  1. AL laws are actually a good bit more lax than TN. I open carried the whole time, went into restaraunts that serve and all. Not a single odd look or any hassle.
  2. Voted. 12042579 responses
  3. LOL, I'm not into the whole stockpiling thing. But others are and that's why there's no ammo anywhere. And if it wouldn't cost me more to drive to murfreesboro, I'd go there. And my GF works at Dick's so I get her discount.
  4. HK USP .45 Full Size
  5. My buddies GF is in Cosmetology school. So we use the fake heads they have for cutting hair as targets. As many as we want, for free!!!
  6. Dick's sporting goods in Cool Springs is very well stocked in both. For .45 the have Winchester 230gr JHP for 33.00, American Eagle 230gr JHP fro 33.00, and butt loads of Remington 230gr FMJ for 20.00. For .223 I think all they have is Remington 55gr for 13.00, and they have a lot. Also they are up to the gills in 9mm. Get it while you can.
  7. I feel that they should be able to be photographed. It makes us remember what they did for our country, and the country they fought in. Too many people have forgotten that there are still soldiers dying over there, and turn a blind eye to it. They need to be reminded.
  8. Hmmmmm, I may have to bring my wallet, debit card, credit card, title to the truck..... And my camera
  9. You got to watch videos??!! We had death by powerpoint for two weeks. It was horrible. My GF already has the money set aside to take her class and pay for the permit. Had it for about 6 months now and still has a year to go. It's also turned into her gun money pool, lol. She's got a lot of saving to do though. She wants a WC Sentinel Compact.... I wish I could afford that gun. :(
  10. I email my Reps every time something that I feel is important comes to the floor. Gun related or not. Maybe my voice will help, maybe it won't. But I exercise my rights to the fullest.
  11. I started carrying my wallet in my jacket pocket. Took them several long tries to get it. lol
  12. You've tried everything but replacing the strut. Try that, if it sounds like a strut going out, replace the strut.
  13. I'm in the same hole, though a slightly deeper one. My GF won't let me have my USP .45 back. She thinks it's "cute." So I'm stuck with a G27 in .40 no less. I'm afraid I'm gonna shoot myself on accident
  14. I got called to serve jury duty right after I turned 18. In fact one week before I was going to ship for basic. I was told that under no circumstances was I to miss my appointment, even though I tried explaining that I was to go to AD. I pushed my ship date back and showed up. *please no one take offense to what is about to be said, I'm not actually racist* I had heard about the case, and when asked if knew the person being brought to trial. I replied "This ain't one of them colored fellows is it? Cuz I'm sure he did it." Told to leave, and I got to go to basic.
  15. Great news!!!! Another win for gun owners in WI. Surprising though, I open carried the entire time I lived in WI and never once got hassled about it.
  16. I got suckered early, wanted an HK since I was 11. The day I turned 21 I had a .45 USP in my hands. Now I want the new 45c.
  17. In mine, you would see a skinny white guy with an HK visible to everyone.
  18. Here she is boys. And she is a beaut!!!! Moped, you need to right click the picture, copy the image location then use for the picture to post properly.
  19. I am a BIG fan of HB0004. Though it will come a little late for me.
  20. Here is one of mine, from way back in the day with my old D40. I have since moved to a D300 and much better quality glass.
  21. Why is it that every gun owner I have ever met, including myself, is a photographer.
  22. Red status is cocked and locked with the safety on. And yes I do, lol.
  23. CC when necessary, OC everywhere else. Red status at all times.
  24. Trauma shears will cut through just about anything. As for the splinting, SAM splints are amazing. Good support, but flexible enough to mold to an extremity. Plus they are radiolucent, so they don't have to take it off to shoot x-rays.
  25. A good trauma bag is gonna have to key things. 1. Stop the Bleeding. i.e. Kerlix and ace wraps, Israeli Dressing, tourniquet, the NEW quikclot. 2. Airway. i.e. Rescue mask, Mouth to Mouth barriers. Everything else in a trauma bag is purely fluff. Tampons are actually a bad idea. I've seen them used and watched people die from it. Tampons just swell in the entrance wound, they won't tamponade major arteries or vessels. Kerlix stuffed into a wound is better, stuff as much as possible then wrap tightly with an ace wrap. Instant compression dressing. And no worries about getting germs and other crap in the wound, get them to an ER and they will give IV antibiotics based on the indication. Tourniquets are great, the new life saving protocols for Pre-Hospital care have changed to include them. If they are hemorrhaging, put a tourniquet on, tighten til the bleeding stops. Good ones don't have velcro, blood plus sand or dirt or whatever make velcro ineffective. I use 1 inch ratchet straps. Yeah they hurt like hell, but they are effective and don't slip, just stick a roll of kerlix under the ratchet. They major key to all of this is good pre-hospital care and quick transport to a hospital.
