I have the 637 and it's a great little carry weapon or BUG. You just have to practice putting your thumb over the hammer if you draw from a pocket holster. Nothing too difficult. I got mine on a great sale for $402 OTD. I haven't had a problem with the internal lock, so I feel no need to mess with it. Good luck on your decision.

I paid $399 + tax/tics for a LNIB Kahr CW45. I liked it and sold it only to buy a Glock that held more ammo.

I think the lousy trigger pull of the KelTec would make for a long defensive pistol class weekend. JMHO.

Maybe a early generation glock 19 or 17.

+1!!! That was one of the most comfortable guns I've carried and shot. The trigger was great. The weight was great. The feel of the grip was great. If I hadn't sold it to buy my VEPR K, I'd still have it today. I'll probably buy another someday.

Ialso vote for the glock in either or the g30 or the g21. Both are an excellent value and will accept the lasermax or crimson trace. Just my .02
