Looks like it. I wonder what happened to the dog.

When transporting a gas grill in your SUV, make sure the gas is off.

Hey Honey, what's that rotten egg smell? i don't know...let me light a match so I can see. -
Yeah, I got that same email. I have not received mine yet so I don't know if they still intend to ship them or not. The tv news was talking about how to test them...something about holding them in front of a car headlight at night and making sure that no light passes through the lens. I may try this if I get them.

Yep. A used 1966-vintage Marlin Model 99 semi-auto .22 rifle and a new Taurus PT92AF 9mm pistol purchased together in 1992.

Chicago buyback gun turns up at scene of police shooting
i1afli replied to Erik88's topic in General Chat
How do they know that the gun was turned in by the judge?...i thought those buybacks were anonymous. Do they record your name and the SNs of the guns that you turn in? Anyway, my bet is that some of those guns get sold out of the back door of the station. -
Looks like things are only going to get worse in Venezuala. Maduro pushed through an election, in which only about 7% of the population voted, that basically allows him to create an autocratic governance (dictatorship)...then he immediately had the opposition candidates arrested. People tried protesting but Maduro-sponsored thugs kept that in check. It only takes one deranged man, a few zealous supporters, and a disarmed citizenry to enslave everyone.

Convicted felon named Fellony charged with numerous felonies.

I once met a guy named Felatio. -
If you've recently seeded your yard then this can attract them and their visits will subside. Otherwise, difficult to keep them away if you're not there.

My Dad graduated from there in 1942, was in the ROTC...earned a marksmanship medal which I now have. I wonder what he was shooting...too late to ask him. Would love to see the photo. Thanks.

This has happened to me a couple of times...item was advertised as having free shipping but at checkout there was absolutely no way to purchase it without paying shipping, no matter which shipping option I selected. I went ahead and bought the items and then sent Amazon customer service an email (or maybe it was chat) and they immediately refunded the shipping both times. Never been disappointed.

I think they sent him back because they didn't want to take care of him but they didn't want him to die on their soil.
-
Yep, and even private sellers have a better idea of what they have. About the only good deals at gun shows are the privates sellers walking in with something they inherited and just want to get rid of.

Capital police were at the scene when it started and immediately began returning fire. Without them we'd probably be talking deaths instead of injuries and it goes to show how only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with at gun.

If Europe relaxes gun restrictions, will it hurt gun prices?
i1afli replied to Ronald_55's topic in General Chat
This. They'll use the crisis as rationale for further restrictions on gun ownership as well as other infringements upon liberties...wiretaps, curfews, martial law, etc. -
Report provides details from San Bernardino shooting
i1afli replied to Erik88's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Good point. They hit 36 people at the party (12 dead and 24 wounded)...they probably hit someone almost every time they fired. Then basically missed every shot once someone started shooting back. -
This It's either a heavily modified Garand receiver or some kind of commercial Garand/M14 hybrid. However the lockbar rear sight alone is worth $100 or so. I would have have scooped that up for $200 in a heartbeat.
-
Exactly. A couple of months ago they were sending out 20%-off coupons every other week...better deals then.
-
Guardian did have some reasonable prices, the owner was real nice, and I try to support the local shops, but most of the time that I stopped by there were people parked on the stools, just BS'ing, and you couldn't get to the counters to see what was in the cases.

Was thinking about going today but I guess I'll wait. Got a decent deal on a used s&w revolver at the Knoxville location last week. They didn't say so but they seemed to have a "no reasonable offer refused" attitude. I also see that their website is shut down...it shows only a store closing announcement, so I guess no good deals online.

Any interest in Mil-surps here?
i1afli replied to Grayfox54's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Yep, there' s interest here. I wish i was closer to Memphis. Please post sales here before using a gun auction site...more likely to get in-state buyers which can make it easier to complete the transaction. And its nice of you to help out the deceased's family. -
I had been thinking about reloading for a couple of years. Then I picked up a Winchester 1892 in 32-20 and discovered that ammo was about .75/rnd so I decided to take up reloading. Now I reload all of my handgun loads as well as 32-20 and .30 carbne.

+1 Definitely the best in the Knoxville area for used collector guns.
