Men Arrested for Stealing Machine Guns And Silencers From SHOT
i1afli replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
I didn’t see an explanation of how they stole them...or did I just miss it? How’d they get that much stuff out of the building? Since they worked there maybe they had afterhours access, or took them from crates as they they were being delivered. I hate stories that are short on factual details. -
Great idea. The Uber drivers I’ve used all love it. Good luck.

I’d say so...now that you mention it the short-barrel does appear to have a hammer. Good eye!

Exactly. It was definitely laying harmlessly on the floor until he grabbed it. Yet every time the news shows it they say it fired when it hit the floor...because everyone knows that what guns do. Edit: I stand corrected...ABC News just showed, in slow motion, how it didn't discharge until he grabbed it.

Universal background checks is the Trojan Horse...the end game is a gun registry to facilitate eventual confiscation. The only way to implement and enforce UBC (ensure nobody is selling without a UBC) is for the Gubment to know what everybpdy owns.

Seems like quite a stretch to say that the right to assemble/gather or free speech means that a child can walk out of school whenever they want to “express themselves”. Your citatations deal with forms of expression while attending school or school-related events...nothing about a “right” to leave school whenever, which essentially means they’re excused from school.

Dick's Sporting Goods anti 2nd A
i1afli replied to Patrick Henry's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I stopped shopping there when the Dicks in W. Knoxville stopped selling guns a few years ago. -
I saw him in Neyland Stadium when I was a kid back in the early 70’s (I think)...was pretty bored with it...just too young to appreciate it.

Trump urges ban on 'bump stocks,' other gun modifiers
i1afli replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Hopefully the “out” is that they will conclude that a bump stock does not turn a legal weapon into a machine gun...it still requires a pull of the trigger for each shot fired. This would also go a long way towards educating the public in the difference between semi-auto and full auto...although the media would ignore it. -
I really like Scott and the crew at SIA. I may pay a little more for a transfer there but they are friendly and convenient for me.

I did the same thing last spring after a visit to the Mint in Washington and seeing all of the shiny stuff. Gave the kids a few Silver Eagles for their birthdays, and my daughter likes animals so I gave her some 1 oz silver rounds from some African nations that have animals on them. Got all of mine through APMEX . And my wife didn’t complain either

I saw it the other day in the Rifleman and thought it was a little weird...I just didn’t get it. At least it got our attention.

32-20 Blues...a song about the 32-20 compared to the .38 special...never would have thunk such a song existed. I've got several old 32-20's...love'em.

That's why we have limits now.

Cable tv is going the way of the dodo bird. My 2 teenagers watch absolutely NO tv...they're just not interested in it. They watch YouTube channels and streaming video so they need the Internet service but no tv shows.

Boy that really has that vintage used look to it. I like it! Nice.

Went to the fair tonight and it's a real PITA going in. Bags are searched and you have to empty your pockets and be wanded...for an OPEN AIR FAIR! Ridiculous! Of course this makes for long lines. And since everybody has to be searched you can no longer park at the Action Sports (truck & tractor pull, demo derby rodeo, etc) arena were you used to be able to pay for your ticket as you pulled in. You have to park in the more crowded main lot near the zoo entrance and walk back to the AS arena and stand in a long line to be searched if you want to see anything there. There's also a lot more fencing inside the AS arena and cops/security personnel around to make sure that you don't walk on the wrong side of a fence Pure security theater...why do we let our politicians complicate our lives like this?

Wow...that's a real multi-generational shotgun. Great story. Thanks for sharing.

After reviewing the 4473 question i see how the store can get hung up on who's paying for it. Question 11 starts with "Are you the actual transferee/buyer...?", i was thinking it only said "transferee", so i'm not sure how the ATF intends that to be interpreted...they probably don't either.

If he is suggesting that you can fill out the background check for a gun that's going to someone else and that's okay because you're the one paying for it, he is completely backwards on the law (i know about gun bought as a gift but i believe that's a different situation that the Manager was describing.) Its about who's taking possession of the gun, not who is paying for it.
