  1. Hey, what brand is it that Calela's sells? I'm still looking & comparing but this time I want a nice one.
  2. Hi & welcome to TGO. My wife Angel24/7 loves the ladies section I'm sure you will too. Enjoy!
  3. Hi & welcome to TGO.
  4. My next one I think will be the 1873 Cattleman from Cabela's. That's cool!
  5. Hey TDR you need to go ahead & get the pistol like I have before they are sold out. I had a blast shooting it & so did Angel & Dakota. If you don't mind haveing one like mine I don't. Hey we have to start somewhere, might as well start cheep.
  6. I acually like casting the balls. It's not bad with the right equipment. The Lee melting pot Ihave did cost about $90 but it was worth it. I also cast fishing sinkers, jig heads, & spinnerbaits. I enjoy it all & so does Dakota. O the pot holds 20lbs of lead & is a bottom pour so that makes it easy. Iprbably have casted 200 balls in about an hr. of time.
  7. TDR I did shoot some balls that I casted with my mold using pure stickon wheel weights. They worked pretty good. As a matter of fact could not tell a difference. Usually you can ask a tire center & sometimes they will give you some, if they don't that means someone there is selling it for scrap. If you can get some (stickon) weights I will be happy to help you out.
  8. Hi guys! Just made it back from the long trip. I had a blast though I watched Angel & dakota shoot more than I did. The Colt shot great Until I didn't load any powder in one round. Instead of a BANG I got a poof:stunned:, ok though I just remove the ball & go again. Mark thanks for the day at your place. Very nice place & people to be around. Angel is wanting to get another one so I'm sugesting the Cattleman. I'm reminding her that FATHERS DAY is comming up:whistle: wish me luck.
  9. Hey Mark I already had the 20lb Lee bottom pour melting pot. TDR if you would like to use these just let me know I can bring them to work & we can make up all we can shoot. All you need is to help me find as much pure lead as we can. I have plenty of tire weights but they are usually too hard. Though the stickon tire weights are a little softer. Mark I casted a few .454 out of just stickon tire weights so we can try them out. What do you think?
  10. Yea he posted a pic of the car in (what's the downsides of a Glock). I think it was.

  16. The bottom right one without the loading lever was that the cattleman? I want one of the smaller ones now. I may not need to shoot Marks this weekend.
  17. Check your local gun shops & compare prices is what I would do. You can look back on the other BP threads. There has been some pretty informative stuff going on in there.
  18. That is what I thought ( gotta start somewhere). Hey Mike what thread was it you posted the pics of your pistols in? I think that will drive him over the edge, It did me anyway.

  20. No just kiddin. I couldn't resist. I think they are better finishes & overall better quality. Right Mike?
  21. Thanks Mike but just in case I did get a tin of #10 today. I've been wondering about the balls also.Does .454 work well in all .44 cal, or does one try .451?
