  1. Well pardon the #### out of me, how was I supposed to know that your extensive experience with super-soakers, nerf-sharpshooters & airsoft-guns trumps my 35+ years of actual hunting experience?
  2. DCI (D.C. Industries) also makes excellent stamped recievers.
  3. Ossa was a Spanish manufacturer, but I agree they were great bikes, I owned an Ossa Phantom back in the late 70's, early 80's.
  4. Listening to Levin at the moment, some good radio programs on the air, that's why I listen ... well that & I can listen to the radio while I'm doing other stuff.
  5. I've been riding a 2000 Yamaha V-Star Classic for the last 13 years, it's been a darn good bike, absolutely trouble free. If I were in the market for another motorcycle I would probably go the exact opposite direction you're looking at (big, heavy, powerful) and pick up a smaller, lighter Royal Enfield Bullet C-5 Military or IMZ-Ural M-70 Retro, which ever one I bought I'd definately attach a sidecar to it.
  6. Who? I don't know or care about this Leonard person, my concern is with the deterioration of our Constitutional protections & rights, in this particular case the 1st, 2nd & 4th Amendments.
  7. Wanting someone to be injured &/or killed, because you disagree with their ill-advised, but lawful & Constitutional behavior seems a bit extreme to me. I usually reserve those sorts of feelings for the more monsterous types of folks who commit heinous crimes, such as child molesters, mass murderers, tyrants, etc.
  8. "These are the times that try men's souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman." - Thomas Paine.
  9. 4 what? Not being afraid of offending the sheeple's sensitivities?
  10. Indiana was the same way, which is probably why all of this hand-wringing stuff makes no sense to me, I'm just used to seeing long/hand-guns in ordinary law-abiding folks hands & I don't freak out automatically thinking "OH NOES mass murdererrrrrzzzzz!".
  11. This thread is ripe with fear. Post after post expressing fear of what potential legislation might be passed because someone dared "bear arms" in public. The only reason you all feel this fear is because your "inalienable rights, which shall not be infringed" have generation after generation slowly become fragile privilages, which are ever-infringed upon every time that the left gets enough votes to do so. It's happened so many times that the fear has become Pavlovian.
  12. I think they'd be pretty pissed off at what happened to the legacy of liberty they had left for us & the cowardly nature of those who profess defense of what little remains of it.
  13. I wonder what George Washington & Thomas Jefferson would think about some of the comments in this thread ...*sigh*
  14. Welp, iffin you believe that the greatest threat to America 2.0 is patriotic caucasion Christian males, than yea you'd believe that she'd be the perfect for the job.
  15. Welp "placating the fear-mongers" has been a losing battle for us, our 2nd Amendment has been & will continue to be constantly under-seige, no matter how compliant we've been with each and every piece of legislation which strips our rights away from us, and they will not stop until "We the People" have been completely disarmed or there is open rebellion against the attempt. You know this, I know this, everyone knows this. The question is how can we (as law-abiding firearm owners) peacefully stop &/or even reverse all of this anti-2nd propaganda & resulting unConstitutional gun-banning legislation before it becomes another contest of arms? Are peaceful armed protests the solution? I personally do not believe provoking the opposition with a force of arms would be productive, protesters holding signs (not firearms), massive letter-writing campaigns, signing petitions, etc are the proper way to do it, however the effectiveness of these traditional methods has so far been questionable, after Sandyhook the anti's still made gains in many states & localities, even if they were unsuccessful at the national level. I'd like to find a peaceful, political revolution/resolution, one that restores the 2nd Amendment as well as the rest of our Constitutional protections & rights, however I do not know if this is even possible at this point, the left is damned & determined to finish "fundamentally transforming" the USA into the USSA.
  16. Welp, the 2nd Amendment was supposed to allow "We the People" to do exactly that, for defense of ourselves, our country & our liberties. But like the rest of our Constitutional protections it has been so corrupted in the name of "public safety" that we are no longer allowed to bear the arms that would allow us to protect ourselves, our country or our liberties, the term "ironic" doesn't even begin to describe it IMHO.
  17. Actually I believe it is more of a libertine sort of "everyone should be free to live where ever they choose" mentality than any sort of corruption. As a libertarian myself I've actually argued against this in libertarian circles, while I agree on principle, reality is not theory & unregulated immigration is great in theory at an individual level, but in reality it is historically very destructive to a society when tens of millions migrate from one land to another in a short period of time. I understand why Rand voted the way he voted, but he's looking at individual trees & not looking at the forest as a whole.
  18. OH NOES he's gotz a gunz! Gets him! *shrug* I will neither support nor besmirch him, I am guessing that he intends to use the charges as "standing" inorder to dispute the legislation's Constitutionality through the court system. At least that is what I hope his intentions were/are.
  19. A shotgun is more versitable w/regards to being a "game getter" so the added bulk/weight of the shells would be worth it to me, as I can guarantee that with a shotgun at my disposal my caloric intake in a survival scenario would be doubled prehaps even tripled vs using any other rifle/pistol cartridge of any caliber. .22LR is a great little round, but most game does not sit still long enough to line up your sights, anyone who has ever done a lot of small game hunting knows this, a shotgun will easily take "a rabbit on the run" or a squirrel who disappears up into their nest, or a startled quail flying off, etc that a .22LR had no hope of hitting.
  20. I've been a Mongoose fan 4 decades, (since my BMX days) they are extremely well made bicycles, darn near indestructable.
  21. Preventing fraud & corruption should be their main priority, instead they are actively protecting it. If the ballot box is no longer an option, that only leaves the cartridge box.
  22. Sorry but it isn't applicable to poor white folks, re-read the article, it's purpose is to end historical community "segregation" by plopping poor black folks into well off white neighborhoods.
  23. Wealth redistrubution at it's finest, eh comrades? Imagine an America where your hard earned money is taken from you by threat/use of force & given to folks who simply voted for it to happen. Well I guess we don't have to imagine it anymore now do we? Our nations "saftey net" for the elderly, disabled & poor has become a feeding trough for tens of millions of abled bodied parasites.
