I've been doing 12 mile ruck marches twice a week, about 60 pounds of total weight, around Fort Knox. It's done wonders, already lost 3 inches around the waist, though no weight loss. I feel amazing for all that I've done, and it's showing.

Something as simple as wearing a tucked in undershirt will help. The grips on my gun are very aggressive, and that solved the problem for me. For the ankle, taller socks can help. How its chaffing through cargo shorts is beyond me, maybe is just the weight of the gun against your leg that is causing it.

Im with Mike, went from Surefire ear pro to the Peltor Tacticals. Not looking back. I wear for them for ridiculously long periods of time under my kevlar, and never have a comfort issue with them. And it does an awesome job of dampening gunshots while still being able to hear whats going on around you.
