  1. Hey guys I am possibly looking at a tour in Afghanistan later this year, and part of it is being issued all new Multicam uniforms and equipment. I have a huge pile of ACU stuff that I won't be using anymore if I go, so I wanted to see if there would be any interest in buying some or all of it. I have two recon chest rigs, tons of pouches, hydration carriers, and other misc stuff. So let me hear what ya think, and if this comes through then I will let it all go.
  2. Just like a felony. Will screw you in the long run.
  3. The XSi is a great starter camera. Good build quality, the shutter has a long life, and AF is very good. She should be quite happy with it. Just don't let her get sucked into the whole "I have this awesome camera that takes awesome pictures" thing. Only two thing in photography matter, what's in front of the camera, and what's behind the camera.
  4. Hey Daniel I have one that I just wrote up for some of my guys after shooting the CPQC. The letter head needs to be changed as does the signature block but it will do the trick.

    h&k usp 45?

The HK Universal Self-Loading Pistol is a fantastic piece of gun. I owned one for several years, carried it daily and never once had an issue with it. I beat the crap out of that gun and it kept on ticking, I trusted it implicitly. It shot great, was very accurate, and easily controllable. I would say do the trade, but that's just me.
  6. And that sign is at the entrance to the mall in the back of the store.
  7. The failed drug test was the reason he was told... The actual reason is that the Reserves are WAAAY over strength right now and in the last quarter of '09, they stopped all Reserve enlistment to let some of the old farts retire and make room. Go back in August and he might have a better shot.
  8. For now Got some new stuffs in for the gun, WC Hammer assembly to replace the factory lockable hammer. And some Chip McCormick mags. Pardon the crappy pic. Last thing on the list is to have Jeff at Hero Gear put Novak cuts on the slide so I can get some decent night sights on her. Also got my Comp-Tac gun belt in, thing is stiff!!!
  9. Crossbreed Supertuck is a good option. As it the Comp-Tac MTAC. But overall, Tucker's The Answer is the best IMHO.
  10. I've sold two guns on here, both were SPF within hours of posting.
  11. 3 inches here in Leipers Fork. Roads are what I like to refer as "the fun stage."
  12. Got shot in the right eye with a BB gun when I was in 7th grade. Blind for about 48 hours, couldn't see a damn thing for about 3 months. Now back to normal, though I have a slight astigmatism and can see floaters occasionally.
  13. Butter.
  14. Hell I'd post a pic of my ID lol.
  15. I'd put him down, it's the humane thing to do.
  16. Ear Pro is something that the DoD has put out many advisements and policies about wearing. Though you still have the guys who don't. And they come back half deaf. We have combat ear plugs, Surefire ear pro, and the most commonly seen thing are Peltor electronic muffs. All of which allow you to still hear ambient noise but deaden the sharp impulse sounds i.e. gun shots. Also being snuck up on isn't something we worry about much nowadays. Sneaking isn't really the insurgents thing, they'd rather sit afar and IED and snipe us whenever possible. CQB gets them killed in rather large numbers. And the ears are very sensitive to impulse noises, especially those over 140 db. Constant exposure to that quickly causes hearing degradation or total loss. All the big bad tough guys who say they are used to it, really aren't. Their ears have just been damaged to a point that the sound is slightly muffled, which is still dangerous. You may not be able to hear the sharp crack due to partial deafness, but the anatomy of the ear, specifically the eardrum, and the three little bones in there are still subject to the vibrational forces the sound creates. Short answer for the ADD afflicted. We wear it, are required to wear it, and when we don't we gradually go deaf.
  17. WHO DAT!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Thanks, I'm quite happy with it. A bit of wear on the finish already, but that's because I beat the crap out of this gun.
  19. F that noise.... Go buy you a Taurus PT1911 and smoke 'em. Thing is damn accurate for being what people think is a POS.
  20. That's absurd pricing for this rifle...
  21. I have a chrome Davis P32. While not a gangster as the 380, it's still pretty gangster. Oh and did I mention it's chrome?
  22. Got the VZ Operator II grips on. Had to create an ambi-cut since they didn't get shipped with it. File and a knife and they fit great. These grips rock, extremely aggressive checkering. Doesn't slip no matter how wet my hands are. And muzzle control is greatly increased, very little muzzle flip now.
  23. Black grips, the only way to roll.
  24. Had it for about 5 months now. Shoot 200 rounds through it a week. Running like a champ. Alumahyde is good stuff. Should come out great.
  25. Dear god I miss my Army mom now... She'd make me lumpia at least once a week. Irish and Norwegian. With a bit of English and Cherokee in the mix.
