1. I know what you mean!  Got two myself!
2. One of the best feeling and shooting pistols I've ever fired!  The one I got to shoot wasn't 9mm.  It was 7.65 Parabellum.
3. I have a list... :)   1. CMP Special Grade M1 Garand with 2000 rounds of Greek surplus ammo from CMP and all the clips I could get.   2. HK Benelli M1 90 12ga Tactical Shotgun.Colt   3. .45LC Colt Peacemaker (Original)
4. Can we see a pic of the New "To You" Car! :)
5. They are talking about Halls, just north of Knoxville.
6. I'd like to see Rossi come out with this rifle chambered in .357/.38.  I would definitely look at buying one!!!
7. Oops! Sorry to disappoint you all. It was supposed to be rare. :)
8. If you are in the market for a nice Swedish Mauser, Crossroads Guns in Fountain City (Knoxville, Tn) has one!  It's an import with a SAMCO Import stencil done discretely on the bottom of the barrel, behind the clean rod.  He is asking $400.  He also has an M1 Garand priced at $1200.  I didn't think to look at the manufacturer.  He also has a S&W .45ACP revolver (old M&P) that he is asking $500.  I got all excited about the Mauser.  Wish I could afford it, but I just got a new to me revolver and my funds are low at the moment.  I have nothing else I want to sell or trade.  Such is life. <sigh>
9. Yeah, the Sequester got it. It was the best campground in the park. :( Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
10. We love Big South Fork!  If you car camp, then Fall Creek Falls is nice.  If we go to the Smokies, we like Abrams Creek for camping.
11.   I was there this afternoon and it was dead! Worst I have ever seen this show.  Father's Day might have had something to with it, too.  But heard a lot of table owners complaining about not selling much the whole weekend.  Prices actually didn't seem much out of whack from what I see here.
12.   Actually, once you go through several years of AYSO and 3 years of middle school soccer, you get used to the rules and enjoy the game!  I'm watching Columbia and Greece right now on ABC.  It's far superior to baseball! :)
13. I've owned several 1911s through the years.  Now I own a Springfield Loaded Edition in SS and it's been a great pistol! I highly recommend it!  But if I were just getting into 1911s, I would not spend $1500 on a new one (but then again, I would never spend $1500 for any firearm).  Instead, I would buy a RIA Government model and a thousand rounds of ammunition and learn to shoot it.  Then I would take the rest of the money I saved from the initial $1500 and do any upgrades I wanted to do to it.  You would come out in the end, with a fine custom pistol!   The only thing I wish my Springfield had was checkering on the front of the grip.
14. Exactly, though I don't want as a survival gun.  I just like a rifle with ion sights.  A rifle seems incomplete with our them.
15. Just as I was getting ready to turn in, the power came on. It was out a little over 4 hours.
16.
Forget the chain saw. Got any det. cord?
I wish! That would fun!!! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
17. A storm rolled through North Knoxville. We have a large tree down in the upper part of the driveway and the power is out. Still raining a little. I was never the one to mix wet grass and asphalt with a chainsaw. Reckon it will wait till tomorrow. So I am setting here, catching up on TGO. Anyone else setting in the dark? Last battle rifle

It has always been my understanding that the cartridge was the difference between a Battle Rifle and an Assault Rifle. Battle Rifles were chambered for "Full Power" rifle Cartridge, such as a 7.62x51 NATO, 30-06, .303, 7.62x54, 8mm, etc, etc. An Assault Rifle is chambered for what is known as an Intermediate cartridge, like the 5.56x39, 5.56x45 and the 7.62x39.    There are some AK variant weapons  chambered in 7.62x51 NATO, in use in military forces around the world, but they are primarily used as light machine guns.  Israel and South Africa quickly come to mind.

New Sig P320

When I commented, I didn't know what Bud's price was.  My comment was based on Steelharp's comment about the price being around $700 and on Runco's comment about the SIG trigger compared to a Glock's trigger.  Based on those comments, why would someone spend the extra $200 on a SIG? Now, that you have straighten me out on the price, I stand corrected.

New Sig P320

Buy a Glock and spend the $200 you saved from not buying the SIG, and buy ammunition.  Seems to be a no brainer to me.  I'm sure it's a nice pistol, but no way it's better than a Glock at that price.
22. Thank god, I had several bricks put back!!!  I need to start looking for some again!
23. I have a Blackhawk convertible.  If a TEOTWAWKI situation arose, it would be one of my go to guns.  It's literally built like a tank, simple and few moving parts, and shoots several different calibers.  Yes it's slow to reload, but it's not going to be my primary. That would be a long gun and I can assure you, it wouldn't be slow to reload.    This not the gun to EDC, though, because it is built like a tank!  I'd also love to have a .357 carbine, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.  I have other wants on the list, before that one.
24. Guess I got him a little riled, but figured he had no right to come to this forum, calling anybody out, with only 10 posts to his credit.
25. Not a good way to influence people on this site, my friend.  Many of us have been to a real shootin' war, and don't care for another, unless it's forced upon us. So don't come in here throwing around that 3% BS and thumping your chest and looking down on us "fairweather ppl".  As long as we still have free elections to elected our own "dumbass" politicians, we still got a free country.  We aren't close to the point of a rebellion yet.
