Anyone buy non-working PS3's around Nashville?
RichardR replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
You might try doing a factory reset on it first, mine did the same thing, and as much as I hated loosing all of my game-saves it did reset the problem & start working again. -

The outer finish on Glocks will show wear, but the tenifer treatment penetrates into the metal & should still protect against corrosion.

Well a cynic would theorize that it is probably because far-reaching legislation is much, much easier to pass in the aftermath of a terrorist attack.

David, I am guessing that you must not have seen the video of all of the homeowners in that 20 block cordoned off search zone being forceably removed everyone from their homes at gunpoint. In the video the officers didn't even bother to "ask" the homeowners for consent to search their homes, as soon as the homeowner answered the knock at their door an officer put his gun in the owners face & forceably yanked them out into the street. IMHO every single American should watch that video. -

Well said JAB -
You can usually find good deals on used Rem 1100's, folks start having ejection problems with them & have no idea that it's a bad O'ring, which is a very easy fix.

Well out of the "big three" I prefer the Eotech XPS series, much quicker target aquisition, much easier to engage & get hits on quick moving targets to.

The same reason it didn't happen in Boston, the American people have no desire to resist, maybe get themselves or members of their family killed in a shootout with the *cough* authorities *cough* ... -

Drawing a duty-sized weapon from the hip while seated in a vehicle is akward & slow to begin with (even with an OWB/IWB holster w/no retention), which is why I usually wear a shoulder rig or I'll place my handgun in my center console if I am going to be driving for long periods &/or driving through in areas of increased risk of being car-jacked, etc. -

The main problem is that "crime prevention legislation" is just feel good nonsense that only erodes law-abiding folks rights & freedoms. Ok let's say a judge or psychologist declares an emotionally troubled person "unfit" to own a firearm, is that really going to prevent them from stealing or buying a stolen firearm? No ... not unless that person is a "law abiding minded person" to begin with, a "criminal minded person" doesn't give a crap. *sigh* I cannot understand why there are so many people who believe crime prevention legislation actually preventscriminals from committing crimes ... -
The coop looks great Spots, chickens are great animals, not only do they provide fresh eggs & meat, they are also wonderful stress relievers iffin you sit & watch what I call "chicken TV", as they can be extremely entertaining at times.

Yup, I think the flex shaft is one of the best Dremel accessories, especially if you hang the dremel on a Yo-yo cable over your work bench, makes projects so much easier.

What is the intended purpose of the rifle? The reason I ask is so that I can give the best advice w/regards to whether or not this would be the best choice in optics ... In general yea these are pretty decent electronic sights, but I wouldn't suggest them for anything more than "recreational use". If you are wanting an optic for a work/duty/fighting/shtf rifle than I'd suggest ponying up the extra dough for one of the three proven performers such as an actual Aimpoint, Trijicon or Eotech.

For short-range (100m-300m) target shooting I'd probably slap a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x 40mm w/mil-dot recticle on top, it's a nice but inexpensive entry-level fixed power target scope that I'd think would be great for your shooting needs.

Those MUT's look pretty sweet, congrats on your new multi-tool man! I wouldn't mind owning a MUT, I'd probably keep it in my range bag though, little to much bulk & weight for me to use as an EDC tool. Anyway I've easily got over a dozen or so various multi-tools of various shapes, sizes & functions that I've picked up over the years, they are extremely handy so I have them stashed in bugout bags, tackle, glove & tool boxes, etc. My EDC multi-tool is a Leatherman FreeStyle, it's a bit smaller than other "fullsized" models, but it is not one of the mini sized gadgets, what I like most about it is that it is shaped to fit the hand nicely, making it much more comfortable to use as a pocket knife, but the reason it is a bit smaller is because it only has a knife blade & pliers, no other assorted gadgetry. Which oddly enough the lack of all of the gadgetry & quick access to the knife blade is exactly what I was looking for, since I primarily use pocket knives, but since I also need a pair of needlenose pliers to open the tail gate on my truck, it saves me the hassle of having to keep a pair in my truck's center console. Thus the Leatherman FreeStyle is a bit lighter & a bit less bulky so it is a tad easier to carry than my other full-blown multi-tools, plus the knife blade is good enough that I am able to leave my other pocket knives at home, saving me from having to carry an additional pocket knife along with my other multi-tools such as I had to do for years simply because most of my other multi-tools are not very ergonomic.

I agree with all of Wylds above comments & suggestions.

Whatcha' going to be using the rifle for?

Congrats man! You made a great choice for your first rifle, I bought a Rem 700 SPS .308 Tactical when they first hit the market to replace my Savage FP10 (which was also chambered in .308), anyway I use mine as an all-weather, low-light, hunting rifle, but it is more than accurate enough for "precision work" iffin I want to punch holes in paper with it.

A mega-scale RC would be pretty sweet, most of mine are 1/8th & 1/10th scale & chug down nitromethane like it isn't $30 a gallon so a regular gasoline fueled RC truck would be nice to have & a lot cheaper to keep fueled LOL. Building a 1/5th scale from scratch would be a fairly expensive proposition though ...
