    New gun

The G29 is built on the same frame as the G30 that I have. Not a bad size though. I think 10 mm ammo will be more expensive and harder to find though.
  2. You can sometimes find S&W CS45's at gun shows or I even saw one at On Target not long ago, but they have been dicontinued, so they are hard to come by. That fits your criteria. Another member here, westwindmike, has a compact S&W 45, but I don't know the model number. Shoot him a PM and ask.
  3. I was out at Owl Hollow this past weekend and they ARE open. I met the landowner and he will let you shoot there for 50 a year.
  4. It was a pleasure to meet you and your better half. I'm looking forward to meeting up with you at the range to burn up some ammo this weekend as well. Take care and go say nice things about me on the classified feedback section. LOL! See you then.
  5. PM received. Ammo is sold. Not that taking a HCP class with a 45 is a bad thing. My wife liked my Ruger P345 as well as any other gun I've owned.
  6. I think I've got 250 rds (5 boxes ) at home. First person to send me a PM can have them for $100.
  7. By the way, to the OP, nice Glock. I think you made the right choice. Congrats.
  8. Don't knock it till you try it. I don't think it was because it had "so much kydex." I could take your G19 MTAC kydex shell and reform it into a shell for your J frame S&W if you want. LOL. Just lt me know. I'll bring my hairdryer and stump. Yep, I think it only works for going from a big gun to a smaller one.
  9. Can you put some pictures on this thread of your gun and holster? I was wanting to find a good OWB rig, but the Serpa didn't look like it could be easily modified to make it worth cutting up a $50+ holster. If you can't post them here, email me with the pics please. I'm very interested in what you did, how it looks and fits, ect... Thanks. bnagashima@yahoo.com
  10. If by share, you mean brag, congrats. Yes, I'm jealous. Looks great.
  11. I don't think you'll be disapointed. They really are great holsters.
  12. It actually fit in the holster I had for my Ruger P345. It was a little loose, but not when I was wearing the holster. The Bianchi Minimalist had a retention ring that held the Kahr in place. The Crossbreed sandwiched the gun between my belt and body so the gun stayed in place. I never had to buy a holster just for the Kahr.

    Kahr CW .45

My CW45 was used, but very little. I also saw a used P40 at a local pawn shop. It looked pretty used and they wanted a like new price for it. I would like to buy another one someday though.
  14. I like the Crossbreed Supertuck.

    Kahr CW .45

I used my Kahr CW45 to take my HCP class. After shooting 150 rds, I didn't have one problem. That's the most I ever ran through it at 1 session. I cleaned it immediately after shooting. I never had a problem.
  16. I hope she has better luck with it than some of the horror stories I've witnessed and heard about. It looks real nice though. I was gonna get one, but I think I'll opt to buy the Rock Island Tactical instead.

    carry gun

You mean the GAL who owns one.
  18. I have a Glock 30, and I am looking for a holster also. I have the Crossbreed Supertuck IWB hoster and it's great for IWB, but I want something for OWB sometimes too. Crossbreed also makes a OWB rig that I may purchase especially if it's true that the Blackhawk Serpa is not available. One idea is to go on Glock talk and ask those guys what holster they carry for OWB with the Glock 30. If you think you want a MTAC IWB rig, you can try mine and see how you like the fit of it. I bought a MTAC also because everyone hypes it up so much, but to me, it's not as comfortable as the Crossbreed.
  19. Report how that Bersa 45 does at the range. I fondled one at Specialty Arms in Lavergne. I like them, or so I think. I have a 380 Thunder. I like it, so I'm thinking I'd like to have a Bersa 9 and 45 to go with it.
  20. My opinion is the Supertuck by Crossbreed. I have it and the MTAC and prefer the Crossbreed. At the time when I bought the Crossbreed for the P345, they didn't even offer the MTAC for it, and I don't know if they do now or not. After I sold my P345 and remolded the Crossbreed for my Glock, I bought the MTAC for the same Glock and tried both holsters. I prefer the Crossbreed. JMHO. YMMV.

    walther p 22

When did Sig Mosquitoes go up to $600? I paid $370 for my wife's Mosquito back last year in the fall. I think the Walther was around $400-$450. I'm looking for a plinker, but not a $600 one.
  22. Don't know about now, but they weren't that hard to come by. I bought mine used, and they were abundant. I bought my ammo at Dicks and it was as much as 45 auto ammo, but not scarce at the time.

    Kahr

I had a CW45 and loved it. The only things I didn't like about it was the low mag capacity and snappy recoil. I love my Glock 30 that I traded for the Kahr. The Kahr was a great gun and I hope I can get another one someday.
  24. You say that like there's something wrong having a J Frame as a BUG. I did the same. I bought my wife a 637 for a really good price because she liked my SP101, and found out she didn't like the 637. We bought her a Bersa 380 because she thought she wanted it, but now doesn't shoot it either. We bought her a Sig Mosquito that she likes to shoot at the range, but I don't know what we'll get her for CCW. Maybe a different 380. She doesn't like the recoil of a 9mm. Any suggestions? Yes, I do let her pick out her own.
  25. I like my dog in the fight, but I do wish the elastic didn't wear so quickly. For the money though, you can't really complain. It's good for its purpose.
