  1. There's a company that is selling surplus CZ75s here in Knoxville. These might make a great experimental platform for a RDS project. If anyone is interested, I'll dig up a link to one of their pistols on www.Gunbroker.com.
  2. I'm surprised you didn't buy it!!!
  3. That's not a bad price at all for today's market.
  4. Good as gone!!!
  5. Those little FIE autos were sold under several names. Targa was one. Someone here posted a Targa .25ACP for sale the other day. This one was supposed to be a Spanish copy of the Colt Mustang. Pretty sure they were banned from import after 1968. Never could get that thing to shoot more than a couple of shots without jamming though.
  6. This is an example of one. It was actually and F.I. Industries Model D. https://www.threegunnuts.com/products/456
  7. Yeah, I haven't watched awards shows in years. I'm not their demographic. Seems like a lot of others aren't either, since just about every years has a smaller audience than the preceding year.
  8. For the record, I will be 60 next month. Not sure where the time went...
  9. Next month I step up to an older bracket, according to this pole. I'll be an old coot then, but not an crusty old coot, like @Grunt67!!!
  10. You do have a point.
  11. I've thought this for years, Should be a requirement for all schools, regardless of public or private.
  12. This. He only shows up when something happens, spouting borderline antigun rhetoric and stirring the pot. Otherwise, I've never see him contributing anything else here. I blocked him. Better for both of us.
  13. This! I think it's time we (the Firearms Community) start coming up with our own common sense solutions to these issues, or the other side is going to end up winning on this issue and none of us will be happy. Wishing it would all just go away, and ignoring the issue ain't working.
  14. I think it's a huge problem. While we might not see state run mental health facilities for a long time to come, if ever, I think there was and still a place for them. I for one would love to see them come back. However, I don't think for a minute that this would be some panacea for what is happening with most of these mass shootings that are occurring. For the most part, I suspect that these people would be still walking the streets. I can't help but think that somehow we have to come up with a reasonable way to have Doctors place some mental health patients, they deem a danger to themselves and other, on a DO NOT SALE list for firearms. Likely this is not going to make either side happy in the end. But I think all of us can see the need in this. At the same time I think that we, as firearms enthusiasts, need to figure out a way we can embrace Red Flag Laws. There has to be some sort of compromise on this issue at some point, or we will end up being on the wrong end of this issue. I think we can all agree that there are individuals out there that own firearms, that have absolutely no business having them. Another point to consider, is that mental health issues are just one part of the equation. A lot of mass shootings are innocent people getting caught in the crossfire between criminals or they are between then the criminals themselves. I believe this to be a small, but very dangerous minority of people. And I also believe that LE knows exactly who these characters are, in every city. I would love to see a successful sweep of these individuals hauled off to prisons for life or until they are so damned old they are no longer a danger to society. I think if we could solve these issues, you'd see a major decrease in mass shootings and violent crime. These things will never completely go away, but we'd all be a lot safer.
  15. Prayers for all the children, teachers, parents, administrators, church workers and congregation involved in this act of evil. I can't help but wonder if instead of a reaction to certain legislation, it was an act against a religious target with a school. Because that would make a huge splash. Parents put their children into private schools for two reasons, better education and for safety. Well, the safety reason has just been taken off the board.

    Next Glock?

    You should consider a 34.
  17. How well does this little thing shot and how small is it?
  18. This is off topic, but what's up with Memphis Republicans? Rep. John Gillispie (R), Memphis, is a sponsor of this bill making lock boxes mandatory for vehicles. The Largest Source of Stolen Guns? Parked Cars. (yahoo.com) I'm opposed to mandatory lock boxes, but I don't think they are a bad idea at all. That being said we should not ever be making responsible gun owners, criminals. Even though this is just a smack on the wrist, that's exactly what you are doing. I would much rather see, public lock boxes at checkpoints, in County, State and Federal buildings for this sort of thing and for making HC Permit holders be able to carry anywhere.
  19. Honestly, I have no clue. I suspect these are the same guys that have been running a import business down on Chapman Hwy, for decades now, but I don't know and this is the first time I've heard of them.
  20. No clue. I'd ask the question on GB and see what they say. They also have some BHPs, but some of them are really rough and they want $600 for them. Some BHPs that aren't so rough, are $100 more. But the CZ75s look exactly like what you want. They have different versions too. Saw some Bs in there too.
  21. Tercel, there's a company here in Knoxville, that is selling surplus CZ75s on GB starting at $475. They have several. CZ-75 9mm Surplus Pistol - Semi Auto Pistols at GunBroker.com : 977791900
  22. Glocks are boring as hell, but that being said, they just run and run and run and shoot good. Best all around semi-automatic on the market today. I'm a guy with Gen 2 17 and a Gen 5 45 with ameriglo night sights.
  23. Congratulations. You've made me jealous!
  24. Was that 124 gr?

    Cornbread

My grandmothers both made cornbread. One made it every Sunday for lunch, after church. Mom made it every time we had soup beans or vegetable soup. I do the same.
