    Snow Report

Woke up to 3 1/2 inches, and a big rig jack knifed across my way to work. Staying home today.
  3. Bang, Bang MuthaF'er. Or something like that.
  4. Yeah, the sheriff has been notified as well as his supervisor. The guys new, so hopefully they'll just yell at him real good and correct whatever attitude deficiency he has.
  5. I didn't think so, I did it last night to a county deputy who must have been trying to read the serial number on my wheel weights. He pulled me over and lamblasted me about how I could be arrested for assault on a deputy. I didn't get arrested obviously, but I just wanted to clarify before I drop his badge number along with a complaint on the sherriffs desk.
  6. Time to derail this thread since there are so many cops in it. Is it illegal to brake check an officer if he's so close to you bumper that you can't see half of his windshield? Not during the day when you know it's a cop, but when it's nightime and you have no clue that it is an officer.

    Thinner!

If you use the right holster, and dress around the gun to a slight extent, you could hide that thing in board shorts and a t-shirt. I'm 5'8" and used to CC a HK USP Fullsize everyday, with well fitting clothes. Look into a different holster, i.e. Crossbreed, Comp-Tac, Secret City Weaponeers, and you'll be much happier without the out of pocket cost of buying a new pistol.
  9. "Hey Farva, what's that restaraunt you like with all the goofy **** on the walls?" Shenanigans, this thread has it. lol
  10. The one thing that I never liked about the VCAS is the 572873 step manual of arms to transition from shoulder to shoulder. Under stress that could easily get FUBAR'd and then you have to deal with a mess of sling and rifle rather than engaging. That's why I prefer the single point. As well as the fact that if you do weapons captures, i.e. throwing the rifle around to where you secondary's grip catches the barrel, you don't have the lawn dart syndrome and it's easliy reversed. Rather than extend the sling, get your arm under, get the gun back up, then arm back over, and retighten. Too much time, even with training, it still takes too damn long.
  11. It's in stock vs the DD and QD swivels are cheap.
  12. The Noveske is cheaper, huh.... I may have to look into that one for my next build.
  13. Actually, you'd be surprised how easy it is to carry a rifle around on a single point sling. If it's held up tight enough it doesn't bang around as much as you'd think. I'm a big fan of the gear sector single point just for this reason, it keeps the rifle high on the chest and it doesn't use the HK hooks so no rattling. Take a look at their stuff, high quality gear for a pretty decent price.
  14. Well so much for not having a 7652873465 month lead time. Ordered it September 2nd, and just got it today. I threw a temper tantrum to get it too, other guys were getting theirs with 2 months and mine took almost 4. Holster looks good, edges are sharp as hell though, gonna have to sand them down. And it's ridiculously tight around the light. Gonna work on that with my old friend heat. Overall it could use some better workmanship for having taken 4 months to make, but it'll serve it purpose. Though next time I'll just order the Raven and know I'm gonna wait rather than be led on for so long.
  15. Holy baby Jesus... I just lost it, right in the middle of the office lol.
  16. You'll find my ass on a pontoon boat with guns, ammo, food, beer, gas, and fishing supplies. Find a zombie who can swim and I'll shoot his ass too, lol.
  17. Bacon?
  18. Somehow I ended up with a fiance, I feel your pain.
  19. Yeah it's the MA compliant spring for the newer guns.
  20. A reminder for the working guys on here... Don't scream HOLY *****!!!! in the office, you get lots of funny looks and a swarm of managers walking briskly in your direction.
  21. Fort Knox is still covered in half an inch of ice. Roads are terrible and I'm supposed to leave tomorrow, and it's gonna freeze again tonight.
  22. Were not robots, we are going to understand if you're keeping looters and people who want to kill your family for your weapons and food. Were gonna side with the property owner, you may be detained and questioned about it but you'd be let go.
  23. Deal with the local populace as in, firefight on your street, handle the civilians, clear the buildings, and make sure people aren't being stupid and shooting at us as we help clear the area.
  24. The Army does this every year. Nothing new. You worry about us training for a contingency that could very well happen if we were say, invaded... What would you say if we were invaded and weren't prepared to deal with the local populace as well as fighting an invading force?
