  1. Out of the Rugers I do like these best, I carried a Ruger Police Service Six for several years and it was a really good shooter, I'd still rather carry a S&W 19/66 but the Ruger Police/Security/Speed series were/are really good sidearm choices.
  2. House keys, gun safe keys, firebox keys, motorcycle keys, boat keys, etc are all on my key chain. I am not sure if I would have fired directly at the theives, but I might have tried to disable my truck so that the clowns couldn't go take everything I owned with all of the keys they possessed.
  3. This is the correct answer! Don't get me wrong I like Rugers just fine but S&W M19/66's are da shiznit!
  4. I picked one of these up yesterday on a whim just to check it out, I have used the small Smith carbide/ceramic sharpeners for years as quick & easy tackle box fillet knife sharpeners, but all of my serious "razor edge" sharpening I have always done on large oil stones. Anyway I choose to do my Scrapyard scrapper 5 with it first, since the blade steel is SR101 which is not only a lot thicker but also a lot harder than the typical 440 and 420 stainless knives most of these sorts of sharpeners are designed for. The end result was not bad at all and it was certainly much quicker than free-handing it across my oil stones, I have never really been interested in these sorts of sharpening systems before, mostly because I never imagened that I could get an edge on a blade as sharp as I could with an oil stone but I have to admit this does actually come pretty close! I will have to try a couple more knives when I get the time but it sure is a time-saver that is for sure.
  5. Both are really good sights but I prefer the XPS2 because for me at least target aquisition is so much quicker and the 65moa outer donut makes hitting moving targets easier.
  6. I also prefer shooting metal framed pistols, that said I always have a Ruger LCP in my pocket or on my ankle.
  7. I keep our dog inside unless supervised, but the neighbors pair of huskies battle with the local yotes on a regular basis, so far so good, but I think it is only a matter of time before they are killed. Yotes don't give up easily when they think there is food to be had.
  8. It is too late for balanced budgets, too many parasites would get upset and there isn't a viable political party willing to risk the parasites wrath, the end is near, prepare yourselves and your families for the inevetable is the best advice I can give.
  9. I have not seen the study, but from my own observations all of years that is the conclusion that I have also come too.
  10. Chinese magazines are the best steel mags IMHO, next are Bulgarian circle 10 waffle magazines in poly, Yugos are a good second choice in steel as are Bulgarian slabsides in poly.
  11. Yup
  12. Lighten up the buffer spring or use +p+ ammo and see if that clears up your short stroking problem
  13. It isn't like it happened over night, we've been digging this hole since the Carter administration, we've just finally dug so deep that there is no way to get out of it now. And there is no one who can toss us a rescue rope either because everyone is all down in the hole with us.
  14. No, it makes them stronger, faster & even more intelligent, duh!
  15. I agree Caster, not only ours but the rest of the globe is also teetering on the edge of a serious economic collapse, Europe will probably go down the rabbit hole first, followed soon after by us, then Asia will follow shortly after us, its inevitable since almost all of the Asian nations economies are based on exports to Europe and the United States.

Just don't ever give them the right to vote, because if you do it'd only be a matter of time before it would be a hate-crime to kill the undead!

Lol I was thinking the whole sailing yacht thing myself, still think that it would give greatest chance of survival.
  18. I'd personally commandeer myself a nice big sailing yacht and take to the sea, only coming ashore when I absolutely had to, and then only at remote locations or small islands.
  19. I'd suggest tearing the bolt down an giving it a good cleaning, Enfields were cosmolined up prior to being stored, also the old surplus .303 ammunition was made using cordite, which is dirty and corrosive. I am guessing that will correct the issue you are having.
  20. My Lowrance Elite-4 DSI came today, I mounted the transducers to the bottom of my Minnkota E2 and the screen to the top of it, that way both the trolling and my sonar are both essentially one piece, for easy on/off portability. I figured I'll need the Lowrance upfront on the bow near the trolling motor anyway in order to see which direction to position the boat to drop my netrope finder and this setup should work pretty well for that.
  21. There was a reason we engaged the Soviet Union in a multi-decade cold war, the communist ideology is quite simply, "dangerous" not only to individual freedoms, but to the very life itself of all of those folks trapped within its iron-fisted grip. Hundreds of millions of people were executed under communist regimes, sometimes for crimes consisting of nothing more than expressing a "non-state sponsered" opinion. Yes these people are morons, but never forget how dangerous morons who achieve a little power can be, especially fanatical morons who truely believe that "the ends justify the means"....
  22. I don't care what consenting adults choose to do in their private lives, or what color someones skin is or what religion they practice, what I do care about is when they start demanding other folks "accept" &/or "accomidate" their sexual preference, skin color, or religious beliefs. Especially when they demand that acceptance &/or accomidation in the form of passing legislation & suing others through our court system. IMHO a truely free society is one that is free to think, say and do as they please, without the government telling them that this thing or that thing is not lawful to think, say or do. Even good intentioned tyranny is still tyranny IMHO.
  23. I see lots of deer around WTSP & Fort Pillow area, I haven't seen any trophy bucks yet but I have seen a couple freezer worthy ones.
  24. G'luck to ya! I'll go pour some peanut oil into the fryer and toss some brewskies on some ice, what time should we expect ya?
