    Webley Mark 6

I wouldn't buy one unless it was really really cheap & then it wouldn't be to shoot it, it would be to use as a paper weight or to display in a shadow box or something. Seriously Spots ask to shoot it before you make an offer on it, doubt you'd still want it afterwards.
  2. I doubt I'd purchase any auto knives if the law changes, but I'd definately wear my Scrapyard Scrapper 5 more often if it does pass. Don't get me wrong, I love my smaller folding knives, but there are just some tasks that I really need a medium sized fixed blade for, although oddly enough "going armed" isn't one of them. In an emergency than yea I'd resort to using anything/everything that I could to defend myself, but I have never considered carrying a knife, even a large knife as "being armed".
  3. Paranoid looneys LOL, agreed TMF, heck I bet some of those same paranoid looneys also thought that Obama getting 120% some odd percent of the registered voters votes in certain districts was also a logistical impossibility! Seriously though, it seems like a whole lot of stuff that I used to believe would never happen ... happens. So I think that I shall be just a little paranoid, you know just in case it does actually happen.
  4. There are types of "ground penetrating" radar/sonar imaging systems that can pretty much see through just about anything/everything. Believe it or not but they have even installed radar/sonar systems on domestic drones, that can "see" through a persons clothing, ID a concealed handgun on that person, determine if that person is LEO or not (I suppose if it detects/ID's a metal badge? The article didn't say how it determines LEO or not but this is my guess) anyway if not LEO then the drone automatically taps into that non-LEO person's cellphone & then continues to track them using the phone's gps as well as it's own onboard systems.. Shit you not, that was discovered through freedom of information act, was just on Drudge Report last week I think, frightning stuff, especially considering the potential for tyranny of using such technology.
  5. That guy is going to get the mall owners sued.
  6. On the "could open the door" w/regards to lifetime permits to everyone, it could also potentially have the opposite effect, with regards to some folks not supporting future legislation because "the matter has already been settled" so to speak. Hard to predict, because Dems could use their vote on this very limited eligability one as political cover, to say they already supported lifetime permits in this particular instance, while opposing future attempts to expand it to other, everyday folks who are eligable for current renewable permits. So it could end up being thought as "settled law" and never make it out of sub-committee again, at least not in the short term.
  7. Well new "assembled" ammo would just require the reloading presses, dies & component materials, so that'd be more reasonable on the start up end, less on the back end returns though, especially after paying insurance, hazzard fee's & legal fees. Either way you'd probably be required to store the combustables in a bunker of some sort, can't recall the federal statute that covers that at the moment though, it's beeen awhile since I've had enough powder on hand to worry about that ...
  8. I've been riding since 77, I am very surprised that I have survived this long, although I am half-crippled I still really enjoy riding, I try to avoid a lot of city riding &/or interstate riding though, seems like everyone is out to kill you while riding through a populated/congested area.
  9. I worked for Star Ammunition back in the late 1980's, those machines aren't cheap, & several are involved in the process, for each & every step from stamping & drawing the brass, to sizing & trimming, to melting & molding the lead, primers, as well as the actual loading of the cartridges, for each & every caliber you're producing. Even a small ammunition factory like Star probably had several millions of dollars tied up in equipment & raw materials at any given time.
  10. Just having a bit of fun with ya OS
  11. Wow you knit-picked an "off the cuff historical time frame generalization" in order to discount the main/relevant/current issue, that was awesome. You sure schooled me!
  12. Nothing emotional about it, it's math, iffin' you think 1 billion muslims are problematic now ... just wait until their numbers double to over 2 billion by 2030, which for those of you who aren't very good at math is equal to twice as many of em, in only a few short years. Article from Time Magazine: http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/01/27/2-2-billion-worlds-muslim-population-doubles/
  13. *sigh* the largest, fastest growing fascist movement in history & everyone just blows it off like it's no big deal because it is a religious one instead of a political one.
  14. I'd been down with owning a 155mm, definately some parts of Memphis I'd feel more comfortable traveling through towing one behind my truck.
  15. But it is a Right, one that specifies ..."shall not be infringed". However it has been infringed upon so much generation after generation under the spirit of compromise for the greater good that it has for all intents & purposes become a Privilage, one that is constantly under threat of complete removal, without even having so much as a Constutuional Convention as required by law to amend the Bill of Rights ... they have simply, purposefully & successfully have redefined the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights, as a Privilage & now wish to revoke that privilage. But hey it's just words written on a piece of paper after all right? by a bunch of dead, slave plantation owning , rich white guys whose ancient ideals have absolutely no relevence in today's modern society ... right?
  16. I don't see how ignoring the problem is going to stop the spread of the worlds fastest growing religion, one which is extremely hostile to all others, parts of Europe aren't hardly even recognizable any more, it has even spread into the south Pacific, we didn't ignore the spread of communism, we shouldn't ignore the spread of islam. It is just as dangerous if not moreso, for thousands of years they've killed & killed million(s) of infidels, but for some odd reason these days they are "the religion of Peace". Yea, let's pretend that it's only a hand-full of "bad ones" & that if we are just nice to them, they will stop killing us ... dee de dee.
  17. Cute, but I don't coddle folks who's religious beliefs include "converting or killing" non-believers, and who's continual terrorist attacks over the last 30+ years have hastened the demise of freedoms here in this country.
  18. Thought this thread was about the new Pope, anyway I don't know much about the Pope, but I hope he's not going to continue the tradition of being a massive wuss with regards to how the Church has been "sucking up" to muslims like they've been doing for the last 20 years or so. I'd like to see one with enough hutzbah to call for another holy crusade & burn every mosque they come across
  19. Or we could skip the permit process altogether & just pass a law making Constitutional carry the law of the land, those already prohibited from owning firearms would still be prohibited, but anyone who can lawfully own (keep) a firearm, also can lawfully carry (bear) them. I can just imagine our founding fathers reaction to us having to first get the Crown's "permission" & then pay a "tax" prior to being able to excersize one of our Constitutional Rights! I am not sure if they'd laugh or if they'd cry, but I'm fairly certain they'd get really pissed off after the initial shock wore off.
  20. Saturday morning sarcasm, +10 internets to you Dennis!
  21. That'd be great for us, but I'd really hate to see a "special privilaged class" created just because I'd benifit from it. I'd like to see every law-abiding person share the same "right" to keep & bear arms as the 2nd intended.
  22. Hey that's great! But what about the rest of us that served less than 20 years? or are not 100% disabled? or what about just ordinary average Joes that would rather not have to continually renew every few years? Lifetime permits are a great idea, I have an Indiana lifetime permit, but jeesh they sure as heck kept the number of folks who would be eligable as limited as possible...
  23. That is pretty cool, now I've gotta make one!
  24. I am not sure what their end-goal is? Is it to instill "white guilt" into folks who probably has never discriminated against anyone ever in their lives to begin with? Or is their end-goal to piss off white folks by repeatedly trying to get them to accept some notion of guilt/blame on them simply because of the color of their skin? Either way, I have personally had enough "diversity" shoved down my throat by reverse racists to last me five life-times, they can all go eat a bag of @#$%'s for all I care.
