  1. Don't forget to pick a BCG.
  2. Looks like a pretty good setup, by why so set on the Spike's upper? The prices on their lowers are hard to beat right now, and (for the most part), a lower is a lower is a lower. However, at the $480 price range there are plenty of other uppers you can buy out there that are better, and from better companies than Spike's... Spike's screwed over a metric butt-ton of dealers during the post-election frenzy. Why not a BCM, DD, or Sabre? This would fit the bill for your build: BCM M4 16" Upper Receiver Group The handguards you want will go right on, all you would need to do is add a good BCG.

    Die Antwoord

What about Nashville's own "Fistikuffs"? NSFW Language No, they aren't serious. It's a spoof.
  4. I'm no subject matter expert, but I wouldn't think the surface of nylon (or many other plastics for that matter) would be ideal for dying since it's kind of slick, and not nearly as porous as say... cotton, or leather. I remember reading about a guy who had some sort of dying process he used on the gray HK SL-8s to turn them black, but it sounded expensive. I doubt it would work on woven nylons, and even if it did, you'd probably have a lot more invested in the dying process than you would in buying a second set of gear in black.
  5. Irish. As for the "get out" comment, I was referring to the forum. We can't just start kicking ignorant people out of America... The economy couldn't handle it.
  6. Just from my occasional visits over the past week or two, I can see gts' presence here will likely be pretty short term... Really?! So you agree with: Because if so, get out. Really....and dare I ask, how is any of this "factual", as you imply it is.

    Should I?

    AR10 wants paint.
  8. If he wants in that bad, tell him to call his senator and make his case.
  9. Oh, I'm totally w/ you there! After being touted as a $1500 next-gen rifle for years, the $2800+ sticker definitely ruined it for me. As for the weight, I won't judge it until I hold it. It's all about balance for me. Still though, I'm pretty sure my next rifle will be an MSAR or a SBR'd AR as opposed to a next gen rifle like the ACR, XCR, or SCAR.
  10. Well, not being chrome lined isn't that much of a deal breaker. It DOES have a lining... some sort of proprietary nitriding I believe. Supposedly it's just as durable as chrome lining. Oh, and they are offering 1/7 already.
  11. If this thing could hit the shelves at sub-2k, I'd see them selling.
  12. No one can argue that smoking and a stressful job certainly palyed it's part, these kind of things are sadly VERY genetic as well. I remember him mentioning last season (when his issue with the blood clot that passed through his heart came up) that the same thing killed his mother.
  13. I hear the trip to the gate isn't so bad... ... it's the trip BACK that gets you.
  14. I appreciate the advice and kind words from all you BTDT guys! If any of you out there in internet land wish to give me any advice or pointers for the academy, feel free to PM me. I'd appreciate it.
  15. My girlfriend and I have 2 Old English Sheepdogs. An 4yr old male, and a 1yr old female. They're awesome dogs. I don't think I can ever own a non-herding dog again.
  16. I got an awesome call this afternoon.. Looks like I've got a spot in the March academy.
  17. I'd like to go to this, but I'll have to see how my schedule works out. I'd like some face time w/ Rachel
  18. I got a good laugh out of that. Well, you know what Uncle Sam always says, "Why buy one when you can buy two?".
  19. Man, that's terrible. I've always enjoyed the show, and Captain Phil and his crew were always my favorites. Here's to calm seas ahead for the late captain
  20. Who invited Debbie Downer?
  21. Anybody using the Spartacus Workout? I just finished 3 rounds... It's a true ass kicker. Average calories burned in a 45 minute session is 731 (the range is 596-866).
  22. Dropkick Murphys fans? Hippies? This has loads of potential!
  23. I'm a big Tokyo Police Club fan. ETA: That's AWESOME creeky!
  24. He's an FFL holder who deals mainly in LE trade-ins. He sells a lot of new stuff too. He's legit, he just doesn't operate a brick and mortar store (probably one of the reasons he can maintain pretty consistently low pricing).
  25. I'm poak. If you can hear this, you're one of the survivors... The worst part about snow in TN, is that 99% of the populace has NO clue how to drive in it. I live on a hill, and last night there were about 7 wrecks within 1 mile on the hill.
