  1. J frame revolver when I carry a BUG.
  2. Sounds like fun.
  3. I have personally seen a Taurus 1911 break at the range. Han Solo here on the board owned it. I don't know what his experience was, but I hear CS sucks. YMMV.

    New GLOCK

I went to the range about 3 weeks ago. The websight belongs to the gunclub which is no longer affilliated with the range. You just have to pay the owner who lives beside the range. When he hears shooting, he will come down to run you off, collect money, or see if you have paid him, and shoot the sh1t. It still seems like a good place to shoot especially if you live close.
  5. Thanks. What goes better with guns than real jeeps?
  6. You're right. It could be worn straight up I suppose, but would you really want to? I don't plan to wear it cross draw style, but that was the manufacturer's selling point for it being slotted the way it is.
  7. I must add that I received this awesome TGO sponsorship sticker in the mail this week also. It fits perfectly on the back window of my '76 CJ-5. It looks great!!!
  8. I'm sure Joe won't have a problem with that.
  9. Thanks. No. It's 3-slotted so it can be worn on the left side as a cross draw rig.
  10. I got a package in the mail on Wednesday from MidwayUSA. It's great. I received my new DeSantis Speed Scabbard in just 3 days. I ordered it to carry my G21 and G30 in. I wanted a full slide length, open top, OWB holster. I like it alot. What do my TGO peers think?

    New GLOCK

I agree. It's only $50 for the year. Seems to be kept up. No range nazis, just the owner who is a little wierd, but aren't we all?
  12. Reminds me of the IWB Galco holster that I modified into a tuckable holster by sewing on a clip backing from an old cell phone case.
  13. Cool, thanks David. I'm really starting to lean toward the XS Big Dot sights the more I read and research.
  14. Gentlemen, since the OP has got the answer to his question, I think I'll close the thread since some people seem to be a little overly hyper-sensitive to public opinion. Thanks for all your input.
  15. CK1, I checked out those triangle sights. They look cool, but maybe a little too big on the front sight. I don't know. The sight picture does look pretty cool though. I'd like to see some in real life to see how big they really are.
  16. Slim, Maybe your problem with your G27 can be solved by buying a better holster that makes your Glock feel lighter and conceal better. I carry a Glock 21 or 30 most of the time, but sometimes I carry a little J frame revolver if I need to be less conspicuous. I prefer the 45 auto, but 38 Spl is OK sometimes. To me, I feel it is a little underpowered. Some would argue. It's all in what you feel comfortable with. The 38 spl is a great backup just as I'm sure the Keltec would be.
  17. That's funny. Didn't know SA offered an Autobots version of the 1911.
  18. My preference is without them. In my opinion, they stick out too far. Just my .
  19. Nice. I'm gonna get one someday.

    4 questions ???

    1. Not my first choice either, but yes 2. Probably not. I've seen their semis break and hear their CS sucks. 3. I carry a fullsize Glock 21. I don't worry about the grip, but that's just me. I wear long enough shirts or jackets to cover the grip. 4. I wouldn't think that would be a problem, but I'm not a lawyer.
  21. I'm looking for a set of replacement sights for my G21 and G30 45's. I don't want 3 horizontal dots to line up. I've done some online research and came up with either the XS Big Dot sights or the Warren Tactical sights. Let's start with the Big Dot sights. The cons: Somewhat less accurate at distances. They would also take getting used to since I've always lined up the front sight below the target instead of on the target. The pros: They say that the sights are very useful in a practical self defense close up scenario. The Warren Tactical sights have no cons that I can see. The pros are that lining up the sight picture is more what I'm used to. Price doesn't seem to be that much of a difference. What do my TGO peers think?
  22. It was good to meet you as well BBill. Keep wearing that hat so others around here will know you're one of their own when they run into you.
  23. Everyday carry- Ruger SP101 .357 Magnum Revolver
