  1. China attempted to put North Vietnam in their place back in the late 70's. Didn't workout real well for them and they ended up losing some territory to the NVA. China might want to think a little about that.
  2. Wow! Makes me want a second one!
  3. Louis L'Amour wrote the book Jubal Sacket and this was the pistol Jubal carried.  The Sacket Series of books is a must read for all Tennesseans! http://www.louislamour.com/sackett/index.htm
  4. Love my Izula.  I would love to pick up a ESEE 3 next.
  5. If I know trouble is coming, 1911 all day long.  EDC, Colt Agent snubbie, but I would be just as comfortable with a Ruger LCR or a S&W, 442/642.  I give the little Colt the edge for holding one more round.
  6. I break them by shooting them...  Every rifle I've owned usually shot better than me.  Unless you are a serious target shooter, I don't know that it really matters.  And even then, most serious target shooters change out their barrels every so often.  And those barrels they change out, would be fine for most everyone else, whether you are a plinker or a hunter.
  7. Love my little Izula!  As for the 6, it's just a bit too big for me.  I have Paul Hargis 5" Custom, already, but I wouldn't mind having the Esee 3!  Also wouldn't mind having a Esee with a scandi grind, though, I wouldn't want the coating it, like they use on their other knives.
  8. That's a good price!  I wouldn't mind having one of those!
  9. I believe did and in New York as well. Happened in California as well!
  10. I've owned a S&W 30 in 32 Long ( wish I still had it), and a 36. I've. Also owned two Ruger SP101s in. 357 and .38 and a 2nd Issue Colt Agent. 38 6 shot snubbie. The little Colt is the only one I still have. Colts are known for their triggers and at pretty much the same size as a J- frame, the 6th round is nice! With standard velocity .38s it very accurate and controllable. Unfortunately, Colt pretty much got out of the revolver business, but you can still find these great little pistols on the used market, in a matte, blue, nickel, or SS finish. The Agent and Cobra were made with an alloy frame and should not be used with .38+P. The Detective Special is an all steel version that wonders into the realm of the SP101, weight wise, but you get one more shot. Price wise, these pistols go for $400. To $600. The S&W 30 was a very accurate pistol, but I was young and dumb at the time, and snubbies weren't real sexy. The S&W 36 Just never impressed me very much. Both SP101s were great pistols, but if you are on the thicker waist side of life, better start wearing suspenders, cause you are going to be pulling your pants up a lot. They carry much better in a belt holster than the pocket. You will be very concious of the weight in your pants pocket. I'd go try several pistols out at a range or borrow some from friends and see which one you like better. And go with the lightest thing that's comfortable. Aesthetics and availibility of after market parts doesn't matter much to me, except when it comes to holsters. You are buying a pistol for concealment, not necessarily to show off. As a matter of fact I don't want people to know I'm carrying one. The only time others should see it is at the range.
  11. I can think of several things to go see in Sevier County. Bass Pro, Smokey Mountain Knife Works, The Coleman Outlet, J Floyds and The Pancke Pantry, to name but a few. You have yo know when to go, though. For example, this weekend the street rodd are in town. That's never a good weekend to go there.
  12. I'd love to have a Swede! Your friend is s lucky guy!
  13. If you are looking for magazines, then you are about to find out about the other bad thing with Mini 14s. Mag's can be hard to find unless they are promags and when you find them, they are very expensive. I've had two of them. Now I have a Saiga in. 223. Utterly reliable, a bit more accurate and mag's are cheap.
  14. Thanks guys! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  15. I have a Benjamin Nitro .22, that I picked in a local pawn shop for $70 or so. It's one of my better deals! :) Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  16. In it's present form, will this law allow the carrying of collapsible batons? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  17. Check out a Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar waist pack and get the strapettes with it. I don't think you will be sorry! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  18. Problem? I have no problem! Oooh! A 1911 Micro! I want it!!! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  19. It is! :) Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  20. Dude, I went down this road with my daughter and softball.  STOP NOW!!!  Buying firearms will be MUCH CHEAPER over the long run!!!  The only good thing that comes out of it is the time you get to spend with your kid. Which I wouldn't trade for the world.  Just wish we'd have spent that time at the range instead of at the ball field with a bunch of stupid coaches.
  21. I pocket carry it, with the original sheath. It fits just fine in the right front pocket of my khakis or switchbacks! It's lighter than my RAT1 folder, which I gave to my daughter's fiance.  Played with it enough that I can pull it out of the sheath while it's still in my pocket.  Of course, it takes me two hands to re-sheath it. :)
  22. Cheap doesn't always mean low quality. I love little Rough Rider slip joints. Once you get them sharp, they hold a good edge. :) Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
