I am not a big fan of side-saddles, they tend to snag on stuff, however Speedfeed stocks are the cat's meow IMHO for carrying a few extra spare shells, they keep them tucked in the stock, easy to access but out of the way.

Yea we had a really good 4th, I don't drink though (at least not often & never to excess) we mostly watched fireworks, wailed on each other with Nerf swords & played catch/fetch/tug of war with our dog, until he was exhausted. Last night we did a bonfire & stuff, so yea pretty good holiday so far.

Has anyone built one of these Flashlights

Thermocouples are extremely inefficient, it's doubtful technology will be able to produce one small & powerful enough for the heat of someones hand to power a device that consumes more energy than say a very low-drain device like say wrist watch or calculator or something. A couple nails poked into a potato will light an LED up a little bit, the trick is getting useful amounts of energy out of it. At the moment the best bet is the hand-crank/generator lights, best output vs energy expended, aside from traditional battery power for emergency use that is. -

the only "right" we have left is the right to remain silent ... unless of course that is we specify we are doing so prior to remaining silent, or we are being water-boarded or if we are being compelled to testify or .... *sigh*.

I'm on 3G so I can't watch the video, but I'm guessing it works on a thermocouple principle? -
I'd build a cancer camp for kids, not only would it be useful in case of SHTF I'd also be able to do some good iffin the SHTF never happens.

I'm not wearing panties, these are boxer-briefs & they are not twisted (facts vs emotional assertions). Just as your opinion, based solely on your emotion/feelings are irrelevant to Zimmerman's guilt or innocence, which as I said previously all of the factual evidence & *credible* testimony clearly show Zimmerman is innocent of 2nd degree murder. The trial has already exonerated him as far as I'm concerned.

Contradictions in logic, are illogical. Small picture people, rarely if ever are able to see the bigger picture, that old "can't see the forest because of all of the trees" sort of thing. What were we talking about again? Meh something about gay trees or homo-forests or something, I'm hungry, wait, what?

The Mossberg factory GRS are very good, but soldering them on is best left to folks who know what they are doing. Anyway I'm not a fan of side-saddles, however I am a fan of Speedfeed stocks to carry extra shells & Surefire forearms for adding a weapon light, I'd suggest those over the Magpul, but they are a lot more money, so iffin your budget is tight stick to factory &/or Magpul.

Agreed. Which is unfortunate but the left has used them so often that it has essentually watered them down to mean "conservative" which of course has nothing to do with race or sexual preferences or anything other than being in disagreement with a liberal. On another local forum to vote for a Rebublican canidate is considered racist so yea I'd say that the terms have become meaningless.

I'm not "anti-gay" but I am not in favor of changing the definition of marriage. I fully supported civil unions & thought that this issue had been settled, but now all of the sudden civil unions aren't good enough anymore, probably because it's not a big enough middle-finger to traditional moraled/religious folks. In fact they've become so emboldened & have successfully forced their morally corrupt lifestyle on children w/the BSA, in every school's cirriculums, to the point where I've become rather annoyed by all of the pro-gay propaganda & all of the cries of "homophobe" & the constant demonization of anyone& everyone who isn't in complete lock-step with their agenda. I'm not against everyone getting the same benifits as everyone elses partner gets, I just think they should stick to using the word "civil union" & leave the definition of marriage the #@#$ alone.

Congrats on the new to you 10/22 man, I have one that looks very similar, except mine is one of the Walmart exclusives with the walnut deluxe sporter stock, 22" SS barrel, metal trigger guard, etc, 10/22's are absolutely one of the really great iconic carbines/rifles, everyone should own at least one or 2, or 3, or ... I bought that one for my youngest when she was born, but she allows me to shoot it whenever I want LOL.

I'd be honored, I'll put together something for a shotgun segment and get back to you.

I used to do a lot of dirt, trail, trial & motocross riding in the 70's & 80's, my first learner bike was a 77' Kawasaki street/trail 90cc, then a Yamaha 100, then a 79' Ossa 125cc Phantom, lastly an 86' Honda 250cc. I switched to streetbikes in 86, with a KZ900, haven't ridden a dirt bike since, but would love to again sometime if I ever found a good spot close by here.

Cool, I could even put together some material for you guys to do on an episode or something as well, maybe a segment on shotguns or something

"A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government." - Thomas Jefferson. A neighbor who takes no pride in his property does not "injure" you, your arguement of imaginary harm to the full-potential of your property values vs taking that man's liberty to live as sloppy as he pleases, is a tyranny vs liberty one. Liberty is priceless & irreplaceable, IMHO people such as yourself should take more care with how quickly they would trample it in the pursuit of a few potential dollars.

Where in TN are you guys shooting the show? I am on the far-west side, but there are lot's of TGO'ers who can probably build a table for you.

Agreed, we need to start holding the folks who have been intrusted with the public trust, accountable ... at every level of government. While I have zero complaints about the water here in Ripley (the tap water is actually quite good here) I have lived in a couple parts of the country where it was horrid, potable though it may had been it tasted like ass-teresks & could not be consumed without first filtering the ass-teresk out of it.
