Congrats on both! I just got my first 1911. I think I'm hooked.

I just got mine a month or so ago. Have no clue about the age. The only blemish is a scuff about 1/4" long.

It's a pain to start with. I still sometimes have got to get the manual out to get it back together. You do have to hold it just about exactly like the pic does in the book for every step.

I don't have a Glock. Factory Glock barrels don't provide enough resistance to the lead passing through. Not sure in gaschecks would help. Go here & ask they are "experts":D Cast Boolits - Dedicated To The World Of Cast Bullets!

You can order a replcement barrel that's OK to fire cast boolits through.

& a dang good job!! That is a BUTE!!

O yea Mark@sea has a nice collection of firearms. I didn't see a single one of his guns to cull out. Great guy with great guns! Mark I like the one at 1:30!

I think I have found my favorite to shoot. I wish I could have saved the target's from Sunday, they were great. My last test was 14rds 200gr semi wadcutter With 7.2gr AA#5. I got a group about 2 1/2" at 15yrds After 14rds there were 4 big holes in the pattern. But it was rainning pretty good by them & the target didn't make it.

Yes sir tnmalewe can speak all we want in this one:D I have already loded,fired & tesed 2 different rds for it. All in all about 100rds. Everything flawless! I think I likey:tough:. I have about another 200rds to test this weekend.
