I can relate all too well. I was in your EXACT position last year. Seriosuly, EXACT (I was 24 and working as a CAD op/Project Manager for a masonry subcontractor). The best advice I can give, aside from get that resume out there, is to keep your chin up. While depressing at first, I eventually came to see my lay-off as a blessing in disguise. It freed me to make a career transition that I had been considering for some time, and I think I'll be happier in the long run.

Well, I can't say they're necessarily resolutions, but they are goals: Continue my path to better fitness (looking for that 3mi in 18min that I had in high school) Find success in my change in career path. Summit a 14'er in CO. Buy a 1911.
