even compete, should have got out of the car already. I think his personality is the only reason he is still in the car, not his capability. I hate to admit it, but Kyle Bush will end up winning the championship one year. I hope Jr can win a cup with Hendrick. HA! Kyle just spun out. I love it!
  16. Johnson, he's looking good this season. I HATE Kyle Cry Baby Bush!!! Johnson and the #48 team still have the the hunger to win that I wish the #24 team still had.
  17. Roy, the problem with the SmartCarry is not sliding down. It's meant to be worn low and will not slide down. It does tend to ride up a little in the back. It would work great with that KelTec.
  18. Funny. HAHA! LOL. Keep em coming. All the starving, out of work comedians, and you're cracking jokes. Good one.

    Thoughts? Reviews?

I had the P14-45 and lost my butt on it, but was so eager to get rid of it, I took the loss. Paid over $900 for it, and sold it for $400. It had many fte and ftf problems with all different ammo. The mag dropped out from time to time. It was a great looking gun, but quality was not there. I don't think I'll buy another Para. That's my . YMMV.
  20. I got my SmartCarry rig today. I like it alright. It will not be the holster I wear everyday, but it does fit the need when I'm not wearing clothes with belt loops. (ie: overalls, gym clothes, wind pants, swim trunks, ect...) I bought the small one to fit my J frame S&W and Bersa 380. I do not plan to carry my primary weapon in that type of hoster, but I always want to be able to carry at least a BUG everywhere I go. This thing is great for that purpose. It's not that uncomfortable either. I wore it around the house all day today. I don't think it would be comfortable with anything larger in it. I've seen the pictures and video of Charlie wearing his 1911 in it, but I don't see how that can be comfortable. I can see wearing a Glock 26 in one, but don't think I'd go much bigger than that. I think this would be great for any pocket size gun. No replacement for the Crossbreed or MTAC, but it does have a place in my wardrobe, not just another holster in the box. What do you think?
  21. http://www.centerfiresystems.com/AC-RI1911-CSP.aspx Centerfire systems has that compact tactical 1911 RIA for $419 + shipping. I fondled one at the gun show. Pretty cool, but I don't think I need one. I want the full length one just to say I have a 1911 clone for the shooting range and home defense. Too big for CCW for my taste.
  22. I believe the old saying is "Any gun can be carried with the right holster and belt, no matter the weight." The compact RIA 1911 is very nice, but a little heavy for my taste being all steel. I prefer a Glock 30 over the compact 1911.
  23. Nope, Glock 30 needs a big brother. I actually think I want a 21 because it should be more controllable for Steph than the 30.
  24. Anyone have a Glock 21? I'd like to give that one a test drive? Maybe I can talk the wife into letting Joe order one for me to go with HER pink sig mosquito.

    Packing Heat?

I can't believe that they forgot to mention that you were taking an HCP course instead of a CCW course and what the difference was and that TN is a open or concealed carry state. Remind me not to send my wife or anyone there. TNelson, as I said before, there are lots of very knowlegeable guys on the forum to talk with and raise questions to and like the saying goes, the only bad question is the one you don't ask. Come out , meet, and take advantage of the shooting opportunity if you can make it down there. It's a great time and chance to drool and plan your next purchases. It's also a great chance to meet alot of these good folks on the forum.
