  1. Premier Orthopedics at Centennial.
  2. Started my brand spankin, shiny new job today. Finally got back into medicine, and orthopedics to boot. I couldn't be happier. The group I work with are all total gun nuts and are as equally hooked on one upping one another in shooting and stories. I have a wonderful feeling I could get to like this job.
  3. Not to be antagonistic about this but I've been doing this for a while now, and have seen this more than once. The urine will still be dark, not crap colored, but dark, because the kidneys become overwhelmed and cannot process that amount of fluid. The racing heartbeat is due to the lack of electrolytes in the body. Electrolytes are the key component in electrical transmissions within the body. When they become too low the heart can be affected as well, with intermittent bursts of electrical activity, causes a rapid pulse. Also can be explained by the brain telling the heart to compensate by pumping more blood through the brain in an attempt to maintain brain function. And the BP, I can almost guarantee you would not have been low. Not my first rodeo, seen it, treated it, and seen people die from it.
  4. Keep some granola bars handy for between meals and eat em even if ya aren't hungry in those situations. Quite literally a life saver.
  5. Mike, sounds like you actually were suffering from hyponatremia. It's when you drink so much water you flush all the electrolytes out of your system. The symptoms are identical to heat stroke, with BP being the only difference. Ya need to make sure you are eating food throughout the day as well as drinking water.
  6. Put on a pair of chemical resistant gloves, medical exam gloves work well, just no latex. Use non-chlorinated brake cleaner to remove all oil from the gun, after pulling the BCG and charging handle. Stuff the upper with paper towels, the take another one and place it between the upper and lower and close it. tear off the towel sticking out. Tape off anything you don't want painted, i.e. the rear sight aperture and the front sight post, optic lenses, etc. Then go to town with the can. If you screw it up, acetone and a GI brush will make for a quick cleanup.
  7. I don't care how well it wears, I just want it to wear. I love the look of a well used, dinged, scratched, and beat up rifle. It's a tool not a safe queen.
  8. More pics now that the rain has stopped.
  9. Took a cue from GhstFace and painted up my rifle today. I like it, blends in well with the surroundings around me. Tell me what ya think, once it stops raining I'll get some better pics up.
  10. Here's one. Site says $89 for a regular holster. Desert Eagle Holster
  11. When you see it, you'll &^#$ brix...
  12. Try a S&W M&P in any of the calibers, I love mine, it's grips like a 1911, not overly huge, and is a tack driver.
  13. I got it now. Since I bought it I have thrown on a BCMGUNFIGHTER MOD3, VLTOR light mount holding a G2, and a PWS Tod's Tiny One. BRD has a hold of me bad.....
  14. Huh... Won't let me post pics now...
  15. I wear those type of shoes to run. It actually helped out a lot with my lower back pain afterwards.
  16. These guys are nuts, I wanna go shoot with them.
  17. This guy is a tool.... I hope he is chased to eating a gun from the b/tards coming after him.
  18. I like it, I was always taught to grip as far out on the gun as possible, so this really just makes it more comfortable for me to do so.
  19. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!!!! This gun can shoot! Took it out and dialed in the sights today, 20 rounds zeroed irons and optic. Then did some run and gun. This thing shoots like a wet dream, super smooth, straight back, easy follow up shots. But then again training may have a little to do with the muzzle control. But I'm in love, never letting go of this one.
  20. I'd vote yes.
  21. I could afford it thanks to a re-up bonus. Other than that, flat broke. Lol And in other news, went to the gun show and picked up an M&P9c. This is getting out of hand.
  22. Went by The Outpost yesterday, and walked out with an arm load of stuff. To include this: DDM4v3 rockin a Magpul UBR, MOE grip, AFG, and B.A.D. Lever. On top you'll find an Aimpoint T-1 Micro on an ARMS #31 QD mount. Also have so Troy rail covers, but need to modificate the AFG so they can fit, OSOE single point sling, and DD QD sling adapters. And a case of bullits to blow holes in paper today.
  23. If you're thinking of enlisting, in basic training 50% is passing, for the rest of the Army 60% is the standard.
  24. Thanks guys, still reveling in the fact that I'm not bleeding money towards something that never seemed to get any smaller. Now just to pay off this pesky truck...
