Anyway to address the whole "white guilt" thing, if white folks are going to be held responsible of the crimes of their ultra-distant ancesters from 150+ years ago by black folks, than white folks should consider the decendants of crimes committed by black folks who are currently in prison for murder, assault, theft, etc just as guilty as the ones who actually committed the criminal act themselves. What's good for the goose is good for the gander right?

Seems to me that there is a whole lot of hysteria/fear of armed civies these days, thanks to the 24/7/365 media coverage of school shootings the notion has beeen repeatedly hammered into the American-psychy that every single MWAG is probably a potential mass school childrenz killer & not a law-abiding firearm owner or even a kid with a just replica/toy gun. So I'd say the likelyhood of an officer immediately engaging a little-kid holding an evil "AK" without saying anything prior at all, has risen greatly over the last 10 years out of plain & simple fear for their own lives. That's just a guess though, why else would kids be getting suspended from school for chewing a pop-tart pastery? That is except out of an irrational fear of armed children?

As our sense of nationalism declines, regional, religious &/or racial "tribalism" will see a resurgence in it's absence. It's not rocket science.

My sleep schedule is really eratic, my spinal injuries keep me tossing & turning in an attempt to find a position comfortable enough for me to drift off, I sleep for maybe a few minutes or maybe iffin I'm lucky a few hours then I'll have spasm & wake back up due to the pain, toss & turn for another hour, drift off ... then BAM! spasm, rinse, repeat, etc the whole time I try to lay down, I've tried sleeping sitting in a chair but it's even worse. So there really is no telling if/when I am ever going to be awake or asleep because I haven't had a "normal sleep schedule" in years, which totally sucks as ya'all can imagine. I've tried everything over the years but the spasms are so intense that there is literally no drug (or combination of) or even surgery that can ease the intensity enough for me to ever be able to sleep through one. Anyway that's why the timing of some of my posts are so eratic ...

Absolutely, at least for some Americans anyway. Native peoples, African slaves & all people born a woman most certainly were, add to that the Wiskey Rebellion or more to the point add the reason why it happened & we see a very selective application of our Constitutional protections even during our nation's first administration. Over the last 222 years it has slowly snow-balled, sure a few advancements were made for this group or that group, but the gradual decline in personal freedoms & liberties has been unabated with every single piece of legislation passed, almost like bits of sand dropping from the freedom/liberty side & slowly but surely filling up the tyranny side of an hour glass. I cannot fathom how anyone would argue it hasn't, I just need to look back into my own childhood & count the number of things that used to be lawful, which are now unlawful, things that were once permitted, which are now prohibited, things that were once voluntary but are now compulsory, to realize how with every passing generation we've slowly subjugated ourselves, our children & our children's children.. Calm seas of despotism & all that I guess ...

Its obvious East, that I believe that in the absence of freedom & liberty, there is tyranny, where as you believe that in the absence of tyranny there is anarchy. I believe that the Constitution is the highest laws of the land, you believe local ordinances have the authority to over-ride it. It sounds as if we have polar opposite views on the matter, I doubt we'd ever come to an agreement, but it was entertaining to read your thoughts on the matter so thanks for the chat man. Sounded like you were having a lot of fun rationalizing all that. I had fun reading it, let's have some more fun shall we? By playing a game maybe? Everyone can play along at home, the only goal of the game is to try to list all of the statutes, regulations & ordinances (federal,state & local) which government regulates, (prohibits or compulses) certain behaviors from us. As an enforcer of these you should do better than most folks, but I'm fairly certain it is an impossible task to name off even 1% of them. http://blogs.loc.gov/law/2013/03/frequent-reference-question-how-many-federal-laws-are-there/ The above link is just refering to our federal statutes, the conclusion was that there are so many federal statutes that they would be impossible to count even in 3 life-times of trying. Add to those the millions of state & local ones and freedom liberty becomes nothing more than a simple illusion, it is literally a fairly tale that we tell our children in hopes that their chains rest lightly upon them. Is this tyranny? I cannot think of any other applicable word to describe it ... be it a single incident or literally countless examples, in the absence of freedom & liberty, there is tyranny.

I must had missed the part where our Founders wrote into the various amendments "unless trumped by a local ordinance" but I'm not surprised by your (or anyone elses) defense of this sort of tyranny, the majority of Americans have been conditioned their entire lives to believe that if there is a law, they must obey it. Even if blindly obeying any & every law that is passed means that they subjugate themselves, their children & their fellow Americans, how many times have you heard someone say "well I don't agree with it, but the law is the law" ... The Constitution was once considered our nations highest set of laws, our law-makers & law-enforcers at every level of government have chosen to ignore it because it limits their power/authority to boss the rest of us peasents around, however I still adhere to the notion that it remains the supreme law of the land. I don't want or need a ruling from the Supreme Court to make a determination on whether or not something is unConstitutional or tyrannical & the only type of people who do are already subjects & not citizens.

Unfortunately that'd probably be considered a "hate crime" these days instead of correcting someone's propensity for stupidity.

Jeesh I am not so sure that I should admit this but pretty much "all of the above" + & then some ... I'm still amazed to this day that I survived my childhood, for a really smart kid I did a lot of really stupid things. Sometimes I think that the only difference between now & then is that I get to say "here hold my beer" prior to saying "hey watch this!".

Jonnin, they're not really FMJ man, they are what is called "copper washed" which mind you does help with bore fouling vs std. lead bullets, but even those will eventually lead up rifling especially if you shoot them fast & get the barrel really hot w/any sort of regularity. I use Hoppes #9 bore solvent & bronze bore brush, usually I'll scrub out a fouled barrel while watching a movie or something to keep boredom to a minimal since takes a bit of time & a lot of elbow-greese to clean out a really fouled bore.

.22LR barrels can get leaded up (even with regular cleaning) & will look like the rifling has been worn out, the barrel probably just needs a really good scrubbing.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over what an easement is. Granted the purpose & language of easement(s) can vary quite a bit, but essentially they all boil down to a private property owner "granting permission" for someone else to have access to or use the portion of the property specified under an easement. It isn't a forfieture of that property or even a forfieture of the property rights of the actual property owner to also use his own property, so long as the easementee's use of that property is not hindered. Same is also true in reverse, the easementee's permitted access to & use of the private property must be as agreed to in the easement, it is not a carte-blanche usurpation of that portion of the property from it's right-full owner. I've owned a couple pieces of properties w/easements, a situation came up years ago when Comcast decided that they didn't need my permission to access one of my properties, because of an easement that I had with the rail-road (tracks & service road) and the power company for power-lines. They were extremely rude, pushy & they had no intention of delaying their work in building what ever it was that they had surveyed out back there regardless of what I as the owner of the property had to say about the matter. So I jumped back into my truck & parked it right in the middle of their job site & told them if anyone touches it I'd show up at their houses & start @#$%ing with their stuff. Anyway long story short, they delayed, we went to court, the judge upheld my property rights vs expanding my existing easement's to say something that they didn't say, so I offered to either sell, lease or negotiate an additional easement on that location with Comcast in exchange for free-cable television service at my residence for as long as they were planning on using that piece of my property. They didn't take the deal though, I'm certain that they just bullied another property owner in the area into believing that they had no option but to allow them to do what-ever they wanted, where ever they wanted because not many folks understand easements.

I think a better comparison would be a noise complaint (alledged violation of a local ordinance) & the responding officer sneaks onto the homeowners patio & takes the homeowners patio stereo, without the homeowner being aware of who took it or why.
